Worst salon experience Ive ever had (and Ive had many!) Short story: Newbies working on hair and training other newbies; poor customer service from stylist & owner; refused to apply an adequate compensation for the 3 day mess up they performed on me. Long story: Issue #1: I was in to texturize my crown and receive highlights with a lighter auburn (as my hair is dark brown. My stylist Celeste said that she razors & I told her that I wanted my hair to look the same except to have it less bulk on top. I was very clear that I didnt want to lose any length on the sides or back as I was going to grow my hair out. I also was clear that I wanted a "soft" look. She convinced me that it would not be a problem. When she was done, my hair looked spiky and "butch" and was significantly shorter all around. Issue #2: After being there for a few hours, it was announced that the color didnt take on my highlights because it was probably an "old bottle". This also stripped out my existing color leaving my gray more prominent than before. I was told to come back and they would color my hair with a bleaching agent the next day and was assured that it would take about 45 min. Issue #3: I came back the next day & was there not 45 min, but 1.5 hrs! Near the end, she told me she had applied dye to the other parts of my hair and she hoped that was "ok". As she rinsed my hair of the dye, she neglected to put a towel around my neck and water kept running down my neck, towards my shirt, and over my ears. I kept brushing off the water form my face, and returned my hand back under my smock, and had accidentally transferred dye from my fingertips to my slacks! Issue #4: Once I got home, I noticed the stain on my brand new pair of slacks, & I noticed in the full daylight that my hair looked streaked with orange & black (the other dye she chose was actually darker than my hair color). It gave me a spiky, "red-ruffed lemur" look. Issue #5: I changed my stained clothes and rushed to a birthday party where I was informed by the hostess that I had something black on my face. I noticed there was dye all along my forehead line and ears leading to my scalp. It had been dry for sometime, so I could not remove it with soap and water. I had to leave the party and remove the dye with essential oils at home. I have tried to speak with multiple people regarding this horrific experience and all Ive gotten is a $25 gift certificate that cant buy me anything worthy at the salon. Not only was my time taken from me by returning to the salon a second time, but I was humiliated at a party and had to get my hair fixed at another salon, not to mention buying another pair of slacks-all totally more than $150 on "damages". Do NOT go to this salon if you want quality, understanding, competent service!!!

Seriously the worst mani/pedi I have ever received. I have been getting my nails done every other week for the last 10 years so I have had my share of good and bad. This was by far the WORST ever. The nail tech actually looked afraid of the nail file. She barely touched my toenail...needless to say, they are way longer than they should be. She didnt soften cuticles at all and just used a metal cuticle pusher to push them. Not only was it painful, but then she didnt even cut or clean them up at all. The polish job was awful as well. Such a waste of money. I should have known when the nail tech said they were the step child location! No kidding. And whats worse, I emailed over a week ago and no response at all!

Gigi Aveda is awesome! I dont understand the negative comments! Not only are they great stylists and estheticians, but theyre polite, caring, attentive, and fun. Amaree, my stylist, is amazing. Shes works wonders with my hair - shes cut it pixie short (cute!) and helped me grow it out without losing a style. And shes a great colorist, always taking time to listen and collaborate. The frontdesk ladies welcome everyone with a smile. Ive been a fan of Aveda salons for years, and was so lucky to have found Gigi!
