While they are very friendly in the shop, I have had multiple experiences that make me unable to trust anything they tell me. They are absolute salesmen. First of all, if they even look at your car for a minute, without touching, they will charge you. I took my car in because there was clearly something wrong with my left front tire area. I told them what I thought it was, the bearing. They talked me into a full inspection of the front of the car and because I am not a mechanic, I thought that would be safe. $80 later, they tell me it is in fact my left front bearing that is the sole issue. They could have simply checked that first but knew they could get more money out of me by recommending a detailed inspection. Then they told me a price of over $1000 and when I asked why so much, they proceeded to tell me I also needed new brakes, and a new battery (with their warranty) because mine was getting "low". After that, I left thinking it all over. The next morning, my car wouldnt start. Coincidence? My neighbor, a retired mechanic, took a look at my battery and found that the connection had been put back very loosely, and that otherwise my battery was perfectly fine and had no need to be replaced in the near future. I decided after that questionable event to get a second look at the other problems Firestone had pointed out. Turns out my brakes were still better than inspection standards and could last for at least several months longer. And the quote for my bearing was higher at Firestone than 2 other shops I checked. I understand telling someone all the future needs/fixes coming up, but they made me feel like all were needed that day, when really I had one problem that I even KNEW. They seem to look for every possibly opportunity to oversell you, and that is not a mechanic that has your best interest in mind.

The guy handling the customers was just a mere pair of polyester pants away from being the reincarnation of Herb Tarlek. The guy just oozed sleaze, such that if he told me that my head was on fire and I smelled smoke, I still wouldnt believe him. Fortunately, in this case, looks aint deceiving because hes out to rape you. He tried to charge me close to $500 for a rim that I could get from the OEM for half of that price. I passed, so he tried to sell a simple steel wheel for double what the OEM wanted. I agreed just to get out the door and called back and told him to shove it. I was almost thankful, because had he not been such a scumbag, I might have just agreed out of convenience. Of course, I will be going back to force them to honor the warranty on the tire for no $$$, but Ill be providing the rim and saving myself $250-$300.

Ive been going here for about a year for oil changes. Theyve usually been pretty good a little pricey which is fine if Im not being scammed or lied too. But the last two times were questionable one they forgot my oil change sticker which wasnt a big deal, but I went in this week got another oil change they put the sticker on without filling anything out. They then proceed to tell me my battery amperage is low. I smile and say good thing its under warranty cause its basically a new car. Call into my dealership go in there my dealership tells me my battery is fine. So I think either they were trying to scam me or the tech was clueless and lazy. Im going to lean towards more clueless and lazy.. Maybe wanted more hours I dont know. Wont be returning though more than likely.

New years day. Called at noon and was told not to go now because they were too busy, to come back 2:30/3pm. Got here 2:30pm with a nail on the tire. Got diagnosed within 15 minutes of arriving and ended up replacing the tire all within the hour. Replacement was not uncalled for since the nail was within an inch of an existing plug (thats our luck!). At no point we felt cheated or that they tried to upsell anything, actually I even asked if replacing a pair was recommended and Brian said there was enough thread that it was not needed. Got the new tire rotated to the back free as well. Really cant recommend enough, would definitely have them as our to go if we lived in the area.

I would give them no stars if I could. These men are nothing but scam artist. I took my leaking tire to them to see if they could fix it since it was still driveable, but just needed air more frequently. They told me it was not repairable and that my only option was to buy a new tire for $120. I didnt expect to spend that much so I passed. I took it to Walmart expecting to buy a new tire and the 20 some year old technician told me that there was just a small nail in it and that they could patch it for $10! (The nail was about a half inch in length). If you want to be lied to and scammed, then this is the perfect shop for you.

I took my car in to this Firestone (first time I was there, not my husband) to get an emissions inspection. I admit to being horribly distracted trying to keep my special needs son from harassing the other customers and didnt notice until Id left that they charged me FIFTY DOLLARS for the emissions test and sticker. Had I been paying attention I wouldve pointed out how ridiculous that was, since Ive lived in PA a few years now, and Ive payed less than that elsewhere for BOTH inspections required by York County. We will not be going back. Goodyear is right around the corner.

Im new to using this shop for tire replacements only, 2 sets on 2 cars in 3 days, but I have, so far, been pleased with the customer service and the price of the tires and out the door pricing is fair. They will work with you a little bit on labor price; I too wasnt happy with the price charged for state inspection and they threw me a bone with a 20$ labor discount. I probably wouldnt do major service items here on my imports, but Id rather go here than Monroe or Hanover Lube and Screw.

If you are a new, young driver, watch out for these guys. My son needed his car inspected and the Firestone crew told him it was not passable unless he got over $1000 worth of repairs. We chose instead to go elsewhere and yes, necessary repairs were made, but at $300. Thanks for trying rip off my son...thought active military special forces personnel should be taken care of, not taken advantage of. Two giant thumbs down Firestone.

Just started going here recently because I needed someplace convenient that has late day and weekend hours. I have stopped in several times without an appointment and they have been able to get me in. The wait time is usually very reasonable. Only took a half hour to get a battery put in last evening. I am very pleased with their service.
