Great price meets great service. Owned by a guy whos worked on Nascar engines, these guys are thorough, careful and know their stuff - rebuilt my Subaru Impreza boxer engine after driving around on a really bad lifter for a year, caused by a misfire in one cylinder from a bad spark plug wire installation. After a hiccup getting it back, I took the Impreza to FAIRWAY SUBARU for a second opinion. FRAUDWAY tried to sell me $1,500-$2,000 in engine work, none of which even solved the problem or was necessary at all (3rd time unFAIRWAY did this to me, unsuccessfully 2 of 3 times). While the Impreza was at FRAUDway Subaru, Auto Performance of Easley had already determined what the problem was - a rare incompatibility between aftermarket thermostats and rebuilt engines. The solution - a $38, OEM part. Needless to say, I will N-E-V-E-R step foot at Fairway Subaru ever again. Twice now they would not just say "we dont know" and give me the car back. A third time it was $600 in suspension when the problem was a $34 sway bar. It took me another $600 in suspension work to even find that out. No, with FRAUDWAY its hundreds or thousands of dollars in extra stuff that doesnt even solve the problem. I wrote up another review on FRAUDWAY Subaru about those previous experiences FYI. And it isnt just Fraudway that does this, word on the street is its routine for dealers to look for excuses to do unnecessary work. Also, the Impreza hasnt run this good since 2009. Wow. I will never be going to any other shops as long as these guys are around.

I rated Auto Performance on surecritic, but I felt compelled to do so on google as well when I saw that someone had given him a 1*. Rick, the owner and operator of Auto Performance repair and custom tries to be as transparent as he can possibly be, he is one of the few people who separate parts and labor on an invoice, if you do not trust him he wont show you some broken part out of a box, he will take you to your car and show you where the problems are and let you know why you must fix it. He will not make a sales pitch trying to scare you into a fix, he will offer rational reasoning. Auto Performance tries to quote accurately and stand behind it. Google reviews are great as they act as a litmus test of a shops trustworthiness before you get your vehicle serviced but it is not an end all be all meter to the character of a shop because if it was, a one star would not exist on here. If you feel your parents (or yourself, or your girlfriend...etc) got unfairly taken, I ask you to go to the shop. Rick will not provide you with fake charm to change your opinion, he will not intimidate you, he will provide honest answers to honest questions. Needing to get your car repaired isnt a 5* experience, it is stressful, it is expensive, and it isnt always done correctly the first time. So the top characteristics people should look for is someone with 5* experience and 5* integrity. Look no further than this shop, if you doubt me.....just go in and meet the man behind the counter before you call bologne.

My wife and I had just moved from out-of-state and arrived into town Saturday afternoon. We hit a bad pothole on I-85 and had front suspension damage. We stopped at Auto Performance because they were the only shop we could find that was open. Even though the staff was ready to close up, one of the mechanics and the manager, Rick, offered to stay late and try to get the parts and repair my work truck so I could have it to start my new job Monday morning. They probably dont want me to make it sound like they do this every weekend, but I wanted to tell the world that these guys worked late night Saturday and part of Sunday even though they were closed, in order to get me to work Monday. They saved my ass! And the total bill was Still hundreds less than it would have been somewhere else, and it was done right! I recommend these guys to anyone!

I brought my car to Auto Performance based on Google reviews. I had a bad experience at a local dealership and was looking for a shop that would tell it to me straight, do good work and charge an honest price. Auto Performance checks all three boxes. I needed a routine checkup and Rick, the manager, took the time to talk me through their diagnostic process. He showed me on the computer what they checked for and when I did need something serviced, he gave me various options would thorough explanations on detail and pricing. You can tell they take great pride in their work and genuinely enjoy what they do—at no point did I feel upsold or in the weeds or like I was a nuisance. The repairs were wonderful and now I have a shop I can trust, which is no small thing. Highly recommended.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. My parents took their car to be worked on to this shop and I will not go into details, but it was a complete disaster! And this guy even had the audacity to tell my mother that he did her a favor! My parents asked me to not write this review on their behalf, because them being the good christian people that they are knew God would deal with this man. As for myself, I just can not stomach thinking that people like my parents, good people, will take their car to this place and trust this man...DONT!!!

From the first phone call the service was great my husband and I was looking for someone to take our new car too. We so found it with auto performance. We will also stay with them with all our cars. Great service, polite, very helpful in explaining what they are going to do to with my car down to details. I loved that. I highly recommend Rick and his employees. Ive known Rick for a few years, and know him to be a fine Christian businessman. This was my first trip to his new automotive shop, and now I also appreciate him and his team for outstanding car care. When I walked into the entrance, I was immediately struck by how spotlessly clean the welcoming/waiting area is kept. No grease here! And after all the repairs were completed, I could immediately feel new pep and smoothness in the drive. Thank you, Auto Performance crew, for giving me excellent service for a very reasonable price!

One of the only places i take my car! Everyone here knows exactly what they are doing, they will work with you on prices and they make sure to let you know exactly whats going on and the options you have to fixing the problem. They actually take the time to get to know their customers! Overall this place gives awesome service and the friendly and caring staff make it that much better! Definitely the best place in Easley by far!

Auto Performance has great customer service. They were quick in getting prices on parts and were able to locate a wide variety of what I needed. The mechanics and service center is also excellent regarding customer service, price, and fixing the problem the first time. The hours of operation are also customer centered. Overall, a really helpful shop with nice people.
