The lady that helped my (I think she may be the owner or manager) was very nice as were most of the employees that I dealt with. I was not satisfied with my alterations though. I came in to have my wedding dress altered. I was referred to Alterations by Elegante by Belle Saison Bridal and I am new to the area so I blindly took the recommendation. When I came to pick up my dress it was completely wrinkled. Typically when you pay $270.00 for alterations you expect the dress to come back pressed especially since when I brought it to them it was brand new and wrinkle free. Anyway...at first they said that I would have to pay for it but after 20 minutes of discussing it they agreed to do it for no charge. Also, I guess my dress was like no other dress that had seen. The lady said that since the tool from the pittycoat continued down the train that in order to bussle it you would have to cut off the tool. After a while she convinced me that it would be okay to just cut off the little bit of tool when it came time to bussel the dress but at the wedding when it came time to bussle it not only did we need to cut off the tool but also the lining of the dress in order to do it. I ended up deciding against cutting it and just left it down all night. I was very frustrated that I had payed $270 and all I got was some very basic alterations. Overall the service was not acceptable. I will have to pay a fortune to have the dress cleaned from dragging it around all night long and just pray that they can actually get it clean. The ladies were very friendly but I would not recommend using them especially for special occasion gowns/dresses/suits etc.

I had my dress altered here. But the quality is poor. The one who worked on my dress cut two small holes on the left shoulder when she worked on the shoulders. The owner of the shop suggested to have the shoulder tucked in 1/4 inches and she promised that the contractor who worked in her shop would do what she suggested. And, it would take a week to fix the problems since the contractor only works there 3 days. So, I agreed. After a week, I came to pick the dress. The owner said "The lady didnt tuck in the shoulder because shes afraid it would make two sides mismatch. So, she made stitches the holes." I asked her why you didnt call me since this was not what you promised to do. She avoided to answer my questions and suggested to leave the dress for another week to fix the shoulders or take the tax off the $80 I paid for the alternation. Can she and her contractor get work done this time? I dont think so. I particularly dont like her way to do business. No communication, no commitment. Im not recommending this shop to anyone for alternation.
