I am a single mom and a nurse who just moved to the area to be closer to my mom who is elderly and in need of care. Last week I brought my car , a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid to Masons in Surfside upon the recommendation of my mom who attends the same church as Mr Mason. She said " They will take care of you". That being said I went into Masons with my mom in tow and approached W (only going to use 1st initials) behind the customer service counter. He gave no greeting, no hello or how are you..... he only asked what I needed done. I explained to him that my oil icon was on and I would need oil change (synthetic) I also explained that the low air icon for my tires/tire was coming on intermittently for about the last week and a half causing me to continuously have to stop and put air in tire. I asked him to please prioritize the low tire situation because the next day I was traveling to Atlanta with children and worried about a blowout/accident. W said "Well if you dont know which tire it is thats gone be hard for us to because we have to take them all off and put them in water and it takes a lot of time" he mentioned other reasons that he may not be able to find the leak. I told him to do what was necessary. He seemed extremely bothered and put out. When I returned R was at the counter said W told him they did everything to find tire leak and could not find any problems and that it was ok to drive. He said "If you do have any issues come back and well take care of it" . Halfway to Atlanta another motorist waved me over shortly after icon came on again due to dangerously flat tire. I spent the entire weekend putting air in tire and worrying about an accident. When I returned to Masons I showed them the low tire so there could be no more excuses and they reported that the tire had a nail in it and had the nerve to charge me 22.00 dollars. I asked why this was not found and repaired prior to my going out of town and W said "well you probably got it on the way to Atlanta". They NEVER checked my tires at all the first time!!! Dont care about the 22.00 and I guess they did not care about the lives that could have been lost... ... I will tell anyone that will listen to never go to Mason Tires. They will lie to you . My mom is embarassed for recommending this place. Oh and "W" please stay out of customer service arena you have a terrible personality and a rude demeanor

I have taken my vehicle there 3 times, each time I have had to leave it there for several hours, and each time they came back telling me I needed something besides what I asked for. This last time I took it in as usual the phones and their agenda was more important than me walking in the door to bring them business. I had a samll leak in my tire which needed repair. It was fixable. 5 hours later when I returned they still had my car in the rack the tire was not finished they put a bigger hole in the tire than when it I brought it there and refused to repair it. Did not tell me that the hole was bigger I left the lot with a flat and took it where I normally go for less expensive better brand of tires. From the service, lack of professionalism, and poor attitudes this staff exemplifies, I will surely tell all I know to never bring their vehicles to this business for any kind of work. I also want to reach out to all veterans and let you know I am a Marine Infantry Veteran, and please honor our brotherhood by banning this business. If I could give negative stars I would!!!! P.S. Not only did you piss off a Marine, I just gradauted in March with a legal degree and am quite certain there are civil ordinances that protect consumers from business practices like yours!!!!

I am writing this review as an addendum to a review I wrote a month ago pertaining to a safety issue and a poor service encounter that I experienced at Masons Tires in Surfside Beach. That being said very shortly after I posted my last review the Mason Family reached out to me with great concern. They told me "Our business depends on our reputation". They wanted my side of what happened and most importantly were very honest about what happened on their end that day. They asked that I please give them another chance. I did just that and took my car to their location in Pawleys Island today. Gene Humes their store manager was a professional in every sense of the word. He explained the issues in regards to my car and called in a prompt manner to explain pricing and what needed to be done. I noticed while waiting to pay that he was professional and courteous to all he came in contact with. My car is working great and the issue is resolved. Mr Masons daughter Kathy said "Mrs. Sanchez my word is my promise". Thank you Masons Tires for making me feel that you really cared . I will be back.

I took my SUV in to check my tires because the light came on that I had low tire pressure. Well they checked the tire in question and added 37lbs. Of air in my left front tire, Randy said the mechanic checked all the tires and put 37 lbs of air in the tires. I had to go back a couple of days later because the light was on again. Come to find out the 1st mechanic did not check all the tires to make sure I had the correct tire pressure like Randy said. The 22nd mechanic knew to check the door panel for the correct tire pressure, which is 30lbs. I was riding on one tire that had 37 lbs of air and the other 3 had 24lbs of air. After the 2nd visit I now have the correct air pressure in all my tires. Will I go back again, NO because if they couldnt do a simple job of checking all my tires for the correct air pressure, why would I want them to change my oil or do any other major work on my SUV.

Took my wifes car in for a simple oil change. Came home and later that day Most of the oil leaked out of the car. I took it back that day and the head mechanic said it was a new brand of filter. I knew that was bs. When we took the car to Volkswagen to get the service performed on it and the told us what really happened. Masons broke off a piece that helps seal the filter to the block. Come to find out its a very expensive part. So long story short we ended up buying a new car because of it. My warning to you is dont take you car to masons in surfside beach. These people have no idea what they are doing and the head mechanic thinks people are stupid. I would rather take my care to the dealership and pay more to have it done right than to take it to this place and have it done wrong every time.

TERRIBLE!!!!! Took truck in for one part just to get me home to the auto shop that I own. Little did you know I am not a stupid female!!!! You tried to convince me that I needed both front brakes, rotors, calibers, hoses, and lines. Also tried to tell me my back brakes were bad and wanted to charge me 900.00. SHAME ON YOU! HALLS AUTO down the street blows your prices, service, and honesty out of the water. Fyi...Northern females are not morons....wish I could say the same for you! 170.00 later (with oil change) I am north bound to my shop where the work will be done right (and my mechanic that has worked there for 25 years and told you that your were crazy), will do the rest of the work for free! God bless mom and pop shops!!!
