I dont usually write reviews but for those guys i had to! I honestly wouldnt recommend any other place even if it was much cheaper. I used them for both renting a storage unit + returning a Uhaul truck to them. From the moment i stepped foot to see their facility their staff mainly Sandy and Fran treated me like i was family. Their storage rooms are great and the day i was supposed to return the truck and sign the lease for the storage unit Sandy waited for me to arrive from Columbus Ohio and stayed an hour after their office hours so we can finish things. She even told me over the phone that if i arrive after they close that she will come the next day to help me out even though it was a Sunday. I totally recommend them for all their services and great staff!

Fantastic experience at the Compass Self Storage Fifth Avenue (251) facility and received great customer service by Tammy. Fast, friendly, and a very professional atmosphere are what you walk into which anyone would love. Tammys professionalism shows in all she does to help you with your rental options and needs. I found the prices to be very reasonable and the facility to be very clean and well kept. It is very convenient to get to and in a good area. I will and would definitely recommend Compass Self Storage, as well as this facility in particular, to anyone. Thank you so much Tammy for your time, help, and wonderful spirit!

Compass Self Storage is fabulous. Ive rented a Uhaul from them twice, and very nearly a storage space (but then I found an apartment.) Ashley, the manager, is always very friendly and polite. Ive also gotten to meet Peggy and Bill, who are also very fun to chat with while waiting for your Uhaul to come back. I once had a problem with a Uhaul going over a pothole and then making a HUGE high pitched banging noise. When I brought it back, I told them of the issue, and Ashley took it out on the roads to make sure it was okay. If I ever need a Uhaul ever again, Ill be getting it from here. I know I can trust these guys.

They got over on me with a U-haul rental and they charge for 84 miles when I only went to Moon Twp. and back to Pittsburgh which is only 16 miles each way and told them that so they charged me originally $60.38 then I looked on my bank statement as it showed that they charged me an additional $109.83 for additional charges and mileage. My question is why didnt they charge me when I brought the truck that day. I going through it right now with U-haul to reverse the charges, so make sure you take a pic of the mileage before and after so you dont get cheated out of your hard earned money.

I was in contact with compass self storage by phone numerous times reserving a storage unit, spoke w Ashley, Peg and Bill and they were so helpful. They were patient and polite, never rushed me through my conversation. Their costumer service skills were outstanding. Ive never experienced such polite people. I highly recommend using compass self storage if you are in the Pittsburgh in the area of the University.

I rented a UHaul truck from Compass Self Storage to move my belongings far out of town and the process was so easy. The move went perfectly. Ashley Winston, the general manager with whom I worked, is very professional, responded to all my needs and concerns, and made me feel comfortable driving such a large vehicle the 220 mile distance. I would not hesitate to use Compass Self Storage again.

This is the best self storage facility in Pittsburgh. The workers are very kind, friendly, and professional. It is very easy to load your items from your storage units to your truck with the great loading docks. The facility is well lite, clean and well kept. Staff was very helpful! The facility could have been a bit cleaner. It was difficult moving furniture to the second floor of the climate control area, which is all the way in the back of the building. Overall, it was satisfactory and met my expectations for a storage facility.
