I had an older laptop that I really needed to keep running for a while. I went to CPR, asked if they work on laptops, showed the person there the problem I was having (a problem with the LCD), and they said they could try to fix it. They made me sign a waiver basically requiring me to hold them harmless if they should break my laptop worse than it already was. Then they proceeded to do exactly that. Since the person I spoke with said that they might be able to get to it by that evening, I started to wonder why they hadnt called me back after 24 hours had passed. I was told by the person who worked on it that he might be able to fix it, but that it would probably not stay fixed and would continue to have problems. I went to pick it up that same evening. I waited several minutes before the person who worked on it brought it to the counter and showed it to me. The plastic frame around the screen was detached at the bottom right side. There was apparently no screw inside the housing there. Part of the frame was also bent all out of shape. He explained that the threads in the housing were completely stripped, that he couldnt get a screw to stay inside of it, and that this is what was causing the problem with the monitor. I pointed out that the screw was intact and not falling out when I brought to them, yet I did indeed have a problem with the display on the monitor. He got irritated, and told me that they dont use power drills on the computers, and therefore they could not possibly have caused the damage to the laptop. I wasnt sure what in the world not using a power drill had to do with it. But, being a person who, while not able to do many of my own computer repairs, I do use screwdrivers fairly regularly, and I know that yes, it is possible to strip the threads, especially on a plastic laptop frame, if youre not careful. But, to my attempts to point this out to him, he would only point at my laptop and insist, "Look: Its had damage. Its had damage." I asked if he could at least put the laptop back together the way I brought it in. He said yes. I waited 20-30 minutes, and he brought it back out saying that, sorry, he couldnt do it. When I got home and was able to look at it more closely, I looked underneath the loose, pried-apart frame of my laptop: There was a screw sitting in the housing. It was the wrong size. I dont know. Maybe they do better work on cell phones. But they would still have to know how to use a screwdriver. My recommendation: Dont sign their waiver. Dont let them anywhere near your electronic equipment.

WARNING!! My son brought his iPhone here to have a broken screen replaced on 7/13/2016. Employee, John Davis, stole nude photos off his phone and sent them to himself (admitted it was his own phone number after we confronted him). The employee of CPR sent himself 53 pictures of my son & his girlfriend (nude photos). My son saw it happening real-time (synced with his iPad). We went back immediately to retrieve the phone, called the police...criminal investigation with Knox County, etc. On 7/28/16, I called the store owner (Michael Haq), and he admitted this happened and he was aware of it. He said, "My employee broke the rules and he was terminated for it."... but he refused to offer any compensation for the severe emotional distress this has caused over the past few weeks. We are now pursuing a civil case for invasion of privacy. It also appeared the store manager (who I think was NOT fired) was in on it... as the employee who stole the pictures fixed my sons broken screen, sent himself the pictures, then when I called and confronted John on the phone the 1st time and told him we were coming to get the phone and not to touch it any more...he took my sons phone apart again and by the time we got there, he had the broken screen separated again. And there is likely NO WAY the manager did not know or see him do this, since they both stand side-by-side working on the same countertop while fixing phones. If you are/were a customer of this store, and had any risque pictures on your phone, I suggest you check your phone bill from the date/time your phone was at this store to see if there was a video/image file transfer from your phone number to a number starting in 865-456-xxxx. You probably have a good civil case against these scammers/thieves, too!

I went to this store as a walk-in last week for a broken LCD display. The phone was fixed very quickly and the staff were professional. However, when I got home I noticed that the top left of the screens frame was missing(pic attached, hopefully). I figured as long as the phone works, I wont worry about it. The next evening, I noticed a crack in the display again. Nothing traumatic happened that day to the phone (e.g. dropping) and I thought it weird to be cracked within a day of having it repaired. I called the store and spoke with the manager (Andy), who said they probably wouldnt replace it but they would take a look at it if I brought it in. That seemed reasonable so I took the phone in. After looking at it, the determination was made that I had caused the damage and they would not replace it. When I asked about the top left of the screen frame, Andy explained to me that my phone frame was bent to bad that it had to be grinded down and the screen had to be put in there like that. Perhaps thats standard protocol...I dont know, but I have a hole on the top left of my phone that wasnt there before. Perhaps that will be in style in the near future. He offered to replace it with 20% off, which I refused because I wasnt interested in them profiting off of me twice. After the disingenuous offer, he candidly mentioned that my two year old phone looked "rough" which seemed unnecessary. At any rate, maybe I had bad luck here, but I spent $110 to have a working screen for a day and a phone with a hole in the top left of the frame. I can say without equivocation that I will not patronize this business in the future.

About two weeks ago i dropped my galaxy s3 and broke the glass. The phone still functioned so i continued to use it. After finding a piece of glass in my ear i had to fix it. I found the parts online and tried to repair the phone myself. Bad Idea! I got the glass on nicely but the screen wouldnt come back on. UH OH... Decided to go to a pro. I called your store and they were very friendly and helpful. I explained to them my situation and they informed me that my phone was probably fine and i had only damaged the LCD. That was relieving to hear!! They assured me they had my parts in stock and could fix my phone. When arriving the store was a little busy but the crew were quick about acknowledging i was there. I talked to a guy and explained to him my story up til this point. he confidently confirmed that my phone was fixable and could be repaired TODAY!! He was very courteous and respectful. He took my information and they called me within an hour saying my phone was fixed. AWESOME AND FAST... Overall I was very pleased with the amazing and speedy service. My phone looks as good as new and even works a little bit smoother. Thank You CPR. You are truly lifesavers.
