I recently had the "Brazilian Blowout" done at Indulge Salon. All I can say is that it is a "miracle" service! For those of you who know me, you would agree that my once gorgeous wavy locks had become very frizzy, dry and unmanageable. Although, I am a Hair Stylist myself, my hair had me at a loss. I thought I had tried everything to tame, condition and restore brilliance back into my hair. I was also, very skeptical about this smoothing treatment, as I had heard all the pros/cons of the service. I, like many thought it may be potentially damaging to the hair, and contain elements that were not safe. However, after thorough research, and becoming certified to perform this service myself, I felt confident and comfortable to give it a try. When this service is performed by qualified, trained professionals who really know and care about what they are doing, the process is safe, and customized to the clients style preference. The results are truly "Amazing"!!! I love my hair again...it is soft, shiny, and smooth. I no longer have to struggle with the flat iron anymore. And, the greatest benefit...I can add curl, and lift to my hair if I want it. But, I have to admit...all I do is wash, condition, and quickly blow dry my hair, and GO! Its that simple, and for me...that has never been possible before. Thanks Brazilian Blowout and Indulge!

The owner is a terror to deal with. She wants to run a high budget salon with a rude and disrespectful mentality. She quoted me a hair cut at $45 and then the day of charged me $75 and when I confronted her that she had told me $45 I got nothing but attitude. That same day my appointment that had been scheduled two weeks in advance got "lost" in the system and I ended up waiting over two hours for a trim that took 10 minutes. Its a shame that she doesnt know how to treat high budget clients. I also purchased extensions through this salon (about $800 worth) and Kim failed to mention that upkeep on them would run me upwards of $100 month in addition to the color services I already got done every 4-6 weeks. She lost my business forever and I will continue to spread the word about how terrible of a business owner she is. Its a shame that she has a few talented stylists that work there because she is the sole reason I refuse to support this business. Even more unfortunate is how she scolded another stylist in front of me while i was having a service done as well as took a meeting with someone while I was in her chair. Completely unprofessional and unnacpetable. I could go on with more reasons not to waste time and money here but I will simply say, spend your money on a more reputable salon where the owner isnt a complete jerk.

First I was not told which salon I was to go to....so I went to the salon I called to make my appointment (george st) to find out my appointment was made on east market. when I made my appointment i specified I had very VERY curly, thick hair and shared my concern because many people do not know how to deal with my type of hair and I have gone natural for about a year. When I made my appointment I was told not to worry that my stylist would give me a call the day of my appointment. I spoke with the stylist and again described the type of hair I have and again was told not to worry and to come in. Well here I was in the chair and after consulting with another stylist was told they could not do the brazilian treatment (which I already knew) and that all they could do is a relaxer. I told them I do not mind because I have had relaxers before and they went on telling me that I should call and ask for another stylist. Pretty much going here was a waste of my time and gas. If the stylist are unable to deal with multi-ethnic hair then they should not carry relaxers. I did not mention name of staff because they were very nice....just clearly not trained in dealing with natural curly hair. I do not understand how a salon that carries relaxers is unable to do them and pretty much tells me they can not help me.

I did not find Kimberlys to be the end-all experience that the other reviews indicate. First, let me say that the reception staff is very pleasant and the shampoo girls are awesome. But I went to this salon for several color & cut services trying different stylists and never got what I asked for. The stylists did what *they* wanted which was trendy when Id asked for subtle/conservative. I asked for subtle carmel highlights and got huge 3" wide brassy red stripes. I brought a picture in for a haircut I wanted. The stylist was cutting and cutting. I kept telling her that what she was doing didnt look like the picture and she kept saying "trust me, Im not done yet". Well when she was done, my hair looked nothing like the picture - it was horrible, way too short and the right and left sides were noticeably uneven. When I said something to her, she just shrugged and said "gee I guess you were right". Kimberly did offer to recut my hair, but at that point I had lost all faith. I now go to a private stylist whose salon is in her home. For $50 I get an excellent cut and color EVERY time and I get what I want, not what the stylist wants.

First of all, Kimberlys was a great place to go, maybe 15 years ago. Lately, however, she seems to have an inexperienced staff and a very high turnover. her salon is now dated and tired. I was in, on a Saturday, and I was one of only two clients in the salon (and this was the larger of her two salons). The coloring services I had done were done poorly and the person who performed these services was no at all a people person. The worst part of my visit, however, was when I noticed a former employee of my regular salon, who had been fired due to theft, so I pulled Kim aside to make her aware, telling her to simply be careful, as Id hate to see the same thing happen to her. When I returned home, I received a call from the employee who had been fired from the other salon, basically giving me a piece of his mind. I was stunned by this, as Kim obviously gave this person my phone number and allowed him to call me. It was incredibly unprofessional and I will never return to any of her salons. Its a shame, because this used to be a great salon, with excellent stylists.

The staff are extremely friendly and appear knowledgeable and capable and the salons are very nice. However, me and a friend went the salon on different days, saw different stylists and went to separate locations (Indulge East and Indulge South) and both walked out with the same bad, 80s cut that was nothing like our pictures. I even had my stylist correct my "thick" bangs with texturzing shears because she didnt like the thickness, even though I loved my bangs as they were and only wanted a trim. I am not sure of their coloring capability (i am positive they are pros), but as far as going by pictures, they seem to go by what THEY like and I ended up with butchered hair and had to go somewhere else to get it corrected.
