Fellow Consumers, here is a rare story. I want to let you know that there are still people who care about doing the right thing in this country. I have an unusual story. I live in San Diego. I own a 61 year old antique truck which I will use in my mobile tool business as soon as its set up is finally finished. This truck replaces my previous everyday run of the mill tool truck just like everyone else that does what I do has. It has been a challenge to set up this business again after the theft of my inventory and the truck itself that happened OVER a year ago now. So being very close to being completed it was driving me crazy that some vital engine parts that are hard to find were not coming to me because the person who had these parts did not share my urgency for getting them to me. We first made contact to get me these things almost 90 days ago so I was running out of hope of ever seeing these things. That person lives 1400 miles from me. From this point I will call him Mr Magnolia TX since that is where my parts were. Being creative, I called him and told Mr Mag Tx that I would hire a company to come to his place, box the parts and ship them to me to make sure it got done. He agreed that was probably what would need to be done because of his busy schedule. Being creative, I called a better known competitor whose initials are 1800GJ and asked them to go retrieve my stuff. They were unwilling to do this because it required that the parts be boxed and shipped and that their franchise agreement prohibited this. I found this extremely inflexible that this competitor wouldnt instead of depositing things in a land fill or the trash wouldnt instead make them ready for FedEX to come get them and label the box or to have me send a label and them to drop the box off at Fedex. The parts are not very large and the whole package weighs less than 40 pounds but they wouldnt do it. This GJ competitor even refused after I stated I would sign and even write my own release of liability. Fortunately, there was just enough humanity in these GJ people that they referred me to THEIR competitor so I called the main number for College Hunks and the proficient and nice folks at the main number set me up with Mr Chase Smith of College Hunks Hauling Junk at 430 Est Helms Road Houston TX 77037. Mr Smith was SO ON IT. He completely understood what I was trying to do. He also agreed to do this even though what I was seeking was outside the regular thing they also do. "I dont see why instead of going taking these thing to a land fill, I cant instead take them to my office and have FEDEX come pick them up." was his response. Immediately Mr Smith phoned Mr Magnoia TX who had my vital extremely rare oil bath air cleaner parts to set up a meeting. His direct way and focus made the holder of my parts there in Magnolia TX realize how important this was to me. Somehow Mr Smith was able to spark the urgency that was needed for Mr Magnolia TX parts holder to finally go act. Mostly because of Mr Smith of College Hunks of Helms Rd, Mr Magnolia TX went right out and shipped my parts that I had been hoping for all that time. Mr Smith had phoned a few times and also followed up with me. Even though he never got this assignment or paid he was none the less extremely conscientious and not afraid to think and work outside the "box" . If working with a person that is smart, driven, organized, and has a heart is important to you than by all means hire College Hunks on Helms Rd. Thank you Mr Chase Smith you were super important to me and my family. We need to get my business that has been in limbo for almost 13 months back up and running and now we are a very important step closer...

These guys really pulled a doozy on me. They were scheduled to be at my house Friday at 1pm and called me Friday morning saying they had overbooked and could they show up Monday. That really put me in a bind so we agreed on Saturday at 1pm. They come by to take a look at what I have to pack and move Saturday morning with big apologies and a promised discount. So Saturday afternoon 1:30PM rolls around and they arent here. I call them. They cancelled on me! Two days in a row. If I had other people moving into my house the next day I would have been in serious trouble. I cannot believe how these guys do business.

All of the workers were professional, courteous and hard working. It was also the only company to pack and load without breaking anything, that was a big plus for my family.
