Had my Evo X turbo rebuilt by Turbocharger Systems and boy oh boy was I happy. The turbo is helping me make 560whp at 32psi. Only thing limiting me from making 600whp is i still have a 3 bar map sensor. I have ran the car hard on the road course and used launch control a few times and this turbo performs better than the OEM unit in all aspects. It also spools very quickly. I am using the Stage 2 Evo X turbo they offer. its easily the best stock frame turbo for the Evo X. Kent is a good man. Seen some of the reviews on here, and it seems people dont understand how a business works and the fact that nothing custom is ever done a lightning fast speed. Good work takes time, dont rush it. Send in your turbo and you get it back when its done. Its really that simple. I have raced other cars with similar setups and my setup responds better than all other. This Stage 2 Evo X turbo is the real deal. Thanks for the great product K. and dont let the nay-sayers get in the way of the good work. BTW he also did a locals guy turbo with a simple compressor swap and upgraded bearings and he made good power on pump gas. Keep it up K!

As an acquaintance of Kent Barnes the owner, I was saddened to see what has been written in these negative reviews. I have been employed by Kent at different times in the last 15 years. I have witnessed personally unbelievably unruly behavior on the part of a few select individuals over the years. I have watched Kent act with grace and dignity numerous times when I am quite sure I would not have. I assure you Kent has covered so many turbos with a warranty that did not meet the guidelines just to out of kindness of his heart its a bit ridiculous. I know Kent better than most and assure you what has been written negatively were done by angry young people who could not manipulate their way into what they wanted. My hopes are that my positive review will help calm some of the concerns that have been raised here. People who are not customers should not be allowed to write a negative review on anyone ever anywhere. It is a seriously flawed system setup to strike fear and coerce control out of shop owners. Nothing more, nothing less.

Turbocharger Systems and Kent Barnes, work on and sell factory and aftermarket parts for turbocharged vehicles. He is in business to serve those folks who either have or looking to upgrade their turbo systems. He also will install and modify vehicles to use turbochargers. Recently he has received some bad reviews about his work. People need to realize, you have to be up front with what your end needs are going to be. If you are only going to run back and forth to work, he needs to know. If you are going to run to work weekdays, then go out and flog it down the quarter mile on weekends, he needs to know that also. He is willing and able to meet your needs as long as you let him know what your end use will be. You cant just walk in and say "I want a system to go fast,". He needs to know how fast. The customers, also have to follow ALL instructions and recommendations provided BY them, to get the fullest enjoyment from their systems.

I have been a long time customer and friend of this business, have had only positive experiences, courteous customer support from a very knowledgeable business owner..i shared his business with another friend who had a turbocharger built for his Supra MR2 and went on to be undefeated in his race classes for the last 2-3 years, and others who wont go anywhere else for their work...this man pays attention to detail and takes the time to do it right! Then offers to explain the processes of installation in detail to his customers to afford them a positive outcome! Thanx from us all!!

Ive known Kent for a long time. The turbos he has done for us have been right on. Once we conned him into putting ARB lockers into a Toyota, the work was meticulous, and functions still today. I can call him anytime for clear headed advice on any project. Hes a good source for a tuned turbo or a factory replacement on heavy equipment. in the ten years we have worked with him we have never had a bad turbo. just my experience. most turbo problems come from poor install. follow instructions and u shouldnt have any problems from this outfit, we sure havent .

I dropped off a turbo for repair and discovered it would cost the same a new one, Got busy and forgot to pick it up. I called and offered to pay for handling and or any time he stored the unit, pay for shipping etc... Make it right... This guy told me I was out of luck would not give me back my turbo, was rude, stated he was within his right by law. In other words get lost. BTW I had him rebuild a different turbo two years ago, I reminded him I was a repeat customer - He stated that didnt matter.. Please save your self some hassle go some where else.

Kent at Turbocharger systems has performed inspection and rebalancing for hundreds of our turbochargers. This companys service and expertise is excellent. They know what theyre doing, theyre honest, and they are a pleasure to do business with. Yes, I see some other negative reviews here. And in my opinion this is just another example of the internet being used as a soap-box for cranks. I have installed 5 turbos in my personal vehicles over the years as well as several for fleet vehicles at work from turbo charger systems with ZERO failures, Top notch work, excellent customer service. Ive got a few custom built units from them that perform above and beyond expectations. These guys know their stuff. The R&D that goes into their custom built units is unreal, completely custom billet wheels only offered by them, turning off the shelf turbos from marginal performance to full blown bad ass for years now. Kent at Turbochargersystems is the man, I dont know about them fake negative reviews but I have witnessed nothing but great things being said about his turbo rebuilds and advance knowledge on how to repair them and make them perform even better then the manufacturer...... I sent Kent my borg warner s360 and he transformed it into a s363 Billet turbo with machined compressor cover.......extremely satisfied as the turbo performed awesomely at a lot less boost! Thanks Kent, I will recommend your business to everyone I know!

These guys know their stuff. If you need ANYTHING turbo related, you go here. They are very knowledgeable, very experienced, and design some of their own turbo components from scratch. I had a wonderful experience spending time with the owner while he helped balance my turbo, while also helping me out with an upgraded thrust washer for my turbo. Bottom line: if you need turbo stuff done, come here. Its the only place you will need to go. Its worth the drive.
