When asked to fill out a survey, here is what we wrote. No one from the company followed up or reached out to us: Our move was schedule for a 9AM start. The movers called us at 9:15AM to let us know that they were running 20 minutes behind from another job that morning and would be at the apartment as soon as they could be. The two movers finally showed up to the apartment at 10:30AM, and we were surprised to see how small the truck was. The two began working, and made sure to take their time doing so. We were quoted 4 to 6 hours and the two movers that showed up told us they were quoted the job would take two hours. Its no wonder they were late, seeing as whoever schedules your movers seems to be somewhat incompetent. We explained that we were moving from a fully furnished 1 bedroom, third floor walk up to another third floor walk up. Who in their right mind thinks that will take two hours with two people? The loading of the truck alone took close to 4 hours because each time items were taken down, the truck had to be rearranged to make things fit. It took the drivers more than an hour to get from our first apartment in Park Circle across the Cooper River to Clements Ferry, a 14 minute drive, which consisted of a stop for lunch and gas (for which Im close to certain we were charged for). By the time the move was done, many of our furniture pieces had been bumped and scraped causing damage. When we finally went to settle the bill, the team moving us attempted to charge us the truck hold fee we had paid weeks ago on top of the outrageous hourly charges we wound up incurring because of how slow they worked. We watched as small boxes were brought up and then nothing came through the door for another 10 to 15 minutes, which prompted us to try and jump in to assist with moving boxes to encourage them to work harder, which did not work. After they left, we found that every wall mounted lamp in the stair wells had been turned or moved to allow for the moving of boxes and furniture, and your movers could not be bothered to put them back how they found them. We used College Hunks once before to unload a packed track up three flights of stairs, the two gentleman we had at the time were incredibly fast, professional, and finished it in under the two hours minimum. They were the reason we wanted to use this service again, but would never consider using your service again based on this move. I would hope that to make things right, College Hunks would consider refunding a portion of what we were charged considering your own team quoted us 4 to 6 hours and then sent your movers ill equipped for a job that clearly required more than what these two movers you sent had to offer.

Im in love with the HUNKS!! After weeks of debating on who to get or what to get to haul off a lot of junk from our home that was accumulating and making us feel like a junkyard, we happened to pass one of the trucks on the way into Charleston one morning. So we gave them a call at about 11am, they set us up with an appointment saying the guys would come between noon & 2pm to look it over and give us a personal quote. By 12:15p, two of the NICEST guys came by (sorry, I already forgot your names), looked it over, gave us a quote & I jumped on it!! By 1pm, they were done, paid and gone... OMG, just like I told them, you dont know how much better I feel about my home now! We will definitely be using them again. Well worth the money to get rid of my old refridgerator. At 60, I am too old and injured to be hauling heavy appliances about by myself, so I called some younger men. The appointment was swiftly made and they guys came to the house the next day. They were clean and polite and showed up ahead of time to assess the job. The job required a different hand truck and they had to return to the shop to get it. They were back very quickly and went right to work. The guys pulled the refridgerater out of a tight fit and carefully managed it throught the kitchen and hall and out the door. They were careful of the various hanging lamps and trim and got the job done swiftly. I recommend the Hunks when you need extra hands for hauling. Thanks, Hunks!

I want to thank you all so much. We had incredible service. Huge shout out to Cage (my friend noted the names, so Im hoping thats correct? It sounded like Keith on my voicemail), Gary, and Harrison. They made my move stress free and fun. They were all incredible to work with. It was August 19, and the heat was out of control. Not only did they not complain, they did it with such a positive attitude, and really made me feel so grateful for making the choice to go with your service for this move. They also had to move me into an apt. on the 3rd floor. Yuck! Thank you SO much guys! Youre the best!!

Although this writing reflects my wifes name, it was I Ed, her husband, that has hired the College Hunks twice now. There are some things that require more than one set of hands and this service has been successfully used twice. In both cases they were able to accommodate me within twenty-four hours, they were neat and on time. There were no nicks or damage to any of my furniture or doorways and the price was right. Im grateful that this service was available and wish them continued success in this type of business because it will be used again in the future. I recommend them.

We were concerned about the construction debris in our yard because Hurricane Matthew was 24 hours away. I also did not know how to measure the amount. They contacted me immediately after I filled out my online request. The very next morning they were at my home to give me an estimate and were prepared to do the work if I agreed to the price. The price was as posted so I did not feel taken advantage of, however, if the storm had not been imminent I would have done some comparison price shopping The young men were awesome and speedy and very thorough.

Evan and Nathan did an amazing job with all my belongings. This was a surprise from my in-laws, and they were quick and efficient. Very mindful of the hardwood floors, as in not to move anything around without picking it up first to save from scratches. Everything was placed neatly and far enough away from walls to deter any damages to the walls or paint. Evan and Nathan both were very friendly and courteous, and wonderfully professional. I highly reccomend this service for anyone in the Charleston, SC area looking to move or unload packed belongings.
