We were the buyers for a Better Homes and Garden home. They did not represent me as a client. We had to extend our contract because we were not able to get ahold of their realtor Gretchen. The process for going under contract was very long because their was a great lack of communication. We had to break contract briefly because they finally responded one hour before our option pending ended (this was after the first extension). We had to wait and pick up the keys at her office instead of her bringing them to closing. I found this to be very disrespectful of our time. House advertised that the refrigerater and washer and dryer were included. When closing, we found out they were taken. We did not include in contract since it was stated is would be there. I understand they dont have to keep them there but it showed a great lack of integrity. They were under the impression we wanted them. House had new hole in flooring and a dent in the wall from moving. House was left filthy. I called and spoke to manager and was interrupted through out the entire conversation and was reminded that the contract is black and white. I understood that, but felt that my complaint was not taken seriously. I will never buy a house by this company again. I know that every realtor under this company is not like this, but my experience was so unethical, vindictive, and cut throat, that I will never buy from this branch ever again.

This is a review of Melissa McFarland, Realtor from Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate on Nasa Parkway. Melissa was absolutely fantastic! From the onset I knew I had picked the right Realtor. Her professionalism and work ethic are top-notch. To say she was available to answer all my inane, first time home buyer questions is an understatement; be it 2130 on Wednesday or 0800 on Saturday. She answered every call, promptly replied to all my email and texts. Even knowing I was not her only client; she made me feel like I was the most important. Melissa competently walked me through every step of the home buying process. From helping me make the offer to negotiating the last amendment, she always had my best interests at heart. Her knowledge of the local market was excellent. The lender she introduced me to, Rex Whaley, not only took care of my needs he put together a great deal, none of the other lenders even came close. Melissa sets the standard of being a caring, honest, professional Realtor. I would recommend her to everyone thinking of buying or selling a home. The coordinator for the USAA Rewards Network was on top of everything and was there as a resource as needed.

Realtor (Haley Lusson) did an amazing job! She was pro-active in finding us a house as quickly as possible (we were under a time restraint) and making sure everything we asked for and needed was taken care of. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a house to rent or buy!
