We just got home from staying at the Thunder point house. We had a great three night stay and the location was perfect. How ever, I just received a phone call from the rental company and they said they were charging me an additional 50 for cleaning because there was sand on the floor and the blankets were on the floor (per the checkout instructions we put them next to the laundry bag they provided containing the used sheets and towles). Then Lisa asked if we had dogs, and yes we did. I told Lisa when I made paid the reservation and marked the box on the website. Well she told me that would be an additional 100. I asked why this was not included in the pricing and she asked me to hold on, when she got back on the phone she (rudely) said we will have to take care of this some other way, and hung up on me! In conclusion: house was great, rental company needs to work on customer service.

We just arrived at the house after a day of wedding preparations and this house is DISGUSTING. And that isnt hyperbole. Its foul. It wreaks of mildew. The pillows, air vents and comforters are covered in mildew. The beds do not have linens on them (linens are in a bundle on top of each bed), just a blanket and a mattress cover. Every single comforter in this house is stained. And when the blankets are pulled back to reveal the mattress covers, they are pee stained, moldy, and have stains of unknown origin. It is clear that these covers have NEVER been removed and washed. The showers are disgusting. There is hair stuck to the shower wall in one of the bathrooms. It is reprehensible that this home would be rented out in this condition.

The deck has a fantastic view - day and night (full moon). The beds were very comfortable. But no one tells you that the water is not drinkable! It looks like pee being recycled. One of the grand kids drank out of the tap before we knew the water was not drinkable. So had a sick kid from the start. I mean paying this much for no drinkable water. A very small piece of paper was on the fridge, not exactly something I would read first thing. The linens were provided except you have to put sheets on the beds, the towels were old cheap and did not have enough towels so had to do laundry ever day. Then you have to strip the sheets off the beds and put them back into a laundry bag then make the beds up with comforters.

Do not rent Beach Point unless you take everything you could possibly need. Toilet paper, paper towels, soap, bath towels if you dont want ones that are thread bare and stained, disgusting. Be prepared to make your own beds and clean before you leave. Take garbage bags as well. Oh and forks as they had only 2. The ceiling tiles are stained and falling out. Other than that the location was good. Worst rental ever.

We Stayed at the Beach Barn in Sufside, Tx. There was water all around the base of the house. The cause? The septic was overflowing. We called and they didnt do ANYTHING about it. The upstairs TV didnt work, there were mosquitoes EVERYWHERE because of the standing water. It was a horrible stay. Cant believe they actually put us in this house without checking it.
