When I first contacted the Burks Team 5-1/2 years ago, it was because we were transferring from a small East Texas town 90 miles away to the Tyler area. I did not know who to call or what to do. I was looking at houses online and it asked me to enter my contact information. The next morning I received a call from Matt Cornelius who asked me what I would love in a home. He was very precise, and I gave him exactly what I needed. He not only found my home, but I thought I could assist by finding other homes to look at - and he humored me, although he pointed out with each one why I would not like it, given my original list. He was spot on! I have since referred my child to him to help sell her house and buy another (they bought the first house he recommended) and sent a neighbor when they were listing their home. Matt is now a trusted friend and I think he is the best in Tyler. Burks has been so supportive through the years. I would trust them with any purchase or sale of a home!

I really enjoyed working with the Burks Team. I rented a house through their company for a couple of years until we were ready to purchase a home. We transition over to their real estate team and hooked up with Matt Cornelius. He was such a pleasure to work with. He was very knowledgeable and was always available via text, email, and phone any time of the day. Ive referred a co-worker to him and he had an equally enjoyable experience. The Burks team also does a great job retaining customers and keeping us happy. Im always telling friends and family of the "special" activities that happen for their customers. No one I know has a better realtor to use than we do. They are always so jealous of how well The Burks team treats us.

I listed with the Burks because of their Ads stating they would buy the house if they didnt sell it in six months. It didnt sell. When the six months was over the agent called to list the house again for another six months. I asked about the Ad theyd run and he denied they had any Ad, but, contradicting himself said my house didnt qualify because it had a septic system...and if Id list again he would speak to the broker about waiving that requirement. I asked for copies of the listing agreement, and the agent said he would email them. Hes not done that nor returned numerous phone calls. Ive filed a formal complaint with the Texas Real Estate Commission.

I am a first time house owner. They are very professional. I searched online and left my phone number. They called back the second day and we met the day after.mI got to know everything I needed to know at my first meeting (more than two hours information session). They also helped me with the loan part at a local bank,10% down payment and I got two loans, one for the down payment and the other for the mortgage. The follow up wa good experience, too. I am sure I would have been so stressed out and helpless if I did it myself.
