So I thought these guys were great. Thought being the key word here. They had done my oil change before, and one time they replaced a bulb and changed windshield wipers for me for free. So I was like, oh maybe I can trust these guys. So I come in because I need to get my car inspected and registered. But then my brake lights stop working. Brad tells me that it is an electrical issue and that Im going to need to bring it in Friday morning because its too late in the afternoon and that the diagnostic takes about 2-3 hours. So Im like, Im driving around without brake lights, but ok, I understand. So Friday morning comes, apparently it will cost me $120 to run the diagnostic. Seems steep, but fine. They offer to drive me to my apartment, which I accept. About 3 hours later I get a call from good ole Brad telling me that its a special piece that only Hyundai sells. That piece will cost me $77, but hes not going to charge me a labor cost... ok, thats nice I guess. My car will be fixed and ready to take home today. Great! But then Brad makes a fatal mistake. He calls back to let me know that the part is actually not there and needs to be ordered. I can only get my car fixed Monday. So, I ask him what part needs to be fixed, because why not find it online for cheaper? He gets kinda weird at this point, but then tells me its the "brake lamp relay," and then tells me he has a couple things to do, and they will pick me up soon, so that I can get my car. I say ok, and look online for the part. Of course, nothing comes up; there is a brake switch, and there is a relay, but no "brake lamp relay" So then I call Hyundai, hoping maybe I can find one in DFW because I need to drive to work on the weekend and not having brake lights is dangerous. The Hyundai service department says the part costs about $20. Seriously?! I dont mind paying if you have integrity. Just tell me the price of the part, and how much you need to service the car. Dishonesty is something I refuse to pay for. Im a graduate student that has two jobs, so $120 is a lot for me to pay. I call AutoZone, and Michael asks me some questions, and then tells me its probably the brake switch. Ok Michael, Brad just ran a $120 diagnostic, Im pretty sure its more than the brake switch. Its been like 40 min, and they still havent come to get me for my car. So I call and ask the lady (who claims to be the assistant manager) who answers the phone and says the car is still being diagnosed. I was like lol, thats funny, since they called and told me the diagnosis is complete. Shes like, ok you can come get the car. Im like, yall drove me to my apartment. She rudely tells me that they are doing a couple other oil changes and will get me later. Um, what? First of all, if dropping people off at their apartment is a service you do, you should pick them up in a timely manner. I live 5 min away, they could be doing stuff to my car, messing something else up, who knows? So I uber there. They lady is shocked to see me. She goes outside for a couple minutes and comes back and says they are putting the car back together (um what?). I finally get my car and drive to AutoZone. Michael changes the brake switch, which he didnt have to do, and lo and behold! The brake lights work! The part was $16.95. When I called back, Brad magically disappears and wont be back till Tuesday. They told me that the technicians worked long and hard trying to find the problem (

This a review from someone who does not write reviews or any other status related thing. I took my 2001 GMC Jimmy here because I thought the car was overheating. Took it to City Garage telling them what I thought it was and they ran a coolant system test for 50 dollars. When they came back they claimed the car wouldnt overheat for them, but found 740$ worth of things that could be replaced. I must have sucker labeled across my forehead and I admit trust people way too quickly. The manager will be very pressing (almost like an internet scam) saying if you dont act quickly it will happen again. I felt like I was in a crunch so I went with what they claimed was the absolute necessary, costing 450$. After work was done the smoking began again and I quickly took it back and the manager claiming oh no it was the break the whole time! He said we have to keep the car here and find whats wrong. Manager I spoke to wasnt even there the next day and could barely be reached (unprofessional). Assistant manager came back with a quote of 670$ for both front breaks. I refused as this was absurd and they tried to get me to do just the break that was smoking (which would cost even more having to replace both at a future time). The manager only refunded me 150$ dollars of the 450$ because he knew they neglected the real problem. Went to another place in Carrollton and got pads, rotors, and break line replaced for 450$ both fronts. Sh%*^y Garage as the other place so kindly called them wanted to replace rotors, pads, and calipers (the last werent needed and the guy at the other place dropped his mouth when I told him that). Also told the other place how a "technician" at City Garage claimed by replacing my fan motor this would make my A/c kick harder. He legit laughed out loud in 110 degree heat in front of a motor and said "Wow they really do not know anything." In reality this place really only wants your money judging by the way they took advantage of a college student and willing to do the work to replace something that didnt overheat and try to replace only one break (what a joke). Granted I was the sucker that bought into this and didnt get a second opinion, but let me be your first opinion do NOT ever go here. Even if it is only an oil change they will likely try and make up something that needs to be done to your car. Oh and also it took them 3 hrs, even though I walked back there 2.5 hrs into the wait and said what going on? He got surprised and did the work in 30 minutes. This place is absolute garbage and I hope you do not make the same mistake I did. All these other reviews are oil changes or just plain suckers. Have a great day and make the right decision!

Nothing. AAA recommend city garage to me. So I had my car towed to their shop. Got there and their mechanic got started on my car. I told him it need an starter. He said the engine is locked up. Lol really. After about an of nothing the mechanic finally realized my corvette has a high compression motor. I tried to tell that he wouldnt listen. A young kid who work at city garage the the mechanic the customer is right he knows his car. It on a Saturday afternoon and everyone is closing so I am at their mercy. When you read this be sitting down. City garage charged me $1161.93 to replace my starter on 2011 corvette. Being from out of stateI kinda knew it would be high but not that high. For a reman starter it cost to me was $577.80 and the rest was Labor really. So if you are traveling out of state and your Vehicle break down take it to a dealership if you can. Please stay away from City Garage of Arlington Tx and any where there is a City Garage. Yes they ripped me off but an expensive lesson learn. I read other people reviews of city garage and some was positive. Not mine, but City Garage dont ever have to worry about me coming back to use their business. I was at a corvette gathering and when they heard what City Garage charged me. I will not repeat what they said about City Garage. One than for sure none of the Corvette family will be using their service. To City Garage I am going to tell as many people as I can about your service and prices on remanufactured parts. To the owner of City Garage of Arlington. I asked if they did military discount the young service tech said yes, but when I checked out the guy on the register said we dont do military discount. So I said ok. This happen on 9/26/2015 store #17. Here is the good part of this I am not Mad just disappointed.
