I made an appointment and had my wife take my truck here for their $99 front end alignment. She ended up waiting about 2- 2.5 hours to end up being told that the vehicle could not be aligned due to two bad wheel bearings/hubs. To start off one wheel hub was recently replaced and I know for a fact that it is indeed serviceable for use. One wheel hub is bad which does mean they can’t align the truck. What is irritating is the fact that they quoted my wife $2387.75 for a range of services that I did not ask for. Let’s just go down the list together: Four wheel alignment $99.95 (Pretty standard deal) Engine Computer Diagnostic $110 (Free at AutoZone, O’Reillys) Cooling System Flush $111.95 (Not needed recently changed by me when I swapped my cam 20K ago) Transmission Flush $199.95 (Not needed recently changed by me after my torque converter was replaced 15K ago) Replace the Air filter $19.31 (Not a bad deal) Replace Front Wheel Hub Assembly $559.16 in parts and $409.20 Labor (Wheel Hubs cost $43-100 on Rock Auto. (A ridiculous amount of money for parts I’m ok with the labor cost) Power Steering Flush $109.95 (Not needed recently changed by me 20K ago when I did my cam) Remove and Replace the Oil Pan Gasket $78.24 Parts and $594 in labor (Not needed the slooooowwww leak is well within factory specifications) Total Parts $843.96 Total Labor $1445.75 Sublet $0 Shop Supplies $24.40 Other Fees $2 Tax $71.64 Total Invoice $2387.75 Now here is the actual complaint the majority of what they said “needed” was not and there is no quantitative evidence that any of the fluids need replacement. I’m sure they saw some female who would easily fall prey to this malarkey. I cannot attest to the quality of work that they perform but taking advantage of unsuspecting people is highly immoral and unethically. I completely understand that they need to make money but putting the screws to people and replacing things that are unnecessary is an unacceptable business practice. I would highly suggest that anyone who receives a quote from them needs to shop around or talk to any normal human with a functioning brain. Had the “Christian Brothers” quoted me a reasonable price to change the wheel hubs I likely would have a paid for it as I am rather busy. Instead I ordered my parts from Rock Auto and will replace the hub in 2 hours’ time in my driveway while I have an ice cold Shiner Bock that I can now afford because I didn’t get raked over the coals by the “Christian Brothers”.

I used this shop recently when my acelerator went out on my volkswagon Jetta. First of all, they gave me the highest bid of any shop who quoted me. However, I had my car towed here initially, and I went ahead with the repairs. They failed to update me on the progress and I had to call numerous times to get updates. I understand they are busy and I was even okay with paying a higher price due to convenience of this location to my home and the fact that it would have been more to tow my car to a different shop, however, the service I received was incredibly awful. When I picked up my car, the guy made rude comments to me and instead of bringing my car to the front, they made me walk to the very back of the parking lot to pick it up and no one was waiting on them, and there were a few guys in the back that could have helped. They were rude every time I called about updates as well. Dealing with car issues, is already incredibly stressful, the least they could do is be pleasant and respectful of my time.

Wow! After exclusively using Christian Brothers since 2000, we got to know them well. Always had good luck until a year ago when brakes were replaced. Had a squeaking issue from the beginning that "could not be fixed". There was a change in ownership recently and, everything has been taken to a higher level. The best customer service we have every experienced. Ann is a STAR! I had used them for a small repair a few months ago and met the new owner and Ann. Was very impressed. The squeak in the brakes was getting worse, so I took the car in 2 weeks ago to see what could be done. They found something that was not completed the first time, replaced and returned the car.....no more squeaking! Incredibly impressed. Thank you!

Lisa, the intake specialist, is top notch! She ordered the break parts needed the night before allowing me "same day" service on the repairs on a Friday.. It saved me extra days on the rental car. 5 stars ***** to Lisa. Also, I needed a ride over to rental place, Im not sure of the guys name who suggested it, but he decided to have the mechanic, who was likely to work on the car the next day drive me over ... he diagnosed the problem (with my help) while doing it! If we did not do this, I would have also lost a time and perhaps missed the rental car cut off time (they close at 6PM). Outstanding service and support all the way around! I am a Christian and an ex-mechanic. Several years ago I brought in a car that needed a steering rack boot installed (very simple job) and I even provided the boot. The car also idled a bit rough which they said they could likely remedy. By the end of the day they charged me almost $200 including an alignment that was not necessary, and stated they could NOT fix the rough idle. At the time I questioned their ability, and today I was told that they are "not supposed to work on any more of my stuff ". How Christian is that? By the way, the rough idle was caused by a simple vacuum leak which I fixed myself.

I have an 98 Chevy Tahoe that now requires a bit more care than when it was newer. I have consistently found Christian Brothers to be professional, prompt, quick, skilled and reasonably priced. I have had occasion to bring my truck to them three times in the last two years and found the experience to be as painless as I believe you can get when you talk about older vehicle repairs. I also can comment on the consistency from one location to another as I have taken my wifes car to one of their other DFW locations and the conditions there were just as excellent. I highly recommend them.

Not only are they honest and skilled, but these guys went above and beyond to help me with my trucks. For example, even when he couldnt install my hitch because I bought the wrong rails, he called around until he found someone who had the right parts and could do it for me that day. They not only provided personalized service every time, but they really showed they cared. I wouldnt hesitate to go back to them for any repairs. This is the only location I have gone to in Dallas. I would recommend them to anyone.

The staff IS friendly, as other reviewers stated. My first visit was a little chaotic. With kids behind the counter, an employee on a personal phone call. The lady behind the counter kept apologizing for the wait, which was about 3 minutes, so no need for apologies. Service was completed quickly, so I returned another day with a second car, and the atmosphere was more calm. They are very close to my office, have great people, and Ill continue to support them!
