This was the worst experience EVER. I called this store at 1:45pm about getting my headlight changed. I had my own bulbs and I asked the woman on the phone if this was ok. She placed me on hold and told me that was fine and that she could make me an appt for 5pm (eventhough they close at 6). I had been to this place before and gotten my headlight replaced so you would think that the make and model of my car would be in the system since she asked for my name and if I had been there. One would think they would already know how long this would take since I called 3 hours before the appt and my information was already in the computer. I get there at 4:55pm to drop my car off and no one said a word about anything. The young lady just told me they would call me when it was done. John the owner calls me at 5:13 to tell me that it takes an hour to change my headlight and he didnt have time to do it. Im a little confused bc if they wouldve started on my car at 5 (like the appt was for) then it wouldve been enough time. John tries to say that I waited to call him back and he couldnt do the work without given me a price. Ummmmm why didnt anyone think to do that while I was there and also why did it take 15 mins to get in contact with me. I proceed to tell John that I dont have a headlight and what am I supposed to do when I get pulled over. He says to tell them I have an appt to get it changed and I probably wont get a ticket. Yea right like that will ever happen. I even told John that I had my car there in enough time to change it since it only takes an hour and since he wanted 15 mins to call me he should be able to stay open 15 mins to get it done. NOPE John didnt care that i dont have a headlight or that I called and made an appt. This is the worst place EVER and John is very inconsiderate and tried to blame me for calling back late (Im at work by the way) vs taking responsibility and staying open 15mins to complete the job.

THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! WORST MECHANICS EVER! THEIR COMPLETELY CLUELESS! I made an appointment at the midas on N. Pleasantburg for a simple oil change about a month ago. I arrived on time but still had to wait for about an hour before they even pulled my car into the bay. I chose the package option to also have my breaks checked and tires rotated. I informed the tech i just purchased the car about a 2 weeks ago. The tech told me my breaks and roters were good but my drivers side rear wheel was locked and didnt turn freely while my car was on the jack. So they didnt rotate my rear tires because of the wheel being locked but asked if i wanted to schedule another appointment to have the locked tire looked at. They didnt even take my wheels off. And i know this because less than a month later my drivers rear break started grinding metal on metal. By this point i could literally feel the grooves in my roter with my finger. Took my car to a different brake shop and this other break shop told and showed me i had broken and missing hardware and the pads needed replacing on both my front breaks and my drivers side rear caliper was seized up & the caliper only had one bolt in it and the break pads were bare metal. The other break shop said my car was unsafe to drive in its current condition. And midas said my breaks were good and had they even REALLY checked my breaks or even so much as taken my tires off to rotate them cause thats what i paid for, they might of found all my break and roter problems. Ended up needing 4 new roters, breaks all around, new hardware and a new caliper. Ended up spending over $600. Thats a lot of money, but not to be able to stop and drive safely. Im never goin to midas again. My car was unsafe to drive and they had no idea! What a bunch of schmucks!

I took my 2006 Prius in for an oil change, tire rotation, and the heat/air not working to another repair place that is supposed to be "highly reviewed". We paid to have the heat problem diagnosed. It came back that it needed an evaporator box and the part alone was $3,000 not including labor. We took it to Midas on N. Pleasantburg Dr. for a second opinion. We spoke to the manager telling him what we were told by the other repair place. He wanted to do a diagnostic test to recheck it. What they found was the evaporator box was fine and the blower motor was bad. They fixed it in one day and everything is working great. So instead of over $3,000 for the repair, it cost me $265.13. They also saved me a bunch on a catalytic converter several years ago on the same car ($750 vs. $2200 at the dealership). Are they perfect always? No, but neither are the high-dollar places.

I cant say enough good about the folks at Midas Auto Service. Id been shopping around for a repair, and Johns quote was the best (not just the cheapest -- it WAS the least expensive, but the cheapest quote isnt always best). A few seconds on the phone told me he knew what he was talking about, and that he was set up to handle my repair right. Sometimes you really get to know a business when something goes wrong. Something did -- they received a defective part by no fault of theirs, and they worked to diagnose and correct the problem while handling it around my schedule and arranging transportation back and forth to work. They even threw in an unrelated small repair gratis. Everyone I dealt with -- John, Blythe, Brandon -- were professional, capable, and very friendly.

I was very happy with my visit to midas. I went in for an oil change and a brake inspection. The service was provided with out a long wait...i had an appointment. They completed the oil change and gave me an inspection form that had a few notes about my car. They informed me that i had a brake light out and that i might need a power steering flush sometime in the near future. I was then told that i didnt need brakes, i had some life still left on them. I am very happy with the fact that as a women i can go there and they dont try to sell my a bunch of things i dont need. I feel like i can trust the owner John who has been there for 44 years and i will be bring my car to him when i do need brakes. Over all i am very pleased.

My experience with Midas was excellent. I took my car in for brake pads and shoes. They do a complimentary full inspection and made me aware of all of the issues of my car, most I knew about already but some I did not. They were very friendly, informative, didnt speak down to me or try to convince me to get additional services that I couldnt afford or require. Icing on the cake: when I took my car in the next morning for the service they even gave me a ride to work!!! That was so appreciated and unexpected. I would recommend this mechanic. The owner John is very nice and we even had a discussion about books and recommended some reading to each other!
