DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered a hitch for my 2012 Kia Soul and made an appointment to have it installed. I was given a 4pm appointment and told it would take 30 minutes. We arrived at 4pm and did not get assisted by a service person until nearly 4:30. The service person did not finish until nearly 6:30 At some point during that time I entered the service bay to see what was going on and he said to me: "I was supposed to take the back wheels off but I was too lazy so I removed the mud flaps and Im trying to put them back on." When we got home I inspected the mud flaps and found them attached to the car with odd screws and rip-ties. He had broken the plastic nubs off so that it could not be re-affixed as they had been. I then embarked on an odyssey of trying to get someone to address a customer service complaint. I spoke to their Phoenix office operators names: Loreli, Christina, Andrea, Gary, Melissa I was treated in a number of various was, all poorly: twice transferred elsewhere without being told before hand or why and with not resolution resulting, contacted by the store that held my complaint in contention and bottom line said talk to our insurance agent, told to speak to their legal department then told by another agent there is no legal department, told I was speaking to the regional corporate office then told there is no regional corporate office. This was a nightmare experience. DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to update this posting with news of the final resolution info. I got my refund today on my credit card for a generous amount of my purchase and instillation charge as well as a thoughtful gift certificate for a future UHaul rental. This will reimburse me for the damage done to my car. I want to impress upon anyone reading this just how much I appreciate Thomas Snells professionalism, integrity, kindness and customer service. In todays world we seem to have lost the art of customer service. A take-it-or-leave-it attitude is normally what you get. Today my faith has not been restored in UHaul, my hope has been restored in humanity. We arent done for yet, as long as there are folks like Tomas Snell around. He deserves to be promoted to EVP of Customer Service for the entire UHaul organization. But, unfortunately, based on my negative experience before finding Mr Snell, Id say that disrespect for customers and poor customer service is institutionalized and part of UHaul culture. Mr. Snell is an exception. Please pass all this info on to Rep Westin. Im sure they might want to know.

DO NOT HAVE A HITCH INSTALLED WITH THEM I got a hitch installed for a Honda civic on New Year’s Day at this location. Everything seemed to work well with the hitch until last week, I went cycling for the first time this season and it was the FIRST TIME using the hitch. I noticed there was a funny sound, but I thought it was just the wind making this sound. I was able to use the hitch only for 10-15 minutes because I had to stop in the middle of the highway. The hitch dropped like 30-45 degrees causing one of the tires to touch the pavement, the tire and rim got ruined. I went to UHAUL and asked for a manager, I told the guy what happened and the so called “MANAGER” blamed me, that it was my fault because I didn’t read the instructions on how to use a bike rack… and that the bikes were too heavy for the rack (I didn’t have the bikes with me). He asked for the warranty paper, but I didn’t have it with me, so he said that he couldn’t help me that I had to call the insurance to get a copy. He ended up fixing the hitch after all, but didn’t recognize that it was their fault, that whoever installed it the first time didn’t do a proper installation. There were nuts and washers missing. For the record: the bikes are full carbon fiber they do not weight more than 19lb. 0 STARS!!

HORRIBLE experiences! In store and by calling in to the customer service phone number! They are awful and I will be happily removing everything from my unit and going to Storage USA who charges far LESS and doesnt have an ignorant, prick of a manager (Liam). Liam gave me, as a customer, AND a corporate customer service rep an attitude and was super rude.. yet he remains the MANAGER of this location. Imagine how his employees act. I would rather throw my belongs away than deal with these people. Shout out to Susan who may be the only person there who isnt an idiot.

Absolutely terrible experience. Find ANY OTHER PLACE to store your belongings. They scam the customer and find every way they can to charge bogus fees. They file extra miscellaneous charges on your credit card months after the rental. BEWARE. Employees are rude and incompetent and when I asked to speak with a supervisor, I got redirected to a spam number by their call center and then placed on different holds for >45minutes . So much aggravation and stress for something that should have been simple. AVOID THIS PLACE.

I was late picking up my truck, I reserved for 9am and arrived around 9:30. I admit my bad. My reservation was until 3pm. The manager was assisting me with the checkout. When I asked him if I could switch to a 4pm drop off he started giving me a real attitude. Granted I was late picking up, but all you have to say is " sorry sir, the trucks are all booked" I would have thought the manager of the place would offer more personable service.

I own a local production company and often times, we have to rent a U-Haul van or truck for our video shoots. I have been working with Corey and his team for a little over a year now, and they have always been incredibly accommodating. They always make sure Im getting the best value and that Im treated well. I would go out of my way to rent from this location (in fact, I have in the past). Highly recommended!

General Manager Chris Perry at the Newell st Pawtucket location is rude, irresponsible, deviant, spiteful, and should be fired immediately. How he has kept his job this long with an attitude like his, I will never understand. Whoever hired him as GM should take a look at themselves and alter their decision making process. Hes absolutely unacceptable.

Easily the largest, best stocked, and most professionally staffed U-HAUL in Rhode Island. Even with a line to the door at 9 am on the first of the month, the wait was only 10 minutes and the customer behind me got a truck without having had to reserve one (but you should probably still reserve one).

Booked the truck a month ago, got a call telling me that instead of having it for a day, I can only get it for 6 hours!! Or I lose my reservation!! Worst costumer service, VERY UNFRIENDLY staff, took me 37 minutes to return the truck. U-Haul is the worst company on so many different aspects.

Do NOT RENT A STOREAGE UNIT from here, they have roaches that get into your belongings and you bring them home. They take no responsibility for it so now I have to spend $300 to have an exterminator to come to my house.
