I did my research when I first engaged Sparkling Palaces to be my first ever cleaning service a few years ago. I was convinced I wanted a no chemical approach and got bids from several "green" services. Sparkling Palaces was slightly higher than the others, but I opted to contribute that little extra for a few big picture bonuses: a lower carbon footprint, since they schedule houses in clusters by area to limit driving; and supporting a small company that pays solid wages to retain good staff. I found out that I was spoiled by my first choice, as Amy made sure I was satisfied with the service through frequent communication and adaptation to my picky preferences. When rates went up to keep pace with the times, my husband and I decided to get few more bids from other "green" companies and changed service to a rate similar to what we had been paying for Sparkling Palaces. After only six months, though, we knew we had made a mistake. The meticulous attention to detail we had taken for granted from Sparkling Palaces service was missing. Now that Sparkling Palaces has taken us back, the floors gleam, the kitchen shines, the bathrooms glimmer, and the dog wags more. They tell me its just ionized water in the funny bottle they clean with, but I think there must be fairy dust in there. The moral of the story is: you get what you pay for. Personally, I prefer getting all my needs met, value for my money, a pleasant attitude in satisfying my requests, and feeling good about limiting our overall footprint and supporting a small, local business.

Sparkling Palaces had been coming in on occasion to clean our rental house, so of course when we finally bought our own place, they were top of list to call prior to our move in date. I honestly didnt think that the house was in that bad of shape, but after the sparklers left, the house was really transformed! Verity was just so thorough and thoughtful. She took such care and genuine pride in her work. The determination to get our upstairs cat smell free was above and beyond. Nick and Dakota were both incredibly detail-oriented. Nick must have scrubbed every surface in the kitchen twice! The bathroom was like new after Dakota was done with it. Above all was just how much all four sparklers really cared about their work. Nothing was cleaned at less than 100%! I had to be at the house to receive lock smiths and cable installers, and for the first time witnessed them work. It really made me appreciate the care and energy it goes into their work. Amy has an amazing team. Its rare that you find people who have so much pride in their work as the Sparkling Palaces staff. Thanks again for everything!!!

Sparkling palaces has been cleaning our house every other week for about 6 months now. It is by far the best $ I have ever spent. Their attention to detail is remarkable. I leave for work and I come home and its like our house was visited by a magical cleaning fairy. Everything is immaculate down to the making of the beds and the lining up of my childrens stuffed animals on their beds. I love the way our hard wood floors feel on my bare feet after a sparkle. I love the vaccum tracks on the rugs. I love the way the stainless steel in the kitchen shines, all smudges from little hands gone. Little legos hiding in couch cushions set on the window sill. I interviewed several cleaning agencies prior to deciding on Sparkling Palaces and I went with them because of their attention to detail. I was pleasently surprised by their attitude. They genuinly love to clean and it shows. They take pride in their work and it shows. I am so grateful that I found them and I couldnt be happier.

Heres the email I sent within hours of the Sparklers leaving our home: " Amy: Your sparklers are AMAZING!!!!! I just loved them. Everything. They were so professional and sweet and their work is incredible!!! I ended up being at home all day unexpectedly, as my little Georgia girl got sick last night during the night and I didn’t want to leave her here alone (though I now think she would’ve been just fine with the sparklers ;) I was worried about being in their way or messing up their flow, but it was perfect. At one point I just happened to hear one of them say something like: “This is why I love cleaning houses…” I didn’t hear what came before that or after as I promise I was NOT eavesdropping. :) I just thought when I heard it: man, how lovely to have people in the most intimate space of your home who genuinely love the work they’re doing. So wonderful!! I could feel it and see it in the results!"

Amy Boggs and her staff have been cleaning my home for approximately a year - a good amount of time to evaluate performance, consistency and the handling of any issues that might arise. They receive 5 stars on all counts! The thoroughness of the cleaning and the respect for ones home that the Sparklers exhibit is excellent. Any situations or questions that arise are solved/handled by Amy in a speedy, clear manner aimed at pleasing the client but without compromising the protocol of her business. This is an indication of a tightly-run business with procedures and standards in place that always guarantee a job well done. There are many cleaners at lower prices that may well do a good job; however, they need directives and supervision. Sparkling Palaces always manages every aspect perfectly so you can truly walk away and come back to a beautifully clean home.

Amy and the Sparkling Palace crew have been helping us keep our house clean for almost three years. They do amazing work and every interaction I have had with any of the employees has been pleasant. It is clear that Amy has created a positive work atmosphere and everyone cares about doing a great job every time. We picked this company over others because Amy made the thoughtful decision to use products that are gentle on the environment that do not leave behind potentially toxic chemicals. We have stayed with them because they do exceptional work. They are kind to our children, our pets and to us and I trust them to be in our home when we are not there. Weve used other services in the Portland area and in other places weve lived around the country. Nothing comes close to the quality of work the Sparklers do and the professionalism of Amy (the owner) and her office staff. They come at the same time every week and send out reminders the day before. They do a beautiful job -- our home is spotless after every cleaning. Every Sparkler Ive met is a lovely person and hard worker. We couldnt be happier with them. Im not sure what expectations others have, but Sparkling Palaces is in line with all the other services weve used through the years in terms of what they will and wont do. I cant imagine expecting more than what they offer. Fantastic company with fantastic people. Highly recommend.

Plain and simple: Amy and her Sparklers know their stuff. Not only that, they do it with energy and care. I recently moved into a large, older Portland home, and have been struggling to keep it as clean as I wanted. My mother is from the south, so I know what CLEAN is supposed to look and feel like - I just rarely have the time or patience to achieve it myself. So when I met Amy and she pointed out to me all the details they would routinely take care of, I was hooked. And my initial deep cleaning did NOT disappoint! My kitchen chrome gleamed! My cabinets shine! My basement is a different experience! MY SHOWER GROUT IS GORGEOUS. I am so glad I found this passionate and local service.
