I called Active Auto Body to inquire if they would look at some pictures of my damaged Audi. I asked if I could send digital photos via email to get an estimate of the costs and procedures that the repair might entail. Megan, the woman who answered the phone, treated me with no respect and said "were probably not the right shop for you" without any explanation as to why that this might be the case. Her tone of voice was extremely rude. I wasnt able to get any further information from her since she terminated the conversation by hanging up on me. The entire conversation probably lasted about one minute. Im not exactly sure why they would wouldnt want my business, but after the experience I had with Megan--I can agree: Active Auto Body is NOT the shop for me. As a shop that prides itself, as its website states on "Quality Service, Quality Craftsmanship, and Quality Repair," Im extremely surprised that the owner would allow an individual with such poor customer service skills be the front line ambassador for potential business. I know a large number of people in the German automotive service/consumer related industry in the area. I will be sure to pass along my sentiments regarding Active to anyone looking for body work in Portland. I can simply tell them what I was told by their employee: "its not the shop for you."

I hope to not have to comeback here (since it means damage to my car), but if anything ever happened to my car again, I wouldnt hesitate to bring it here. My sweet little honda was broken into, and the drivers side front window was smashed and distributed over the front half of the car. This body shop was the closest that my insurance took, and close to a MAX station so I could still get to work. It was quick and easy to drop off. We discussed cleaning out the car, replacing the window, cleaning out the door, repainting the door where the broken glass scraped it, and they epoxied a dent in my windshield, too! I got a call a few days later that it was done. When I went to pick it up, Joel explained very clearly and politely what theyd done, and care instructions for the paint. My window and the paint job have a warranty for the life of the car, too :) It wasnt fast (probably because of the painting and curing times), but it was handled seamlessly and professionally. Everyone I interacted with was courteous and professional. If Id looked them up beforehand, Id be afraid of going there bc they seem more geared towards luxury cars. But, they took care of me and my little honda, and I would recommend this shop to friends, and take my car back if something happened.

Excellent customer service. Back in January, somebody backed into my BMW in a parking lot, denting the rear quarter panel. Rasmussen BMW recommended Active Auto Body, telling me thats where they send all of their body work. Joel was very friendly, and explained everything theyd do to repair the damage in detail. Once everything got worked out with the insurance company and they started the work, he kept me updated on progress. The car came back looking as good as new. They even touched up some unrelated door dings for me. I was a little obsessive about the sound of the door near that dented quarter panel, but Joel was happy to do some tweaks until everything was just the way Id remembered it being before the accident. If I annoyed him at all, he certainly didnt let on. I would happily recommend them to anybody I know who needed body work on their car. I hope I never have to get another dent repaired or anything, but theyd be the first place Id go. And Id definitely call them if I was planning to repaint a vehicle.

Great customer service and great work! I called my dealership to inquire as to whether they do collision-repair body work and was referred to Active Auto Body. As if the endorsement by my specialty-dealership werent enough, I arrived to find a number of luxury automobiles from different makers, domestic and foreign, which were being serviced there. The staff was great, explained the entire process and were true to their word regarding time-frames for the repair and what to expect. I stopped in to pick something up out of my car mid-repair and observed the technicians hard at work and taking great care with my vehicle. The shop never cut corners and was firm but fair with my insurance company as to which repairs needed to be done and with what type of materials. The finished product was perfect in every way and months later, Im really pleased with the work. I would definitely take my repairs there in the future.

Well, $1200 expense just to get an estimate isnt positive. I pulled into the drive across the road to turn and park outside their shop, cracking my front spoiler on my e39 M5 in the process as the drive had such a steep transition. When their guy came out to look at the car he told me to "pull into that spot across the road, thats where we do our esrimates when the shop is busy" I asked him "you mean that one with the steep incline?" "Yeah" he said. I told him I just did that and cracked my spoiler. All I got was an oh dear how unlucky, response and a $1200 estimate to replace and paint. So in essence, I cut out the middle man in damaging my car, which they would have done if I hadnt been so unlucky. No gesture of rectifying the situation at all. They were friendly though, Ill give them that.

Im extremely happy to have my 2011 Volvo C30 back and I have Active Auto Body to thank for that. I was worried that my car would never be the same after the collision I was in, but Active assured me that they would make sure that I would never know it was in a collision. They stayed true to their promise the body work looks excellent and my C30 drives just like it did before the accident. They said my car would be a challenge and a large job and they definitely pulled it off! Active was very accommodating I felt like they were always on my side when dealing with the insurance company. I would definitely recommend Active Auto Body if you are looking for great customer service and quality work.

So, I rammed my white 328 into a huge weighted traffic cone first thing this morn on my way to work. Naturally I was so flustered and scared being the first time Ive ever hit anything in my life, I called into work. Obviously I was on a mission to get my car fixed. So I called bmw portland who referred me here. Let me just say this guy is seriously amazing! He came out and literally wiped all the bright orange stuff off! I felt so dumb since all he used was thinner but I was so happy! I was literally ready to give him like $500 for a new paint job. I feel he could have easily taken advantage of the situation being I was so naive. Lol. Point being, he wiped it off and didnt charge me anything!

I recently had an opportunity (due to an auto accident) to have my truck repaired at Active Auto Body. I met with Megin and from the moment I walked into the office until I picked up my truck , I was treated professionally and with great courtesy. The information I was given was correct and timely. I have worked with other auto body shops in the past that paled in the quality of service and work. My truck was repaired "perfectly" and clean as it was when I purchased it, new. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to my family and friends. Thank you again
