""" WARNING """ """ PLEASE SHARE """ I had work done on my Audi a few times from Tri State Auto Service. They did an oil change last August- I had it towed there in September. The owner Scott Hanna told me it needed a ignition coil. He also told me he went ahead and changed all 4 out-he said if one goes out they all go out. He also changed 4 spark plugs. Labor $118.00, Parts 124.02, Tax $23.60=Total $265.62. I have been having the same issue with my car for over 2 months now. I took it there after a friend was trying to check the fluids and noticed a hose was leaking from the radiator. I talked to the owner Scott Hanna, told him about how my car has been running. I also told him I didnt want to fix the hose if I was having some sort of transmission problems. He told me he had to fix the hose problem before he could take my car for a ride - he said, "I do not test drive cars that have leaks". Later I called him and asked him how much the hose was going to be. He could not tell me. I again told him I needed to find out what was wrong, I didnt want to pay for a hose if I had major transmission problems going on. He got rude with me and said, "I told you, I dont test drive cars with leaks". After having my car for three days. I told him I was coming to pick it up. He made me buy the hose-$134.00. I took my car to another mechanic. They fixed the hose and checked the fluids. Unfortunately, they didnt bother test driving it. I never did find out what was wrong with it. A friend told me to take it down the road to Tri State Imports and Domestic. I went there yesterday. The mechanic took it for a drive. He told me my issue felt like the Ignition Coils needed replaced. I showed him the invoice from Tri-State Auto Service. He told me to take it back there, they should still be under warranty. I went there, went in the office. I spoke to the owner Scott Hanna. I told him my car was having the same issues from when I had it there for a tune-up in September. He asked for my keys to test drive it. I told him I would go with him. He said "no"for get it!! He told me he could not test drive it with me in it. I asked him why. He said, "I cant concentrate if your with me". I followed him outside. He told me I was on his "black list". He told me I was F____ing impatient. That I couldnt wait for him to install that hose. And it took him 3 hours of his time to find me that hose. I asked him if he always talked to customers like this. He said only the ones on his black list. He told me I could leave my car there. I asked him why would I leave my car with someone who could treat a customer like this. He told me to get off his property and never to come back! I then when back to Tri State Imports and Domestic. I made an appointment for them to fix my car. The mechanic opened the hood and noticed there had only been 1 Ignition Coil replaced. So Mr Scott Hanna, Owner of Tri State Auto Service. You stole from me!!!

Weve used Tri-State twice now and both times have been a great experience. The guys seem honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Both times.the car needed additional work and they called and explained what it needed and after discussing it with others we found their assessments to be right on. Price is fair and turn around is fairly quick. The second time we had a busted hose and it was afternoon, we thought wed have to wait until the next day but he gave us an estimate of an hour...and it turned out to be more like 40 minutes. We will definitely be using them again.

Scott at Tri-State Auto is very friendly possibly the most friendly mechanic I have ever met. They will do anything to accommodate you to get your vehicle checked out and fixed as soon as possible.
