Where do I start?? The employees working here are complete buffoons. I wont even get into my experience setting up my account and giving them business, instead Ill pick up right where they fell apart. The reason I got a storage unit is because I left the Country for an indefinite amount of time. A few things I repeated to the employees over and over again were the following: 1) Is my auto pay set up? 2) Will you reach out to me via email if something goes wrong? You will not be able to reach me via phone. 3) Did you apply my credit for using U-Haul? 4) Am I good to go? Keep in mind, I drilled this to these guys because dealing with them was extremely difficult. They all seem to be completely freaking clueless!!! So here I am, one month later, outside of the country, receiving an email letting me know that my payment is overdue. Thank God I put my sister as a secondary on my account. She called to see what the issue is, and responded back to let me know, not only did they neglect to set up my auto pay, but they also didnt apply the credit, which covered my the cost of the month. Excuse my language, but what the FU** are they doing in there??? I thought several times about putting this review together because I understand that mistakes happen, but in this instance, when I was very very keen on the details, I cant help but think that this place is missed managed and in need of a wake up call. So this is a warning to anybody who would like to use extra space storage as a platform to store their belongings. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEYRE DOING! I am hoping they read the reviews (unlikely) and reach out to me so I can get this problem taken care of.

Could be better.. I had a last min emergency where I needed storage. This location was the cheapest of their competition and I can probably see why. The neighborhood is horrible but thats not there fault. However, this is probably why they dont offer 24 hour access. Their drive up access is the worst. It seems that it was setup for 50ft tractor trailer trucks so you will have to lift things up to the docks (4-5ft off the ground). It would be nice if they setup the dock for your standard uhaul trucks, and something ground level if you happen to be unloading a car. They also hassle you about unloading your vehicle first and getting your vehicle out the dock as they only have room for one vehicle at time. The other dock is occupied by their OWN vehicle. Its annoying but whatever. The facility is kinda crapped out and looks like its been around since company was established, but you get what you pay for. The staff is very slow and their carts are like 50 years old. I find it a little scary that you could potentially break in through the top of the storage bays since the ceilings are probably at 12-14ft in height while the actual storage bays are only 8ft and they are covered on top by just a fence.

I have just moved out of my storage after Being there for almost 2 years. After completing my undergraduate studies I needed to store stuff that I had naturally accumulated over the course of 4 years. When I moved in I paid just over 23 dollars monthly and that was a really good price for a small space compared to other quotes I had received. It was a little scary when I first moved in but as they say never judge a book by its cover. I have honestly never had a problem with this place. I also never checked on my stuff either lol. Moving out today my stuff is just as I left it when I moved in 2 years ago. I had my card on file and I never had a problem with payments it was due the end of every month and they sent me a email. If I move back to Philadelphia I will definitely use this space. Thanks to Jesse and Ms Vanessa for making the move out process easy and fast. (Note prices do increase over time but people that should be expected what has ever stayed the same price forever)

The prices are very reasonable, and the process was easy--from reservation to move-in. The storage areas are a little dated as are the loading carts. However, it is a decent facility. My issue is with the loading dock rules. You are required to unload the entire truck or vehicle prior to taking your belongings to your storage space. This means that one party monopolizes all of the available carts (which are few to begin with)--angering other patrons in the process. Meanwhile, the unlucky party is left to face these patrons while management sits in the office. First, the rule should be posted for all to see. Second, either more carts should be supplied, or a new policy should be designed to efficiently manage load-in/out times without impeding the majority of the facilitys customers. I had a full, 15-foot truck and felt awful that everyone had to wait on me and my friend. The policy should be modified, at least, for moving trucks.

Back in 2013-2014 I rented storage space here, and it was the worse experience in my life. Yeah staff is friendly, but I had to rid all my belongings because everything had a combination of roaches and other unidentifiable insects. Half the stuff I just left there because I was so upset. I couldnt believe the horror as I was getting ready to move my belongings out and all these insects started emerging from all directions. I get that other people belongings are there and often they store things that will attract insects, but this was unacceptable. There was no help from staff other than a broom and dust pan.I went to a nearby store to buy bug spray and I replaced everything with my own money of course because they offer no reimbursements. I recommend that you do not use the facility or if you do use at your own risk.

The location is great. The price is awesome. Its an older place. But its for storage. My only complaint is the customer service guy there lied about the size of the unit I got. There is a 2 ft column in the space making it approximately 5 x 8 and not 5 x 10. Plus he didnt give me all the amenities for new service. The manager sorted things out and offer me to move to another unit. That was nice but I just moved all those items and was not in the state of mind to move it again. She was much pleasant to work with after the fact and get things clear. And she made an adjustment for the new customer amenities. That made everything go well. My recommendation if that customers that get a unit with the columns are offered a discounted price. 2 FT is a valuable amount of space. Other than this I would give them 5 stars.

Extra Space is perfect for those on a budget. I was a student leaving my apt for the summer and figured id look for a storage place. It was my first storage experience and I think it went fairly well. The only thing is the loading zone, its really impractical but for $20 a month, its reasonable. The storage compartment itself has lots of height, which I wasnt expecting. I reserved my space online a few days before, got there the morning of my reservation, and saw the space. I then asked for a different space because the one I saw had a pole in it. The man kindly showed me to another space on the 3rd floor which was what I was looking for. I then moved in and paid. The whole thing took maybe 2 hours. Too easy. Overall, id recommend, they have exactly what a storage unit should have.
