Ive lived in many places around the country and have literally never had so much trouble with damaged mail. Apparently this location condones indiscriminate, intentional heavy creasing of all mail by their carriers regardless of importance, priority, or do not bend markings. This isnt the typical slight bend or fold; this is creasing so heavy, it appears to have been done with a machine. Their lack of concern for the mails condition is appalling and theyve done little about it despite numerous complaints. Ive also had small parcels that should be delivered to the door, jammed into my mailbox so violently, Ive needed tools to get them out. Corners have been crushed or torn completely off. Cards, magazines, calendars, large envelopes of any kind, even paperback books protected by cardboard, have all been brutally creased without concern for its contents. There is no excuse for this type of intentional damage other than sheer indifference by disgruntled employees that Ive seen nowhere else to this extent. Whats happening here should be a criminal offense. Meanwhile, the counter staff are some of the friendliest Ive come across, so where the disconnect is, I do not know...

I have lived in Hummelstown PA for the last 20 years and I can honestly report that the people at the counter at the Hummelstown PO are the friendliest and most accomodating US Postal employees I have ever encountered. Super friendly people behind the desk and just as friendly delivery guys. :) They go out of their way to put my mail in convenient spots. I would easily recommend this brick-and-mortar branch for shipping put packages. :)

Called to ask a simple question about a package and the woman on the other end of the phone was extremely rude. I was treated dumb, my question wasnt answered, and then the woman proceeded to hang up on me.
