Ive never had an issue with the post office in my life, but this particular branch takes pride in being the least friendly, accessible, and rude public service I have ever encountered. I was out of town for one week, they stuffed my mailbox full of junk and when I did not collect within that period, they took all of my mail to their office and left me with an extremely vague notification. No address as to where my mail was being kept, just "we have your mail, if you dont come pick it by x date, we will return it to the sender." Please keep in mind this place is open from 8:00 - 5:00 PM and not on the weekends. I decided to roll the dice and hope I had received nothing important during that time. Well, now I dont get any mail at all. Then when I called to ask where my mail was I was told, "I dont know, I would have a better idea of guessing the lottery numbers correctly." Are you kidding me? A public service paid for by my tax dollars and your going to talk to me like that? I completely understand that their are policies in place, but after all the red tape, why allow the dude with a 4th grade education to answer the phones? Come on USPS, I gotta believe youre better than that. One things for sure, the West Slope Post Office is not.

Last summer they delivered a computer insured for $4000 by dropping it on the driveway and not even ringing the doorbell. They dropped it so hard a hard drive dislodged, causing over $400 in damage. Then they gave me inaccurate info on how to file the claim, so we were unable to do so. They then crammed my sons PhD diploma into the box so that it creased. It cost $30 to replace. Yesterday they left the box open with mail in it and a package rubber banded to the open door of the box on a a rainy windy day. Every time I call them they are polite and say they will talk to the carrier, but it doesnt seem to do much good. I dont know why Im even writing this; its the postal service and it doesnt matter if they get poor reviews. I would just say, if you have something valuable to ship, do it with UPS. Whenever I have an item of value to ship and I want it done right, I go to our local UPS office; theyre very helpful and attentive.

A different post office lost some certified-mail signature cards I purchased, and a guy at West Slope (I never found out his name, sorry!) helped me out by finding electronic versions of the signatures and mailing them to me. So cool! My letter-carrier, on the other hand, goes to ludicrous lengths to avoid doing three-point turnabouts in my cul-de-sac, including leaving little complaint notes every time a car is parked anywhere that prevents him from making a forward-moving U-turn, even if its nowhere near a mailbox, and calling the sheriffs office and telling them my car was abandoned to scare me into parking elsewhere! Points for adding to my list of funny stories, but Soooo not cool, dude!

The "Sorry we missed you" slip was completely illegible, so I was unable to ask them to redeliver the package. They kept me on hold for nearly 40 mins. The woman who answered mumbled, spoke extremely quickly, and then started sighing and giving me a hard time when I asked her to repeat things; her customer service only declined further from that already stellar start. In the end, they couldnt figure out where my package is, so I must now take time off of work to bus out to them to get my package, because their hours are likewise terrible.

I wish I could leave a 0 star review. This post office regularly takes 4+ days to process packages dropped off there, including priority mail packages that have 2 day delivery promises! They lost multiple wedding invitations sent through them, and caused us to nearly lose our venue as they lost our final payment. Theres no accountability for their lack of caring to their customers. This is ridiculous. Find another way to mail your stuff with a place that does their job.

I called the post office today and the gentleman on the line was very helpful. I think he was the manager from the way he spoke about the clerks and how he has trained them better. Any ways I was looking for my package from fed-ex that was transferred to USPS and he helped me find where it was and put a note on it so it would be delivered and left at the door since I would be at work when the mail delivery normally comes by.

I mean, its a post office so it has its issues, but Ive had two experiences in a row where I left so impressed. Two different employees were so personable and helpful. It was awesome.

The people or persons that deliver our mail to a buisness dont do it correctly or sometimes at all. And if and when you want to talk to a person they dont answer the phone

I call post offices all day with my work trying to find lost packages, and this is the first one to pick up right away and help me out. Really helpful.
