I am going to this laundry today, it is not really based on the reviews as many of them were not positive. Then I realized that the negative comments were mostly about the "unsavory clientele" meaning the homeless people using the laundry and hanging out in the nearby area. I have no wish to judge anybody especially the homeless as I was homeless until I finally qualified for SS Retirement and my pension from my last long term job. Just 1 1/2 months ago I was able to get my own apartment after many years of staying at other peoples houses and sometimes camping or living in my car. Homeless people helped me when I needed it and hopefully I will never forget their generosity and help to survive on the streets. Therefore this is the laundry I am going to for that reason, lest I forget.

Theres several reasons I love Sunshine Laundry. Besides the warm, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They have large washers that are perfect for my busy family and cut down on time I spend on laundry altogether! :) they work within the community and aide in a big way to the homeless by offering vouchers thru local non-profit. I have been on both sides and that meant a lot to me. Now I go there weekly and pay a little more than $1 per load using the large machines. Lastly, the honest hardworking staff deserve to be complimented in their areas of Customer service. I recently left a large bag of wet laundry and not only did they still have it the next day, but they went over and above and dried my clothes for me so they wouldnt mildew. Thanks again. I appreciate yall :")

This laundromat fills all my needs. There are plenty of machines available, and they all work well. Its open til 10pm or later every night. Theres free wifi to keep me entertained if I sit around and wait. Or I can go to the Mexican restaurant across the street for a snack and I beer. Even though there are some times a few sketchy people in the laundromat, I never worry about leaving my stuff in the washer or dryer b/c the laundromat is fully attended. And that is the best thing about this laundromat, the attendants. Penny is a sweet heart with customers and absolutely ruthless with stains. Shes gotten stains out of my husbands ties that other dry cleaners missed. And the prices for dry cleaning here are excellent!

Left my macys awesome blanket for half an hr there and came back just in time for the cycle to be over...my blanket is no where to be found. I asked the attendant(bearded old man) if he had seen my banket, he aggressively pointed at the sign and said were not responsible for your stuff. We found the banket in the dryer. One of the crakheads that hangout there had put it the dryer so he can take it home. When I shouted at crackhead asking him why he would ever touch stuff isnt his and hes a thief the attended jumped in and SIDED WITH THE CRACKHEAD THEIF!!! BE CAREFUL PEOPLE. The owner and his employees are shady!!

I went to the same laundromat off and on for many years until it sold to someone who is tripling prices. I like this new place. The same woman has been working all three times Ive been there and she is helpful and friendly. I use the giant multi-load washers and they seem to work well, as do the dryers. Sometimes it gets crowded so I try to go early am on weekdays to make sure there are machines open. Its a little more expensive than my old place but its worth it for the newer machines. I did a little comparison shopping and this laundromat has better prices than others Ive looked at.

I like washing my clothes here but their website needs to be updated because they do not stay open til 11:00pm how they claim they do. I caught 2 buses to get there it was 9:40pm and they wouldnt let me wash my clothes. Im pretty upset with them over this because not everbody drives and it took me an hour to get there. Have something posted on a door and not on the website is not fair when you are expecting to do your laundry. I know that i am not the only person that this has happen too.

I have been doing my laundry here for over five years. They supposedly have cameras in place, but when our laundry was stolen nothing was done about it! Also they let homeless and stinky people do there laundry there. When I mentioned it bothering people including myself the attendants didnt care. You shouldnt have to sit in your car because of the amount of b.o in the laundry mat. Im definitely looking for a new place to do my laundry.

Of all the laundromats Ive used in Portland, this one is on par with most all of them. They dont have text notification like a few competitors, but they do have a good number of machines in sizes ranging from small to gigantic. The staff are friendly and helpful, and PRESENT unlike many other laundromats Ive visited. I frequent this place, despite on site laundry at my apartment.

Its a very busy place but there are plenty of machines for almost everyone. Im not sure if the staff there has been through a lot or if theyre just naturally mean. But I enjoy them lol. They do not put up with anything! Its a great place to go. Its clean and the machines are quick.

This is to the very special Tina Sanchez...How are they suppose to not stink if they cant wash their clothes? I suppose you are one of those people who thibk they shouldnt use public restrooms either. Because hey homeless arent really people right?

Just in town for a couple of days and needed to do some laundry. This place was reasonably priced with quick dryers. 75 cents and a full load with jeans was dry. The video games and wi-fi were a bonus. Nice, helpful attendants too.

I used this place a few times in the past. The first time was a good experience Clean and nice staff. The last two times have not been good. Staff less than helpful when machines malfunctioning. Disappointing as it used to be nice.

As a laundromat I have no idea, but as a dry cleaner this place is great. People are always helpful, turn things around quickly, have long hours and the quality is great. Its also extremely reasonably priced.

I do my laundry here weekly. It is always clean, and well taken care of. The staff is also quite friendly. If youre too lazy to wash yourself they offer a wash and fold service as well.

Lots of room,clean,has tv,WiFi and you can use your debit/ credit card on machines! Theres always a washer open even if you wash on sundays! Was a lifesaver until I got a new washer.

This is a well run laundromat. Good machines, clean, safe and staffed. If you live in the Gateway area I highly recommend cleaning your clothes here.
