I had originally posted a five star review, but was forced to change it after an incredibly unpleasant experience with this shop. I had used their sister-shop for a few years to work on a late-model Mercedes with no complaints - ever. I scheduled a repair to be done to my Volvo for a week that my kids where with their dad and I was off work - I am a single parent, so transportation is a challenge with no car. I was starting a new position after finishing school, and took a few days between jobs to take care of things. I took the car in on a Thursday morning and was told it would be done by the end of the day. End of the day it was not finished. I was told the work would cost between 400-500 for parts and 500-600 for labor. I told them that I would plan on the high end of that, but I could afford no more - so to let me know if there were any other issues. Thursday the car was still not finished. On Friday, they called and told me the car would cost $179.00 more than the high end of the estimate - even though they werent repairing anything in addition to the estimate. I was upset, but didnt know what else to do. Then they called Friday and said the car was still not finished. Disappointing, but I was clear I could manage over the weekend - but I absolutely needed it back Monday as I had to pick my kids up. Uber with three kids is not an option. Monday at 4 they let me know the car is still not ready. At this point, I called a few other shops and was told that this was a really long time for this repair and that the estimate was high. The shop did rent me a car, but it was after multiple phone calls and a ton of trying to arrange pick up for my kids, etc. As of Wednesday - the car is repaired but being aligned. What an uncomfortable experience. If you are not very familiar with cars, dont go here. They kept telling me all this was because my car was "old" - but I am not knowledgable enough to challenge them. My last car was also this old and I didnt have these issues. I have yet to pick up my car, but am not sure what was done and feel pretty unsettled, untrusting about what was done to my car, and how much I am paying for possibly the worst service I have ever experienced.

This place fulfills most negative stereotypes about auto repair shops: up-charging, bait-and-switch, deception, excuses, and outright swindling. We were quoted a reasonable price over the phone, but by the time the car was ready to pick up (three days later than promised) the bill had jumped way up with extra service charges that were not authorized or necessary. The excuse was that the luxury make and model requires the more expensive version of the part, hence the up-charge, even though they knew the make and model when they quoted. When we called them out on it, Elliot, the service manager, blamed his staff for making a clerical error, even though all our correspondence had been through him. Elliot declined to honor the discounts listed on their website even though another employee had told me over the phone it would be honored. The excuse from Elliot was that the website has a mistake and that wed "gotten all the discounting [we] were going to get". (He was referring to his having corrected the up-charging as a discount.) In short, there are honest shops to chose from; Upscale Automotive is not one of them.

I took my Sprinter van into Upscale Auto and not only did they do an excellent job replacing the shocks with brand new Koni shocks, but they were really quick and friendly. My van has never run so smoothly!

Tami Ward is an employee, I wouldnt count her as a reliable source. Look at her comments at Autohaus Bayern and Sprinterstore. Will not be back because they ware nickle and diming everyone

Dave was very friendly and explained exactly what my options were for fixing my car. Thankfully they were able to fix my car the same day! Great shop!

Very helpful shop, honest got a really good price on replacing my alternator and they were able to do it while I waited. Definitely recommend.
