On Columbus day, 10/13/2014, I went in a month in advance to get my yearly inspection. I had used this inspection place probably 10 times over the past. There was always a group of good guys and gal doing my inspection. Today, they were entirely different and fairly new hires. The employee who did my inspection, Selma Cervantez, was rude, should could barely drive a manual burning up my clutch which I could smell and hear, nor could she drive a vehicle without power steering. I have never had any problems with my power steering. At the end of my inspection she claimed that some one must have took out my power steering. She failed me because she like luxury, but my older vehicle does not nor has it ever had power steering and it was designed that way to be fuel efficient and save the environment. Ms. Cervantez popped the hood to show me the power steering, of course there was none as the vehicle is not designed with power steering as it is a small light hatchback. Ms. Cervantez made up some rule along with her counter part employee that all vehicles after 1968 years are suppose to have power steering which of course is bogus. She also failed me because she thinks my muffler is loose although she never looked underneath the vehicle. Ms. Cervantez had the nerve to tell me that her husband is a mechanic and that is why all vehicles after 1968 are required to have power steering. She cant drive standard manuals, she obviously has no business working here, and shes rude and is just out to push peoples buttons, besides straight up lying about the laws and regulations. The gentleman who also believed all cars past 1968 require power steering also had no clue what he was doing. I wanted my refund seeing as how this is not a professional establishment and are making up stuff. I failed because Ms. Cervantez thinks my muffler is loose and because she thinks my car is suppose to have power steering so it was too hard for her to turn. They lost my business forever. they called the female owner who Ive meet at previous inspections and she corrected one of her employees over the phone, advising him that not all vehicles are required to have power steering and there is no such 1968 rule. Although, they have to give me the victory of not all cars newer than 1968 require power steering, they still failed me on the subjective rule that my muffler is loose. But considering their expert opinion, I advise us all to take our business to a professional establishment and hold this poor performance accountable. I will be reporting them to Better Business Bureau, other reviews, and youtube to see them making up their own rules and laws.

The automatic car wash is not very good. Either the jets arent powerful enough or there isnt much cleaning solution being used. Ive taken my car there twice and each time the wash did not get everything off of it. Its like you pay for an ultimate but in reality you are only getting a basic wash. You cant tell what step of the was your in because there is no mechanism for it, so you never really know if youre getting all that you pay for. The self-service wash isnt any better. First, they dont have all the selections on the wall. Secondly, you dont know if youre on the right direction because the knobs are so worn down that it lands in between the items you need. Finally, when you do figure it out, it takes the selections up to a minute, or more, to be effective, which adds more time and costs you more money.

I like going here to wash my car since its nearby. Very easy to wash your car with the different options they have and its a decent price. I like how they have individual units with cement walls in between each unit; I dont have to worry about being sprayed on by the car next door to me (some car wash places just have an open area). Got my vehicle inspection from here too. The guy that performed the test didnt really say much to me, but he was able to get the job done. They give you a free car wash coupon on your next visit.

University Car Wash is conveniently located in Central Austin if you want to come in and get a quick wash. You have the option of getting an automated machine wash, or you can also wash your car yourself with the spray washers. What many people dont know is that they provide car inspection stickers here, and will give you a coupon for a free automated car wash to go along with the purchase. This is almost like getting a $6 rebate for your inspection sticker. Awesome deal.

Quick and convenient, albeit a little small, they do however accept credit cards at this location. If you do get a $10 charge on your credit/debit card, dont fret, thats usually a holding charge that will change to the amount that you were actually charged in a few days. Its a tiny bit more expensive than other self serve car washes, but hey for the location, you cant beat it. Clean bays, vaccuums, and even a automatic car wash.

Usually not too crowded and has everything you need for a nice car cleaning. The vacuums only take quarters but you can swipe a card, use cash, or use quarters for the "wash it yourself" car wash. The wash has all the normal options including pre-rinse, Tire soak, soap rinse, foaming brush, high pressure rinse, wax, and spot free rinse. The credit card option is great and allows you to wash until clean or the bill gets to $10.

Great car wash place! Couple of tips, their system only takes $10 at a time so make sure you dont put your credit card away. Also make sure you bring your own drying towels or microfiber, they are very pricey there! And finally for the vacuum, it is cheaper to extend the time than to buy a new one so make sure you watch the time!

They offer self wash and auto-wash, I have not used the auto-wash, I prefer to wash my own car. The car wash bay is okay nothing all that special, typical self serve car wash. They also offer state inspections, but it can get busy at times and they accept credit cards.

If you care about your clear-coat you should never use a car wash brush heads. If you enjoy self-service and washing your car properly this is the place to go. That said makes sure you bring your own sealant/wax and microfiber towels.

The young man who did my inspection damaged my vehicle. I had to have it towed away from University Car Wash. I had to pay a few hundred dollars to fix it. University Car Wash didnt apologize or pay for any of those expenses.

Great price for self serve wash. Convenient in that the machine takes cash, coins, or credit cards. Good expierience. High quality wash. My review is only for the self serve. They have an automated wash but I did not try it.

Ridiculously over-priced (2$ for 2:00 of self wash), but when you consider the location they probably have to jack the price up to cover the property. Everything always works so its as good as a car wash can be I suppose.

I love this place! Its always clean and well maintained. The best part is that the car wash stalls take credit cards. It does make it a little easy to spend too much but it does allow you to concentrate on cleaning.
