TLDR: I took my Ford Explorer over there two years ago because the A/C had gone out -- they fixed it for cheap! I just used them again today and am equally in love with their work and prices! Two years ago, I took my car to some skeezy place in South Austin (very nice waiting room though. Air conditioned, HD TV, leather couches). I took my car in to have the failing A/C looked at (i was using voucher that I had bought from their rep that came by my work that had a bunch of oil changes and diagnostics on it). They checked the A/C out and "OMG theres a HUGE hole in the line and itll cost $800 to fix, but hey at least it isnt the compressor!" Did you try charging it anyway? "Oh nono, we wouldnt want to waste your money like that -- it would all just fall out" KThanxbai I decided to try charging it first, as I was pretty strapped for cash at the time. I dont remember how much the repair places near my apartment quoted me, but it was more than I could afford -- until I came across Qs Automotive. Duke (the owner, I presume) offered to do it for $30 if I provided the refrigerant (most places insist on selling that to you too). So I ran by Autozone, grabbed some cans, and headed over! They got me going right away -- even let me watch them work, actually showing me how to do it myself if I ever wanted to buy the regulator-thing that they used! A/C blew cold air for a year (after which I did actually try fixing it myself). This time around, two years later, they did the whole job for $60 (which ended up saving me more money). Sure, his shop doesnt have much polish, but hes honest and fair -- even to a kid who doesnt know much about cars like me (which seems to demand at least a 50% markup, in my experience) Seven thumbs up :)

I took my sons Jaguar there to have the AC checked out. They did not charge me even though they used some freon. After much online research, I decided not to go ahead with recommended replacement of evaporator and compressor, which would run into thousands of $, and was the only option offered by the other place I had contacted. I bought a new drier online for $20 and called Q. they quoted $230 to flush the system, fit the drier and recharge, no guarantees it would work of course, but at least they were willing to try and save me money. Well it did work, they honored their price, I saved thousands. I can only rate them by this one experience, but based on this Id give them 5 stars.
