II purchased a Vostro 200 Dell computer on 4/8/08 from this store. I had just bought an e-machine from Walmart and entered the store to compare my savings. I was convinced by a knowledgeable associate there (Joey) that a Dell would be a better choice. I bought the cpu and the 1 yr extended warranty plan. Less than a week later I discovered the brand new Dell I purchased had a failing hard drive. I was skiddish and wanted my money back. The thing is there policy is "no refunds". I was adamant and the sales representative called his mgr. and advised me that BBS would take the cpu back with 15% restock fee. Ok. I was willing to give them the 90 dollars because I felt the machine was not new and I did not want it. (even though BBS repaired it.) I paid for a new CPU not one that was rebuilt.. which is what I suspected. There were several inconsistencies as well with the package advertised in the store for the cpu and what was found on the machines control panel. The advertisement stated I had the option of receiving Windows XP or Vista. Joey insisted that XP was the only OS avail. I later called and spoke with another rep that confirmed that I had a choice of OS. I was also quoted the price for my machine that I purchased for 499 as 445. It sounded like price gouging to me. He also advised that the total RAM that I shouldve rrecd was 2GB. I only recd 1GB. I called to tell him on Friday 18th. I would be coming to the store to return the system. I arrived there to hear the story that none of the mgrs. remembered telling the previous rep that assisted me that I would be entitled a refund. Finally I was offered the option of leaving the cpu at the store and waiting on Monday for a refund. WHAT??? I never heard of such a thing. I promptly informed the rep that the frustration over one cpu was too much. I use the system for on-line classes and could not be w/o a machine until Mon. *************BUYER BEWARE***********************Best Buy is across the parking lot. The return policies are less complicated and you dont have to wait on management approval for it either. The staff is courteous and professional but they have to rely on mgmt. that instructs them to behave in a manner counterproductive to the virility of this small business. (right across from Best Buy) Consumers in this economy we need to ensure our dollar goes greater distances. BBS was a waste of money and energy.

I dropped off my laptop here to merely have the backshell replaced. A few days later I was notified that my touchscreen digitzer had been damaged in the process. The technician told me that the digitzer would be replaced in goodwill and I would not be charged. What ensued next has been nothing but a headache. Upon arriving to pick the laptop up, I noticed that the screen was different. It was no longer as vibrant and clear. It had the color-shifting aspects of a TN LCD monitor. I dropped the laptop off with an IPS LCD monitor which has more vibrant colors and does not color-shift. I brought this up and the technician then revealed to me that the LCD was changed too. He advised me that the manager would contact me to resolve this error. It has now been over 2 weeks with no phone conversation with the manager. When I asked to speak directly to him, the technicians would say that they only have messaging and e-mail access to him. When I asked for the source of the screen, I was told that it was confidential. tl;dr I dropped off my laptop for a simply outer shell change that wouldve cost me $30 total. Now Im in an over $400 mess because BBS computers replaced my expensive LCD with a lower quality LCD. The manager did not respond to my inquiries as to why the panel is different. This is an extremely shady company if things go wrong.

I stood in line at Best Buys Geek Squad for almost an hour. Only to have a geek tell me he had to charge me the full price for Windows because I dont have the disc that came with my Dell. I got frustrated. On the way out of the store I saw this company accross the parrking lot. They were a Dell partner and had the software available for all diffrent Dell computers. Before they started on my computer they ran a diagnsotic test. After they finisihed it up they called me. The problem was that there was a virus infectionon my computer. I think they called it malware. They were able to clean my computer up and get windows working again. The funny thing is that they didnt even have to reinstall windows. So all that time I spent at Best Buy and the needing disks was a total waste of time but I am glad I discovered BBS Computers. I have already recommend my brother inlaw to take his computer in. I think he was the one that I got the virus infection from in the first place. He sent me an email for a video to watch and after I tried to install some kind of video player my computer quit working. He said he never sent me the email. So at least now our fmaily is virus free.

My laptop hard drive failed and I needed a replacement that day. I decided to go in BBS Computers on my way to Best Buy. They had a drive for my laptop. Fine. I had to sign some form that would not allow for me to return the drive, but the clerk assured me I could bring the drive back if it was the wrong kind. OK that was a big, fat lie. I returned to the store an hour later because it was the wrong drive. The clerk acted like he had never seen me before. He had to consult with the higher powers to see about exchanging the drive I just bought an hour ago, with the receipt in hand. No dice. They offered, out of the kindness of their hearts, to exchange the 320 gig drive I bought for a 120 gig of the type I needed. What a wash! I should have gone to the big chain store after all. Terrible.

Very convenient location, right next to Best Buy!! I was leaving Best Buy disappointed with the sales person I encountered when I saw this computer place. Took my laptop there with a broke screen and they repalced it and it cost less than the Best Buy. For starters they wanted less than 1/2 of Best Buy price to check it out. Thanks BBS
