This shop makes up problems that dont exist when business is slow. They also charge 95 dollars per hour. Not a single mechanic that works at this place is ASE certified. (At least when I visited about 3 months ago.) The owner might be certified but is never to be found. Anyone reading this can plainly see all the 5 star reviews are from people who were dumb enough to have the wool pulled over their eyes. Its easy to see when there are only 1 star reviews or 5 star reviews. Nothing in between. The people who take their cars here were either dumb enough to let the manager screw them or they realized what was going on and got the hell out of there. This place is like most corporate-branded shops . It is a complete and utter disgrace how badly the owner and manager rip people off and then shift responsibility onto the corporate office if the customer complains about it. In fact, many people are so dumb they actually believe this shop gave them a deal after charging them thousands of dollars for simple jobs. Id love to see someone go in there with a hidden camera in order to expose what goes on behind closed doors. Its all the old auto-mechanic dishonest tricks. The owner uses his "veteran" status to persuade naive people into trusting him. This man should be ashamed of himself for tarnishing the integrity of veterans . Also, the manager Brett Epstein is a known con artist and criminal who has lied to many people directly to their faces (including myself). One of my friends went there for a simple tire install and they ended up charging him $750 dollars for replacing lower ball joints. A job that should cost between 2 and 5 hundred dollars tops. 1 year later his ball joints failed due to them not being properly seated and not tightening his upper control arms when reinstalling. Im told the con artist Epstein even went so far to point out "play" in the suspension that wasnt there. Upon inspection of the old ball joints by a reputable mechanic they were found to be completely fine. My experience here was even worse. I was skeptical after I heard what happened but I work close by and my options were limited due to my work schedule. I figured Id be willing to pay a little extra and make sure they did the job right. They ended up ruining other parts in the process of inspecting my truck. Which they failed because they told me my catalytic converter was faulty. This turned out to be a complete lie. When a formal complaint was made to the Meineke office they said they would investigate. In the end, the only thing that happened is I was given the option of bringing my truck back there to get it re-worked on (at my expense of course). No way in hell I would go back and let these idiots mess up my vehicle even further and charge me hundreds on top of what was already a ridiculous amount for a failed inspection. i was quoted over $1,500 to make it pass inspection. I went across the street to the Jones dealership and it only cost me $300 to fix EVERYTHING and inspect. No way in hell a privately run shop with non-certified mechanics should charge more per hour than a dealership. Never again will I take my truck here. For the love of God save yourself the trouble and go to a reputable mechanic instead of these shysters. I believe in karma and this type of business practice will only hurt them in the end. Not before they rip-off many easily duped or desperate people however.

I went there for an inspection, and the manager tried so hard to get me to buy all these extra services. I explained that I only wanted done whatever was required to pass, and had to state more than once that I do not want extra services. After a while, he finally did what I asked. Aside from it being rather expensive for the work that I got done, the worst part is that he charged me for services that I did not have done. When I brought this to his attention, he said that hed have a check written out to me to refund these services that were not provided. After a month of waiting, I had not received a check or even a call providing a status on when Id receive the check. I had to call in and I could tell that he forget all about it and never submitted the request for me. I asked that he do so, and yet again had to wait more than a week before I had to call in asking for an update. I received multiple excuses and what seemed like lies as to what was taking so long. Even now, I still have not received my money back. Ive called multiple times a week and have even had to go in to the store. Many times, the manager isnt there and apparently nobody else can do anything about this. Ive had to call another store and speak with someone who said hed handle it, and even this other person did nothing. Also, when I picked up my car after they finally did the necessary work, my breaks gave out while driving, luckily I was in a parking lot. The only good thing that Brett did for me was cover the towing to take it back there. He claims that it had nothing to do with any of the work they did, but it seems rather peculiar. I let that go only wanting my refund and to not have to go back. This has been a terrible experience and I want nothing to do with Meineke once I get the money back that I am owed. I only went there because they had a special for inspections, but I ended up paying way more than what I expected to save. Never again.

Failed my inspection for broken motor mount. Claimed the motor mount was split in half. I took my car home and ordered a new mount. When I pulled out my motor mount it was completely in tact not even worn. I figured they probably accidentally told me the wrong mount so I checked all the other ones and they were all fine. When I went back to confront them about the issue they assured me that it was broken. The "mechanic" that worked on my car came over and began talking to me as if I were 3 explaining every step he took to check it. He told me he put my car in drive and tapped the gas and the brake and the motor "almost jumped out of the car" I found this explanation very interesting considering my car is a stick shift therefore there is no drive and a clutch would be needed to do this. When I told him that he got mad at me and started yelling at me about how I dont know what Im doing. They then threatened to call the POLICE on me for harassing them. At this point another customer walked in the door and they all began to act very professional again. No one was yelling no one was talking to me as if I were five. The service I received was unacceptable and just flat out insulting. I will never return to meineke again because the service I received was so unacceptable. I did not know that a business could be run this way. Update - I passed inspection today with not a single problem at Firestone on lititz Pike. Didnt change a thing. Thank you to Firestone for being an honest shop unlike the scam of a shop this place is. I would also like to add that the corporate office of meineke only told me to contact the owner of this shop directly but they couldnt give me any contact info. Thank you for being the worst excuse of a business I have ever waisted my money on.
