Max RPM is owned and operated by a big, handsome guy named Alex. If Alex is the ONLY person to put tools on your vehicle, then you will get quality work. Otherwise, a crew of hanger-on, 17 year old High-School dropout wannabees will take a crack at it - with disasterous results. I had Alex tune my motorcycle - he tunes it and dynod it to 101 horsepower - great stuff! Hummed like the finely tuned machine it was. I then gave him a Toyota Corolla for him to change out the engine. After 6 months of excuses, failed pickups (car dies in parking lot, or on way home) AND after more than $5000, I had a car that barely ran. I got $500 in trade-in on a new car. His crew had forgotten to fill the automatic transmission case with fluid, among other things, before firing it up. No refunds, no discounts, records mysteriously disappearing... Bottom Line - avoid Max RPM. Go to Firestone.

It is true what alot of the other reviews have said. This is a shop im local to and somewhere that im completely familiar with. The truth is they are a mixed blessing, Alex the owner is probably one of the most mechanically brilliant people i have ever met and the older adults at the shop are phenomenal, but in truth they do hire terrible mechanics that are for the most part (knowing 3 of the kids,namely joey who thank god no longer works there) are losers who did indeed drop out and who have no business around your vehicle. But when you get the right mechanic its probably the best shop within a good 50-100 miles. So just ask for alex to fix your car when you go in or ask for an actual adult or something :)

I have been in the automotive industry for a little while now and have talked with a lot of different mechanics and the team at MaxRPM motorsports are the most knowledgeable technicians I have come across. Not only do they do amazing work, they also make sure its only done the right way. This is definitely the place you would want to take your vehicle if you want quality, thorough, and friendly work done.

I manage a luxury body shop in Gig Harbor and have been dealing with Alex and MaxRPM for several years. I deal with a lot of high end cars and have no reservations sending my customers to this 1st class facility. Just walk through the shop and you will know that youre not dealing with an average mechanic. I recommend these guys for everything from oil changes to engine rebuilds and everything in between.

Took two weeks to get a one day job done......ruined my car and then acted like is was my fault. I have heard many bad things about this shop since the service.....very shady place....beware!!
