I honestly wish there could be a half of a star! Dont get me wrong the people who work there are nice, but its almost like its a front they put on. Im a college student and dont have a lot of money. I only wanted them to check out my brakes. They told me it would be a courtesy check, which in my mind meant "free." That was not the case at all!! The guy I talked to never mentioned a bill and made it sounds like it would all be done for free. After the "courtesy check" was done I got my car back, with a bill of $87. As soon as began to back my car up it made a strange noise. That noise never once was made before. Then stangely enough a belt started making noise, which they said should be changed because they noticed a crack in it. That belt never ever made a noise before! My brakes stated making noise and acting strange. These things never happened before I took it in. Guess what they recommended me to do... change my front and rear brake pads and rotors. Their estimated price for that to be done was $1400 dollars all the way around! Now understand my car is a BMW. Its only a 2005 and nothing special, but I feel the mechanics thought theyd pull money out of me because the brand of my car. I went and got another estimate for the price if I bought the parts and it was $530 total for everything! I will never go back to sun automotive! Never in my life have a experienced a automotive shop like this place. Absolutely terrible and they are all about money!

Ive been a customer of Sun Automotive for nearly twenty years and they have serviced and repaired all of my familys vehicles during this time. The slogan "Where trust is a tradition" really applies. As a proactive used car and light truck owner, I need to know the ongoing condition of my vehicles and I trust the service managers and their techs to take care of my vehicles, to find and fix things before they fail. I have had very few breakdowns over the years thanks to their preventative maintenance. All our vehicles have well over 100K miles, newest is over seven years old and two are 26 years old. One has 258K+miles on it. Unless you are going to trade your new vehicle every year or so while it is still under warranty and you never pay for any maintenance. you have got to have a reliable proactive service program manager in charge. Mark and Craig and Marty at Sun Automotive do that for me. I wouldnt trust my vehicles to anyone else. Thanks Sun Automotive! Charlie Schroeder

I took my car into this shop because it had some pretty good reviews and the prices I was quoted over the phone were reasonable. Happily, I was not disappointed with the quality of their work or the service I received. Mike was really great at listening to me, answering my questions, and keeping me apprised of what they were doing. No high-pressure tactics to get me to do things I didnt request, but they let me know the work I could benefit from in the near future. As a woman who likes to do my own repairs, I really appreciated this. And they were very fast and stand behind their work. My 10 year-old car now runs like new--totally silent and smooth. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Sun is a small shop close to where I live. Ive checked major repair prices against the dealer and they are always fair. They use honda parts when they work on my honda. When my brake calipers were making noise, they found some parts at a junk yard to replace them the same day. They never arm twist me into stuff I dont need. When they do regular stuff like oil changes they inspect your vehicle, vacuum the interior themselves, and give you a coupon for a free car wash. They always seem happy to get my business and do their best job for me. Are they perfect, probably not. But they are the best Ive found since living in the area for 20+ years.

I have been taking my car into Sun Automotive for a year now and Im always pleased with the service I recieve. Mark at the front desk is very knowledgeable. He never pressures me into doing more work on my car than what I can afford, instead he offers me the option to replace things that are going to need replacing very soon or could go out unexpectedly while the car is being worked on. This has saved me hundreds in the long run. I will continue to take my car to Sun Automotive.

Rip offs! They take avantage of women! My wife took our car to them and they tried to charge her 200 dollars for a diagnostic and then didnt do all the work they should have done when i called to complain they tried to argue with me but then gave in and said they would do the rest of the work and only charge for parts but that was a lie and they still charged my wife for the labor they said would be free.

I have been here 2 times. 1st time made an appt and they got me in and out. 2nd time had an issue with the work truck and had no appt but was pleasently surprised that they would take care of me asap. They knew i needed my work truck so it was extremely helpful that they squeezed me in promptly. Great courteous service. Took care of the issue and no nonsense. Highly recommend.

My wife went in, they gave her a laundry list of parts that they claimed needed fixed. I was suspicious because I had been under there a lot and I didnt think they were bad. She took it somewhere else and they didnt think any of Suns claims were true. Sun basically charged her to lie to her. We will never go to Sun again.

I have asked them to take me off there email list for 3 years now. still not done. In fact i would like to know how they got my email since i did not live in oregon at the time i got this one. So if you want a place to harrass you and not listen to what the customer wants this is the place to go

Car care Nirvana! I found the place I had only half believed existed, and for over three years they have never let mgr down. These guys will go the extra mile, Im always treated with respect to my intelligence and pocketbook, and I get a nice car wash certificate to boot! These guys rock!!!
