I was visiting in the area when my Priuss warning lights all came on at once as I was driving. The dealership wanted to charge us $5300 to replace the hybrid battery along with other stuff--more than the car is worth. After getting it back home, it developed a new symptom, where it wouldnt accelerate after the engine got hot. A transmission shop said the transmission would probably need to be replaced, to the tune of $4700. I found Grassland Car Care on Google, and decided to see if they could give me a better diagnosis, since they have experience specifically with hybrids, which the transmission shop did not. I took it into Grassland the next weekday, and they got me diagnosed quickly, and said that it didnt look like Id need a new transmission, but just a new battery. While I found a battery cheaper somewhere else, I did have them help out with the rest of the repairs the car needed. They were fair and helpful during the whole process and didnt try to force me into repairs I didnt want or need. After getting the battery replaced, I havent had any issues with the car, even driving it on a 1000+ mile trip to get back home. The transmission shop was just wrong. Grassland Car Cares diagnosis saved me from buying a new car I didnt need. If I ever have any issues while Im in this area again, Im going here first. They also followed-up recently to see whether I was still having any issues with the car, which was appreciated. Great service and very nice people! Thank you so much!

If you need a good specialty Prius mechanic at an affordable price, this is the place to go. Last summer the hybrid battery in my 2006 Prius was on the fritz and I was desperate to avoid the local dealers because of how notoriously expensive and difficult they are. Thank goodness I found this place! They saved me thousands off what the dealer quoted, and gave me a 3 year unlimited mile warranty on the battery. This weekend (now in March), the same warning lights came on and I took it down to Grassland Car Care Center, and after diagnosing it they found that one of the many cells in the battery was reading a little low on power. Nevertheless, rather than just try the easy fix of replacing one cell, they contacted the battery manufacturer and got me a brand new one and installed it for free. I should also mention that they have an excellent courtesy car system, where if your vehicle needs repairs that cant be done quickly, they will freely offer you a loaner vehicle to help you get around town. All you have to do is pay for gas. Ive never found another car place to be so generous and honest with me. If only I lived closer to them I would definitely be coming in for more routine maintenance (although I am quite happy with my much closer current mechanics).

I could not be more pleased with GCC. They are simply the best. They do it right every time, and if they miss something its corrected without question. You can expect superior quaility work, fair prices with no surprises, robust warranties, and great customer-focused attitude. GCC has gone the extra mile with me time and again, especially with my 76 Pacer and the numerous issues it presents. In fact, two other Nashville "specialty" shops have failed to correctly diagnose problems with this car, contributing to an avoidable interstate breakdown on one occasion. GCC has yet to be stumped or steer me wrong. If thats not enough, at the time of this writing theyre getting ready to take it to emissions FOR me for the second time, so determined are they to get it my ole gem to pass. I wish they were open Saturdays is my only complaint. But their fleet of loaner cars more than makes up for this as Im never without a vehicle if I need it while mine is being repaired. Give GCC a shot. They WILL take great care of you and your vehicle.

I went to get an oil change and also needed some other work done to my car. They gave me the quote on the additional work and also told me I needed even more work on top of that...in actuality, though, I knew that additional work was not needed at the time (red flag #1)! Secondly, the price on the work that *was* imminent seemed very high, so I called a competitor and their quote: exactly 1/2 the price(!), saving me HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS. Look, based on all the other reviews I read, Im sure they do great work, but theyre not looking out for your pocketbook as much as they should. They will tell you that you need to stick exactly to the book on everything that needs done when you and I know that as long as things are looking and working fine, some replacements can be put off until its actually time to replace that part. Additionally, they seem to be a bit high on price. Im sure its great quality, but you can get great quality and save money elsewhere.

A short time ago, I got a nail in my front tire; I live in Brentwood, so I was not close to home, was coming down with bronchitis, and had an appointment with my vet in Nolensville for one of my greyhounds. It was truly "one of those days". I pulled into Grassland Auto Repair and explained my situation. I was clearly rattled, worried about my vet appointment and about to go down with an upper respiratory infection. They could not have been nicer! They patched the hole in my tire and absolutely REFUSED any type of payment. This act of kindness is not something you see these days and I was so touched. I shared my experience on FB and a lot of my friends in Grassland saw it, but I wanted to share it with an even broader audience and so here it is. Such good and friendly people; folks, these are the kinds of business we need to steer towards! A huge thank you to Grassland Auto Care!

Be prepared to be overcharged, lied to, and have your vehicle worked on by incompetent mechanics. I was sitting in the lobby while my car was under maintenance when a customer came in for an oil change. They "fixed" parts of the car that was not requested and charged him heavily for it. When he complained he was dismissed and forced to pay. When he left, I overheard the front desk guy say "thats what you get for using a coupon." as he and others laughed. Personally, they damaged my car by putting the completely wrong parts in. Nothing but criminals. Joe Kerr Isnt my real name. Thats why there is no record. It was also over a year ago. I dont own the same car anymore. I was too young to know what to do about it then. I recalled the experience recently and felt this was the least I could do. I owned a 2005 Pontiac GTO. If I saw the guys face I could point him out.

Talk about customer service!! TIM made my day today!! Not only did I get the best pricing at Grassland Car Care Center for new tires on my van & great advice (Tim is very honest & knowledgable on tires!!), but I also got AMAZING customer service!! Tim came & got my van at my home (in Grassland), took it to his shop, installed new tires, did an alignment, then returned my van to my home. Im a busy mom of 3 little girls & this made getting new tires such a seamless & downright enjoyable experience!! It was hands down the BEST vehicle maintenance experience Ive ever had!! Highly recommend Tim & his team at Grassland Car Care Center!!! They will now be our "GO TO" for all things car related!!!
