Had a hitch installed by UHaul on Washington Blvd because that is close to work, cost $250 plus, pretty expensive (twice PepBoys off shelf price) but I figured it would work and save any hastles. (Heck, its UHaul, a company to trust?)... Was to be a 2 inch ball. Got a trailer with boat located in South Hills, but the ball didnt fit in the 2" trailer hole. So ran back to this Rt. 51 store to get a slightly smaller ball, cost just under $10.. Well, the 1 7/8" ball didnt fit either. The ball from the hitch this fit is 2" but a different brand/model. So tried to return the smaller ball after it didnt fit but they wouldnt take it back because it was slightly scratched from trying. Wow, I spend over $250 and the guys wont return a ten buck ball they recommended??? Granted the Wash Blvd store should have verified it worked but still, one outlet should support the other. Assistant manager argued with me for around five minutes and wouldnt budge coz he couldnt resell a scratched ball.. Do yourself a favor, find some other place.. They dont know customer service. Would rather sell propane to make a profit.

This was a bad situation that turned into a good one. Long story short, I reserved a 6x12 box trailer for pickup Friday night. I got to the location to pick it up, and they said the trailer that was supposed to be mine was returned earlier in the day with blown out tires. I was initially irritated, but I understand that uncontrollable things happen, because I am a manager in the automotive repair business. Jerry and his team checked other locations and there were no 6x12 trailers available due to the weekends high demand. They offered a smaller 5x8 trailer at a discounted rate as the only option due to the unforeseen circumstances. My family and I did what we had to do to make that work. Thanks to Jerry, Jackie, and the lot attendants (sorry cant remember their names) for doing everything in their power to take care of the situation. I have used this uhaul location in the past many times and will continue to do so.

I rented a u-haul on 04/09/2016 and I ran an ez-pass and received a violation. I was ready to pay it until I noticed that u-haul re-debited my card on 6-11-16 with out authorization $68.20 the amount of the violation, that is fine because you would assume they paid the bill. I recently 8-31-16 received a collection notice for the violation. I checked my credit card account again so that I could explain the above and U-haul has been debiting my credit card every month on the 11th for 68.20! I have tried to call them several times and am currently on a 30 minute hold with them again and still no resolution. I have to contact the bank to get rid of these charges which isnt an issue however I would like to know where and why they used my credit card funds. I assume some manager has enjoyed several steak dinners on my expense good job u-haul you are thieves.

Had an appointment for 8am to get a hitch installed.. got there and they said there was nobody available to do it so to come back at 4:30. Come back at 4:30... they said it would take 2hr MAX. 3 hours later, the hitch is poorly installed with the wiring hanging down touching the road, and all of the electric in the car is messed up. Go back the next day to get it fixed, told it will take 20 mins MAX... it takes an hour and 20 minutes... they tell me theyre putting the ball mechanism in the trunk as its illegal to drive with it on.. get home to find that the ball mechanism ISNT IN THE TRUNK..

Very poor service. Had them install a 7 point trailer plug on my truck. They did the job but it didnt work when I tried to hook it up. Clearly they did not test it. They gave me an excuse that the fuses were blown but I talked to one of the guys working on the truck and he said that one of the guys wired it wrong. Also the fuses looked like the originals. I will not go back to u-haul ever again. I was warned about them but went there anyway. My mistake.

Worst experience with uhaul. Generally do business with uhaul but this location is by far the worst when it comes to customer satisfaction. The guy shawn threw his hat on the counter because I asked him why I was charged for fuel. Which by the way they dont check before you take the truck. Penski is down the road and also offers military discounts for those who served which this uhaul location does not.

WARNING - CALL BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE A HITCH INSTALL! I ordered a hitch and wiring installation 3 weeks in advance online. They scheduled my appointment and everything seems fine. Then I show up and Im told they dont install wiring on my vehicle type per the owners policy. Unbelievable that they couldnt call and tell me that, especially since I was able to prepay the wiring labor fees!!

Always have everything you need, you dont even need to make a reservation. Staff is quick and effective. They dont waste time coddling problem customers. If you like to complain about being charged for things or think everything should be free, or if you screw up because you dont like to pay attention then dont go here. They wont put up with your BS.

I called to inquire about a 5X8 trailer The guy told me no problem we have them to rent, asked if i should reserve. he said no i dont see that being an issue. When i got there, they said they didnt have any and the lady had no idea why the guy would say that. This is the THIRD time this BS has happened here. Stay awat
