First time I went in was fall of 14 with exhaust problem, they told me they fixed it and was ready to pick up but they never drove the car after the "fix" so when I picked it up and noise was still there, I had to go back, reschedule, drop off my car again because turns out there was another problem other than the one they said they fixed. Just checking the work would have saved me another day of hassle. My second experience was much worse, happend summer of 15. There was a noise around the tire and my hvac heater inside the vehicle stopped working. Dropped the car off and I told them "I highly suspect my blower motor blew out because of the clinking and banging noise it was making right before it quit altogether." They checked it out and told me it was the HVAC control module (the 1 part that wasnt covered under my warranty) and itd be $350 for new 1 installed or $250 for used 1 installed. I appreciate them giving me a cheaper option but I went to a junk yard about 15 mins away and got the HVAC control module for $10. After the 5 min installation (literally popped 1 piece of trim out and 2 screws to install) I tried it and it didnt fix the problem. So I took it back out, put the original back in, and went and got the blower motor (the part I suspected all along and warranty would have covered) out of the same junkyard for another $10 put it in my car and it worked fine after I saw that I was missing a fuse under the hood for the HVAC system that I knew was there before I dropped car off to them or it wouldnt have ever worked in the first place. My old blower motor had obvious wear around the fan. So I ended up running all around spending money (but no where near what they were going to charge) trying different parts that the warranty would have covered in the first place but didnt because Hanover L&B misdiagnosed the issue. I understand mistakes happen, but Im very suspicious of the fuse that was taken out and not replaced for HVAC system that was necessary for it to work. Whether or not it was blown it should have been replaced instead of just taking it out and leaving it. I wonder if the issue was that simple to begin with. I cant say this for sure, but Im betting that if I had payed them to replace the part that wasnt bad in the first place, I highly doubt they would have said, oh our bad, heres your money back because we misdiagnosed the problem and replaced a part that didnt need to be. Oh, and the noise around the tire they said was due to a loose heat shield, they put screws in that fell out a day later, seriously a day later. So after I took it to a different garage it turns out that it was the wheel bearing going bad all along. I just wouldnt bring any vehicle to Hanover L&B for any reason. Im no mechanic, but luckily I knew just enough to keep from handing over a bunch of money to this business for no reason. 1 last thing, this is just my opinion...I seriously question the legitimacy of these other customer reviews. I dont know how some of these customers who have fuzzy or no pics in their caption, know all the employees by name and then feel the need to mention them in their reviews, and have had perfect experiences for years and years when literally every person Ive talked to about L&B said they wouldnt ever go back. Again this is my speculation and not 100% of them are false but it makes me go hhhmmmmm......

Absolutely awesome! I called Hanover Lube & Brake Center 1 day before my vehicle inspection ran out, hoping that somehow, I could get in the next day. I explained my situation and was given an appointment for the next morning. I arrived to smiling faces and my vehicle was taken in immediately. While I waited for the inspection to be completed, I sat in the lobby and talked to Tammy and Connie, Dean and Sean while they worked. I laughed and talked and felt like I was part of the office family. My vehicle was taken care of quickly and I got honest information about services my vehicle will need in the future instead of the run around that big chain shops throw your way, trying to get you to replace everything immediately, even if it isnt necessary. I appreciated their honesty on this visit as well as several other times over the years when Ive taken other vehicles in to them. Ive always gotten great customer service, fair pricing and guaranteed work done on my vehicles. This was the first time I sat and waited while my car was being inspected or fixed. I had so much fun this morning, Im going to stay with the vehicle from now on whenever I have service there! (sorry guys, youre stuck with me now). As a former customer service manager for a major airline, I have great expectations when it comes to how Im treated as a customer. Thank you all at Hanover Lube & Brake Center for exceeding my expectations! Now that Im living in this area again, I can guarantee youll have mine and my familys business for life!

I had issues with them on my first visit. But all has been fixed and I had both the manager and owner apologize and resolve the situation. I like what theyve done and how they fixed the first issues we had. Since then everything has been great and I have returned to the shop and plan to for further work as well. Thanks again to Tammy Pfaff for correcting the situation. *UPDATE* 12/21/16 Just went back to them again and had a even better experience than before. I not only went back because of my previous experience but also because I know they do great work. I spent a very large chunk of money just now fixing my 1999 Audi A4 (transmission and many other parts) and I would never think twice about it or who Ill go to again and again. Professionals and great staff. Thank you everyone. Tammy and Dan especially for the work they did and help they gave me.

Hi! I am a single mom barely getting by. We live paycheck to paycheck and I was so worried about my old car and it needing additional work. I went in for an inspection and waited while my car was worked on. First, I have to say that I have never met a business with such friendly and amazing people! I actually enjoyed my wait time! Seriously felt like everyone there were personal friends. Second, when I found out the list of things wrong with my car, they were willing to search for the least expensive parts and were willing to help me out. I cant even tell the world how much this meant and helped me in my situation. I referred my gf recently because of previous great experiences I had while Dean over saw the daily operations....I will surely NEVER do that again...She brought in her Corolla and over the entire 3 week period when they had the vehicle for 2 out of the 3 weeks in total...their mechanics could not diagnose the severity of the problem after spending $1600.00 ....she in return purchased a New Corrolla...Thank you for absolutely nothing HL&B....I will never recommend anyone to visit your establishment again and I will personally make a greater effort to not promote your business to anyone...Also might I mention it was no out of pocket expense or loss to myself other than a poor recommendation to a good person...
