So my trunk wont open. But its unlocked. Its in the unlocked position, the lever inside the car, you can hear it not hitting the latch. The lock is stuck in the unlocked position but the trunk is sealed shut and the key will not turn. My key is duplicated but its opened my trunk many times before. And then it just stopped. This kinda stuff just happens. My car is getting old and this is not exactly preventable or my fault. It was recommended to me that I find a locksmith. So I called and was told to talk to Keith. Keith doesnt let me explain the entire problem before he starts talking over me. He tells me my key is wrong, not hearing that that key has worked before. I keep trying to tell him what is actually wrong and he talks over me to the point where hes telling me which end of a key goes in a lock. Hes confused by the word "horizontal." Id like to think that I didnt get which end of a key goes into a lock explained to me in great detail because Im young and female and sound like it but who knows. Anyway. I took me car to Comfort Auto Body and Repair on MLK instead. Theyve always been sweet and efficient and they were able to confirm that it was not in fact the key itself, but the trunk cables and latch that open it in the first place that were the problem. They didnt charge me for that assessment and Im heading over in the morning to fix it. tldr; Listen to your potential customers. Get someone with a male voice to talk to them for you. Better yet, dont bother.

I feel that I got very poor service. I came in and asked for help copying one of each of my keys--so it was clear that I was going to need lots of help i.e. more business for them. I patronized this store because it was very close to my house and I figured Id get great service because they were small and local. Not the case. Keith was the one who helped me and throughout the entire transaction he treated me like absolute trash. Anything I asked for got a HUGE irritated sigh and a disgusted look. I have no idea why he directed this irritation at me...I was polite, friendly, and was obviously going to request lots of keys to be copied so...whats the problem? At one point he actually yelled at me! When he did that I said, "Its obvious that you dont want to help me. Can I work with one of your associates?" He just got more enraged at that point. At the end of the transaction he made ME tally everything I had bought, and two of the keys he made did not work. At that point I came back to the store and refused to work with him again, and asked to work with someone else. That guy was very friendly and helpful and fixed the two keys that didnt work. Overall, a very bad experience. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place of business! I would not go there again, and would not recommend their service, nor their customer service or lack thereof.

I had a lock installed on my front door by a very professional locksmith from Atlasta Lock 1 year ago. He told us to call if we had any issues. For about the last 6 months, its been tough to get the key in all the way, so I decided to call today to get someone out to fix it. When I called, I was told I would need an invoice number to have a service person come out. Once I found the receipt, it did not have an invoice number. The woman on the phone said without the invoice number, she would have to charge me, and that since it had been over a year, it was not under warranty. She said that I also didnt have proof that it "hadnt been tampered with." To be honest, it was a very strange conversation. I ended the conversation and said that I would be going with another company... Luckily, I called the lock manufacturing company (which has a lifetime warranty) and spoke with a very nice woman about the lock. She apologized for the inconvenience, gave me her email to send her the door measurements to make sure I got the right size replacement lock, and will be sending out a lock immediately to replace the faulty lock.

If you want gouged call Atlasta Lock and Safe. I needed a non locking door handle replaced. I tried to remove the existing handle to replace with a new handle I had purchased, but could not get the existing handle off. I called Atlasta, who I had worked with before. Their extremely impatient repairman showed up, removed the handle ( he told me a special tool was needed to remove it which was why I couldnt get it removed myself) and installed the new door handle. Work was completed in 10 minutes. I was handed a bill for $90. They will not be used again.

Very frustrating experience. Asked about the return policy, was told a return would be fine, was told about the 10% restocking fee. Tried the next day to make a return, was told they didnt have enough money to refund me and Id need to come back. They said theyd wave the restocking fee for the inconvenience. Came back early the next morning, explained, was told they still didnt have enough money to refund me and that the owner would have to write me a check. Too much hassle for a $140 purchase that was returned promptly, unopened.

The Atlasta repairman didnt have the right lock for a garage door at my rental property, so he bought and installed a Home Depot lock. One key snapped in half 9 days later and no one (Atlasta included) could make copies of the remaining key. Instead of coming out and installing a new decent lock, they gave my tenant a new cylinder and told her to install it herself. I paid $100 for the initial service call and lock and am very disappointed in their follow up customer service. I wont be back.

We have an extremely old (1960s) fireproof file cabinet in my office, and the lock broke. The man who came out to fix it showed up within 30 minutes of my call, and was friendly and knowledgeable. He had to do a little more work because of a problem with the old locking mechanism, but he fixed it so it would work, and installed a new lock. The cost was reasonable, and I am very happy with the service we received. We will use Atlasta again if we have any lock issues.

I have been using the expertise of Atlasta for more years than I can recall. There have only been 2 locks in all those years that they were not able to make a key for. One was a 17th century Pirates chest, which they did manage to get open for me, and the other was a 19th Century Blanket chest that had a handmade lock system. Fast, reasonable, and always amiable. I highly recommend them for your home or your collection if you need lock work done.

We used Atlasta to rekey the locks to our recent condo purchase. Called to set an appointment, they took my name number and said someone would call me back soon. Locksmith called back within 5 minutes and we set a specific time to meet at the new place. Upon our arrival our locksmith was already on site! Thrilled with the promptness along with the speed and accuracy of the locksmith. Would use them again and recommend them as well.
