Were living in the best of times and the worst of times -or so it feels like to me. The economy, crime, crazy people shooting others in the street, or corrupt authorities abusing power... it can feel like a bad science fiction movie. Its getting harder to find people in any field (and especially in the auto repair industry) who have other priorities besides pure self interest and maximizing profits. Hi-Tech Automotive is a rare exception. Ive taken my van there twice for completely unrelated reasons and both times I enjoyed the interaction, the less than expected bill, and feeling the smooth powerful rejuvenated ride. And I really like the people. In their down home unpretentious customer service you immediately sense a deeper motivation, a perceptive wisdom that speaks from the heart of a family member. These folks are not just exceptionally intelligent top-notch mechanics. Their calm attentiveness has the patient demeanor of a higher calling. Every indication is that the culture in this establishment is one with an evolved ethical awareness. You walk away knowing that at Hi-Tech Auto you are known, included, and cared for. You are more than just a vehicle as a means to your wallet. You walk away in a delightfully uplifting paradox that in this exchange what you really provided for them was the pleasure that comes from contributing and from making a positive difference. I have a real confidence in my vehicle, a gratifying sense of community, and hope for the future. Thank you Hi-Tech

This place was a terrible experience for me. If I could rate zero starts I would. I went in at about 12:30 for a simple inspection. They said come back at one when theyre done with their lunch break. Which was totally fine. So I come back in at exactly one, I wait about 15 minutes to be spoken to. Then, the man took my car began inspection and about 15 minutes later he returns and says. Sir, we cannot do emissions on your car. I ask why and they said they couldnt get to the ob2 plug because they do not remove interior panels! BULLSHIT! Your a mechanic thanks your job. There is two screws the will allo the panel to drop. Its that simple. Then when he was explaining it to me the main boss told him to go and get started on another car rushed him to do it. In my opinion these guys are lazy. They didnt do my car because it was about closing time. They close at 2. It was at about 1:30 this happens. Do not take your car here, they will charge an arm and a leg. And they are not honest, they do whats best for them. Not the customer. I wasted 3 hours on my day off to get my vehicle inspected. And it still didnt get done. I really am upset with the work ethic they put it

I wouldnt give this place ANY stars but you have to give at least one star to get started. My 80 year old grandfather said he has been coming to this place for years and likes his nice they are to him. I now see why they are "nice", because they drained his wallet. His 1999 V6 Ford F-150 needed quite a bit of work to be done but after hearing the estimate price my wife said she took the phone over from my grandfather and told the mechanic not to do ANY of the work because the price seemed too high. I took my grandfather to pick up the truck and they said he owes $82. I then found out that they decided to do the oil change EVEN AFTER they were told not to do ANY WORK. They charged him $82 to put Full Synthetic oil in a 1999 Ford with high milage. The Estimate for the "Major Tune-Up" required was $468. After doing some research and visiting a different mechanic he was given an estimate of $239 for the same work. Hi-Tech Automotive seems like they take great care of their customers as long as they take ADVANTAGE of them at the same time! Or maybe they just take ADVANTAGE OF their Senior Citizen customers...shame!

I have been bringing our cars to Hi-Tech Auto for the past 2 years. Particularly, my 2005 4Runner because I love it so much — it’s an indestructible machine when cared for properly. HiTech has performed regular maintenance on it, including changing out the front brake rotors, new brake pads and installing new front CV axles when the boots on the originals blew out (not an easy job). They use high quality parts and their labor is more than fair. Chimis is an honest businessman and his family and crew run a top notch service facility. HiTech is the the trusted shop that I prefer for all of my maintenance and repairs. If you’re not satisfied with the service when you come here, you might have unreasonable expectations and need your head checked.

Always hard to find honest mechanics I have been taking both of my vehicles here for about a 1 1/2 yrs. They always do a great job and go the extra mile to figure out the problem. One time a sensor in my car was going out and the car would just cut out while driving (very dangerous). The problem was due to a sensor over heating. At first the problem could not be duplicated, but High Tech stuck with it until they found the problem.... by driving my car until they could duplicate problem.. not just putting on a hoist and staring at it like some shops do. They have always had my car back to me within a day as well. Hats off to you guys for awesome customer service.

The first time I used these guys my starter had gone out. I had AAA tow my truck to these guys (they have some space on along Annie near their building where it is easy for a tow truck to drop off your vehicle). I get to work at 6:30 and by 6:45 I had called expecting to leave a message. Instead of a machine, I got a live person. He was friendly and informative and by 11am that same day my truck was ready. Price was reasonable and I shopped around a bit before my starter died (I knew it was on its way out). My truck is currently there for a problem with the ignition distributor - Ill be sure to review that experience as well.

These people are amazing. Prices are extremely fair! They always respect your time and communicate extremely effectively. They place pride in the work they do, and it shows! Never had a single complaint ever regarding the service I have gotten here. They even offer VERY responsibly priced loner cars if you reserve ahead of time. Saves a ton of money and hassle getting a rental or using a service to get you around while you are getting maintenance. Other places can only dream of offering the kind of great customer service this place has! Total recommendations from a hypercritical person. No joke. Go here!

I took my car in for an emissions test and failed. Its because I recently had work done on my cars computer and it hadnt reset. I wasnt aware and failed a second time. The way these things work is that you can pay once and bring it back to see if you pass a second time for free. I brought it in 3 different times before it passed. I was ready to pay. The computer wanted to charge me but they wouldnt accept my money. Tony, who runs the tests is really great. I had an excellent experience. Thanks Tony.
