I went in here a few times despite the reviews as it is convenient for me. They did okay the first several times and they even followed up to confirm something about the work that was done. But the last time I took the car in here for a new tire and alignment, they called me to inform me that I needed a new left inner tie rod. The tech even tried the scare tactic that this is dangerous and would not pass inspection if it were up. I do my own work most of the time and Id recently just done a new suspension all around and replaced the outer tie rods as they were shot. The inner tie rods checked out then and Id felt nothing in the ride to suspect a bad inner tie rod, although I knew I had a bad intermediate steering shaft that I hadnt yet gotten around to replacing. So I declined on the alignment and tie rod as they wanted $180 for just the inner tie rod to do something that would have taken me an hour and Id prefer to do both anyways. Well, I ordered the parts and rented the inner tie rod removal set from a local parts store only to discover that my left inner tie rod was rock solid and steady freddy. I knew right then and there that theyd tried to sell me a bill of goods. Either that or the mechanic had confused a faulty intermediate steering shaft (chattering) for a bad inner tie rod. Im not sure which would be worse: lying or gross incompetence. I took my car to the competitor immediately up the boulevard from them and they did the alignment and confirmed that the inner tie rods were in perfect shape. I wont be back. I advise others to avoid this place.

I brought my Ford F-150 to this fire stone for state inspection because I had a coupon for free oil change. This is first time getting it inspected somewhere other than dealer where I bought my truck. I was told by service adviser(Tom) that my truck needed a lower ball joint on drivers side and suggested changing passenger side as well because it was within a millimeter of failing also. In addition to that he advised me that I had three frozen lug nuts on rear tire. He gave me estate for nearly $1200, and said that there is a chance that they may break my control arms in front while trying to remove lower ball joints at an additional cost of $275 each side. That was the first I had ever heard of such a thing and told them to do nothing and paid what I owed for emission test and failed inspection. Two days later took my truck to ford dealer and paid $0 because they had free state inspection! My truck needed zero repairs done to it and Firestone was going to try and charge me between $1200-$1750. This shop is as crooked as the night is long. DO NOT THROW YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN AT THIS LESS THAN HONEST ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!

I took my vehicle here for an inspection because the month was nealry over and I didnt think I had time to take it to my mechanic in the South Hills who is terrific. I dropped my car off and a few hours later received a phone call saying it was going to cost me $1,400 to get my car street legal to pass inspection. There was a laundry list of items things from rotors, break pads, tie rods right and left, a frozen caliper, and windshield wipers (which I had just replaced the month before). I asked if I were to let you change my windshield wiper how much would you charge me? They responded "anywhere from $28-$40". Are you kidding me!? Auto Zone does this for free with a purchase of wipers. I knew when I took the car in that it was running fine and that I had no problems with it! I took it to my mechanic in the South Hills and guess what the car was fine! Firestone almost scammed me out of $1,400 worth of unecessary work. I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau next...I am out $60 for the cost of the inspection, but better than $1,400. I will never cheat on my reliable friends in the South Hills again.

I went into the shop after I noticed my tire was looking low. One of the mechanics came out and looked at my tire for a glance and proceeded to tell me I needed to purchase two new tires with a quote of over $500.00. I then had him speak to my father, due to the fact that he had purchased my tires before. When the employee spoke to my father he said there is no way he can help me unless he special orders 2 tires. My father informed the employee what brand, make, and where he could purchase my current tire. After the employee hung up with my father he then started telling me, my father did not know what he was talking about. I apologized for my father being rude and the employee stated "He thinks I am screwing you over." I took my car to a local shop where they found my tire is fine and they only needed to remount my tire and put more air into it. It was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I am very disappointed that they do try and take advantage instead of taking the time to look for other options. I would not recommended Firestone Complete Auto Care Store.

Utterly abysmal service in every way imaginable. I am more knowledgeable about my vehicle than they are, from simple things like knowing where my vehicle ground wire connects, to the more complicated issues like whether its a ball joint or a hub assembly that has gone bad. In addition, they share the incorrect information in a pretty demeaning manner, talking down to clients (especially women, from the conversations Ive overheard). The most important problems I have, though, are that they complete work incorrectly (I had my alignment done & the vehicle now is pulling very hard to the left), they are slow to get the job done, and they overcharge dramatically. I asked for a quote to replace four bushings in my front control arms. Its a 2-4 hour job at most, and the parts are literally $50 total - and they quoted $900. Even at the most conservative estimate ($75/hour x 4 hours = $300 + 50% markup on parts or $75 = $375), they are charging nearly triple what that job should be worth. Do not waste your time by going to this shop. There are plenty of reputable places to get work done.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Took our car in to have a belt changed and replace a leaking hose. In the process of changing the belt they broke the radiator and tried to scam my wife out of $800 to replace it. After complaing, they fixed the radiator, they still did not fix the leaky hose, eventhought they charged us for it. When inquired they said they did not get the part. Waited 3 more days they still did not have the part. I went to the local kia dealer and bought the part. Went to pick up the car, the hose still leaked, and the new part was not on there. They insisted it was I asked to see the old hose they could not produce it, I then was told they only used part of the hose assembly. In the end they finally replace the entire hose assembly and then charged me for the hose I provided. A week later the check engine light came on and took our car to a reputable shop. They found that the technician at Firestone had left his trash from lunch in our air filter, an order of fries and a half eaten whopper from burger king. Beware do not use this repair center.
