Cant believe how it feels to have a trusted Mechanic !! Started with a valve cover oil leak (on my 1999 Jeep) that I took to my old mechanic (Certified) who had changed hands, well after the first time it still leaked, took it back again, it still leaked, the 3rd time they said it was a warped value cover and they couldnt fix it ! My neighbor used Dave Power for his boat, said to try them ! Took it to Dave told them the story, He said Hed get it fixed ... They found that Certified Auto hadnt even put a gasket on the valve cover ... well they fixed it and pointed out a few other things that need repairers ...Well, the valve cover STILL LEAKED ...So, took it back to Dave and Henry said it probably the exhaust leak just below the oil leak, heating up the valve cover ... Fixed the exhaust problem and Replaced the valve cover with one of the mechanics old ones he had (with no charge) just paid for the exhaust manifold leak ... OIL LEAK ? Problem Solved !! ... Ive taken it back and will continue to do so ...

I had both an emergency repair and a number of maintenance items done during this visit. I was impressed at how they understood budgets and the need to pick and choose. The did not push any service or operation. When unexpected items were discovered, an immediate phone call alerted me to the fact with the option to complete or skip it. Their estimate was spot on. Service was timely. I felt that I was in control of the transaction instead of being buffaloed into extra service on someone elses time frame. You can tell a lot about a business by how they interact with unexpected "problem" customers or repeat customers who might not be spending as much. Even the owner picked up the phone routinely and knew many of the customers by first name. They made time in their schedule for an emergency service and treated the customer respectfully and as if their money was the same as anyone else. Definitely going back with a different truck, a 1996 LandCruiser.

What an experience! I was referred to Dave Power by a friend and I am sure glad I took my time to drive there (3 hrs) for their service. I was purchasing a boat from a private seller and wanted Dave Power to do an inspection and appraisal. Dave and his team was EXCELLENT! They are great people. They knew what they were doing. They took their time to help me and deal with my credit union. They were honest to both me and the seller. I wish they were closer to where i live because I would make them my main place to go to. I really think you guys are aces. We bring in a car that is completely unrecoverable and you really treated us like we brought in a Lincoln Continental. You didnt have to arrange the tow, but you did. You probably didnt charge us for everything you did either. This is why we keep coming back. Dave has hired quality master mechanics and Im so pleased his sons are being groomed to take the place over. They all do amazing mechanic work as well as customer service.

If you have a daughter who goes to school at Willamette University and youre looking for someone you can trust to take care of her car since youre too far away, this is the place. My daughter is graduating this year and I can only hope to find such a place again wherever her schooling takes her next. Four years of absolute honest and first rate service. I will miss these guys.
