So Im going to go ahead and spend my Saturday afternoon on this review.. Why? Because this was the worst customer service experience I have ever received.. Literally! I bought a groupon for Genie( in hopes of trying this place out- I usually go elsewhere but why not give it a shot!) I pull up and Alan(not sure if this is the right spelling) greets me and I explain this is my first time here and I have a groupon what services are offered. He quickly tells me not to waste my money on groupons and to buy a membership. Long story short I tell him I just want the outside of my car washed and waxed and he said hed throw in a carpet cleaning for free. I go inside to pay and Im rung up with more than I wanted to pay for a simple wash and mat cleaning. The lady inside tells me to go back outside and talk with Alan about the prices. I have no problem paying extra for something but for the services offered I couldnt see how it would total what it did. So I walk outside and approach Alan whom is currently complaining to another guy about customers. He finally turns around to face me and I say kindly " Id actually just like the outside of my car washed- no extras( keep in mind I have a groupon for $80 worth of services. Next thing I know Alan lets me know that A cheap bit**** like me who buys groupons are never satisfied. I was so appalled and caught off guard I asked to have my key back and I wanted my vehicle back because I wasnt comfortable with the way he was talking to me. I let him know that cursing at customers is unacceptable and not the way to keep customers. He then continued to berate and curse and yell at me in front of other workers. Finally one of the other workers steps in (wish I knew his name because he was the only good part of this visit) and walks me to the front and apologizes for Alans behavior and told me it wasnt the first time hes talked to a woman that way. By this time Im so upset Im in tears(and yes I did call him a certain name on my way to the front after 5 minutes of being cursed out and yelled at by him) because I couldnt fathom how a grown man is allowed to berate and curse at me the way he did. The manager then comes out and asks if he can send me to another location? Uh.. No. I just want to leave. Im embarrassed and upset and all I wanted was a car wash. I asked the manager how an employee is allowed to continue working after treating a customer that way and he told me it wasnt his decision whether to keep staff on board. My car was washed and dried thanks to the nice employee and manager however the fact that an employee is allowed to treat me the way I was treated and still remain working on that shift is insane. He didnt even treat me like a human being. Having other workers confirm that this type of behavior isnt a first for him and apologizing for him is very bothersome. The vibe I got from all the other workers was this guy is a loose cannon and it allowed to do what he wants. Whoever is running this place... You have a huge liability on your hands. I hope you guys make the right call here for other customers sake.

Ive been going to Genie Car Wash for about 3 years now. I have been happy with my experience up until Monday. Darrin, the sales guy who takes the car wash orders when you pull up, is a complete jerk and a bad representation of this company. I had told him the last couple times that I was not interested in the annual pass. When he walked up on Monday, I told him "Please do not try to sell me the annual pass. I want an executive wash." He then got aggressive and confrontational. He stepped up in my face, waved his pad of paper and said "Im going to do this every time you come here." I said, "if thats the way its going to be, then I dont want to get my car washed here." He replied, "Thats the way its going to be," staring me down. I put my stuff back in my truck and started to get back in. He walked up to the window yelling something at me about McDonalds up-selling a big Mac and then I pulled out. I stopped before exiting the premises because I felt I should let a manager know that his sales guy is literally having an adverse effect on the business. I walked in and Mark the manager was very receptive, but it seemed he didnt have the authority to do anything about the situation. He said I was the 3rd complaint about Darrin that day alone. I am not normally one to write reviews, but when other customers in the lobby said they too had been aggressively confronted and made uncomfortable, I couldnt let this one go. Your employee Darrin is toxic to your business and I wont go back to Genie or H20 so long as he is employed there. I would suggest taking a hard look at him as an employee of your company and perhaps dialing back the sales structure for annual passes to alleviate this issue. Thank you.

Ugh, I cant believe Im writing another shitty review of a car wash, but here I am.. (seriously if any of you know of an awesome car wash that cares, please comment!) . On 3/25 I visited because I had to visit about 18 different hotels in the downtown area and park my truck at valet while making calls, so I had to maintain appearances. I bought the "managers special" and went across the street to Maudies for breakfast tacos.. When I came back 15 minutes later, theres this big guy, standing on an overturned bucket, hammering a wooden block with his fist into my doorjam of my truck to try and pry the door open far enough because they locked my keys in the truck. I said WTF are you doing? "Truck is locked, gotta pry it open.." I said "by ruining the friggin door? Stop that!" I asked for the manager "Phil" (I dont think he exists) and was made to wait at the front desk for over 40 minutes. I asked for Phil or the owner and neither ever came. NOT ONCE did anyone apologize or give me options, they treated me like it was my fault they locked the keys inside. Anyhow, some guy from their garage came over with some sort of air bladder that gets inserted between the door, and inflated it, and basically pried the door open.. I went back inside and demanded to speak to "Phil" and he never showed.. I had to get back to work so I left, and I called back when I got home, guess what.. "Phil" never answered the line.. Hold music for 6 minutes plus. I will never go back here and I will make sure every interaction I have with people regarding car wash options will make mention of this. If anyone knows the actual owner, please let me know, Id LOVE to talk to him or her. Thank you.

Giving it 1 star for both service and quality. Service - they estimated 1 hour for a detail. 1 hour 45 minutes later they hadnt started on the car yet. At 2 hours in they finally started working on it. Turns out they lost my car on their lot. They only went looking for it when I noticed many people who came in after me leaving already and I asked about my car for the 3rd time. They did not apologize at all or offer me any discount for their mistake. The salesperson was also very high-pressure. Quality - when they gave me the car back the seats were soaked and did not get cleaned very well. The interior of the front window was completely wet. The cupholders and side areas had over 1/4" of cleaning fluid in them. The floor mats were soaked. They basically did not dry the car at all. Several days later everything in the car is still very wet and with a strong chemical cleaning smell. I may need to take it someplace else to get it cleaned from the cleaning. Follow-up 4 days later: the car now smells like a mix of chemicals and something else. It never smelled like this prior to taking my car in, or has ever smelled this bad. Also, I noticed on the 2nd day after getting my car back (right after I wrote the review) that the area between the front and back passenger side windows is rusted. They ran my car through the car wash immediately upon taking my car in, then it sat for 1 hr 45 minutes without them drying it or touching it. It was not a sunny day that day so nothing dried. It is either rust or they used brillo-type pads to dry that area. The car is not that old, and that was definitely not there prior to the car wash.
