If you are about to buy or rent a house represented by Coldwell Banker United, Realtors either run in the other direction or make sure that you have an army of inspectors before you sign an agreement, even if you are only renting. These people represent slumlords and write custom leasing agreements that strip the renters of their rights and let the slumlords do what they want. We rented what seemed like a decent house in Meyerland. We found out 2 days after moving in that the owner is a slumlord and owns houses all over Houston in nice neighborhoods keeping them just intact enough to rent. This company represents her and writes custom leasing agreements for her. We could not live in the house for the last 6 months of our lease because it was so unfit for habitation. Mold, sewage leak in the backyard, water pipes in the house that were dissolving putting rust and lead into the water, exterior doors that wouldnt close, bad electric wiring, moisture seeping up through the slab during heavy rain, a diseased tree with huge rotting limbs that made it dangerous to be in the backyard at all, etc.... These are just some of the complaints that we had while living in this house. From my research I have found that other renters had similar experience in other properties owned by the same person represented by Coldwell Banker United, Realtors. We were unable to get out of our lease even one month early which we requested and were met with threats of suit and thousands of dollars of fines. Dont make the same mistake that we did.

IN REGARDS TO AGENT JESSICA ESCAMILLA- My realtor put in an early offer for a home that was listed by Listing Agent Jessica Escamilla. Initially the communication was horrible right off the bat, as she did not answer calls or respond to texts until days later. She was asked for a sellers disclosure list several times by my Agent but continued to make up excuses to ward off any potential buyers , because little did I know from talking to a nearby neighbor of the listed property, she was familiar with the house she was selling and was saving it for someone that she personally wanted to make sure got in the house instead of an equal opportunity for the general public. She tried to further delay by asking if I had an updated pre-qualifying letter, in which I did and had my Agent sent it right away, which im sure was to her surprise because all of my paperwork and everything was on time so she ran out of tactics to use to delay transaction for the people she wanted to sell the house to that she knew. Then she asked for us to resend everything all over again. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COLDWELL BANKER BRANCH
