After being a regular customer with them for years, I found myself in need of work on my Dodge Dakota. It needed a New Heater Core. Small part not too expensive in the grand scheme of things. I asked if I could have the part shipped to them from the local shop due to the fact that I can get an employee discount on parts (I was just looking to save a little money. But can understand if they were nice and simply said "sorry, we cant do that" or "We have had bad experiences and would rather not" or even "No we cant do that". But instead the response was "FINE... That just takes us out of the equation!" I said "So you wont warranty the job if I have the Shop youre going to get the part from ship it to you so I can get my Discount?" the answer was "Well NO. Its not our part were not going to warranty the job if its not our part!" Keep in mind I only wanted a quote to know just how much it was going to cost me. So the Lady that is in charge of the shop quotes said "Did you want to bring in your own Coolant too!?" If thats not a Pissy Attitude I dont know what is!!! So I will say this... I Use to Love the work they did on my vehicles in the past. But not being given any respect as a future customer makes my decision rather easy! I have 2 other jobs I was going to follow up with them after this one and was (that night when I was so poorly treated!) going to get a quote for my GFs Truck hood to be repainted at the same time. Its going to take an extreme act to convince me to return to "Mackins"! Happy Holidays to you too Mackins!

Mackins repaired our bumper in an insurance claim and did a very sloppy job. We asked them to do a better job and our Insurance agent agreed to cover the costs. We droped off the car on tuesday morning and I had to drive my girlfriend to work along with her child to his daycare for three straight days, A total of 9 hours of driving. My girlfriend called Mackins today which is Thursday to find out when she should pick up her car this afternoon. It turns out that they did nothing to the car the last three days because our insurance agent wanted to come take a look at the car. Why did nobody call us the last three days while we were car less? I asked the representative who was covering our case at Mackins and he said that he had been very busy and thats why he called us on thursday(today) to let us know nothing had happened. Yet, he didnt call, my girlfriend had to call today to find this information out. Why not just have us drop off the car when you are ready to start working on it? Why did they not take any accountability for wasting out time? This is very frustrating as I will have to spend the next week transporting again due to their negligence. The representative seemed very nervous because he knew he should of called us. Rather than even apologize he blamed everything on All State. Save yourself the trouble and do not do auto-body with an incompetent business

I am so disappointed in Mackins. Ive used them several times in the past with excellent results. Not so this time. My car was vandalized and Safeco sent me to Mackins to get an estimate. I went and agreed to having them do the work. All I needed was a new rear passenger window and an antenna. The total estimated time to do the job was 3 hours. I dropped the car off at 10:30am and got a call in the early afternoon informing me my car would not be ready til the following day because their technician broke my window clips and and new ones were on order. I asked them to get me a rental car since they couldnt deliver the car in the time frame they promised. Scott (a Mackins mgr?) refused. Nice. So I shelled out money for a rental car. So much for customer service. I picked up the car the following day and the used glass they installed was dirty and had two rock chips on it. Funny thing is I inspected the glass with Mackins employee Hector prior to the installation and didnt see any defects. My hunch is they damaged it and installed it anyway. Nice. So much for doing quality work. Now I have to go back and have Mackins install another window and hope they dont break the clips! I swore by these guys in the past. Now I just wanna swear at them. Never again.

Ended up here after a crash because they have an understanding with the tow truck company across the street, which happened to be who towed my wife from the crash site. Had what I thought was a good experience getting it fixed - Mackin worked well w/ the other partys insurance and gave us some pointers about dealing with the insurance company. They had the van fixed up and back to us quickly. Unfortunately speed is not always a good thing. There was a nasty rattling that caused me to bring it back - theyd missed a nut so something was loose and rattling. They fixed it quickly and got it back to me in a day. It still doesnt feel right though. Its burning oil to where I have to add quarts between changes. That was never a problem before. They swear up and down it doesnt have anything to do with the crash or their repairs (or lack thereof). So after a good first impression, Im left feeling like I got shafted.

I took my vehicle to to Mackins after getting swiped by a public transportation bus and they did a phenomenal job. They kept me up to date on the status of my vehicle both phone call and text message, as requested. My vehicle was also done 3 days sooner than initially expected. Since my damage was done at the front drivers bumper they did a realignment and detailed my vehicle. They also touched up a rust spot on the opposite side of my vehicle as a courtesy. Hector was my helper and he was such a pleasant associate to work with. I could not be happier with my experience and I would recommend this shop to anyone!

Big thumbs up for these guys. Auesome friendly and very professional business with a welcoming charm from the employees. All the tech auto body guys are exceptionally focused. their attention to details and fine precision work when it comes to fixing your vehicle it is no wonder how they are still Here since 1945. Your vehicle is in thru an estimate and off to the hands of auto body then straight across the street for fresh paint job and into the detailers bae shop for a fresh clean prep. And before u know it ur back in the drivers seat

These guys rock! I go here for all my service and never have an issue. They are honest and get their work done quickly. I was also recently in an accident and when I got my car back (5 days earlier than expected) they had washed the outside and had the inside detailed-the cleanest my car has been since I bought it! Debbie the office manager is great at explaining things and making sure you know what is going on with your vehicle.
