This company is a good group of guys, but quite honestly I had a tough time during my last move. They forgot a number of items at the warehouse (my sons bed frame) and didnt come back for a couple of days to fix. In addition, my daughters mattress had two big holes in the mattress and the only compensation from Woodlands M&S was to quote Texas state law stating a mattress is insured up to $.60 per lb. Which meant they offered to have the mattress sewn and not replaced. Sewing a mattress is a temporary band aid. My daughter is young and hard on her mattress and I suspect I will be forced to buy another mattress in the very near future. An employee in the office felt the level of compensation to sew the mattress was adequate and I should be happy they were willing to fix the mattress at all. They stated they had once moved in the with a moving company that didnt replace or repair items that had been broken or mishandled so therefore in their opinion Woodland M&S was doing right by me. Furthermore, WM&S movers had to come to my home over a 2 week period to either redo (reinstall a refrigerator and its doors, a wash machine that was re-installed by WM&S incorrectly), bring parts that were forgotten in the warehouse (daughters dresser mirror rails and my sons bed rails), or repair (daughters bed mattress). Yes, like my friend Scott and the rest of the guys at WM&S indicated, each time we called and asked for their assistance they did came and tried to fix, redo, or repair, but the inconvenience of having to home each time they came, coupled with having to call to request repairs, etc, and the overall move was combination for a not so pleasant experience. I think they deserve 2 stars simply because the job wasnt completely horrible, the movers worked hard when they came and the office answered each and every call we made and responded appropriately, but overall I was just not satisfied with the move process. They also stored my furniture for a year and during the initial move into storage and during the storage time period I was very satisfied, but the move back to Texas was disappointing. Im sorry to have to give them low marks because they were professional and responsive and I feel like they are overall trying to do the right thing, but I was just not happy with this particular experience.

Used Woodlands Moving & Storage to move from my 3rd floor apartment to another apartment within the same complex on the second floor. (Walking distance) Spoke with Steven who suggested a 3 man crew, which I was perfectly fine with. Any way to save me money. As Texas weather goes, its pouring down raining the morning of the scheduled move. The moving company calls me to reschedule for the next day. (Which I totally understood.) Next day comes and only 2 guys show up. Unaware I was on the third floor, they called the office and spoke with Jason about needing another guy to help. Jason informed them that I originally wanted 2 people so HE made the call to only send out 2 people. (I wanted 3 movers, thats what the quote was for from Steven) 2 guys werent going to be able to do the job fully within the 2 hours that they originally quoted which would cause me to fork out more money. I then called Jason and he apologized and said he would honor the price of the quote if it ends up taking longer. All in all, the 2 movers were great. They got right to moving things, did not lollygag and basically said they would move all the heavy boxes and furniture to save me money. They moved a queen bedroom set (bed, dresser and nightstand), kitchen table, 2 couches, coffee table and a few boxes and set up the furniture in 1 hour and 45 minutes. I ended up moving everything else myself. If you want a partial job done, book this company.

When I made an appointment with Woodlands Moving, I let them know I might need some help with packing a few items. I confirmed it the day before when they called to confirm. I also made sure they knew I needed the entire day. The crew that came in did not want to do any packing. The little they packed was done without any thought. They were very unprofessional throughout the day complaining about how long the job was taking - the company said I had them until 6pm. They were paid and out the door by 5:30 PM. They dropped a few items in my presence. I later found more damage from how they loaded the stuff - ripped leather, chipped paint, scratches. None of them major, but too many to forgive. We also have several items missing, weve unpacked everything and they did not turn up. Thankfully, I had moved my entire kitchen china and most valuable art before hand. Most of the day I spent running after them because they said yes to all my requests, but kept doing things how ever they wanted - after they left, I had to move many boxes to the right room because they didnt bother looking at the labeled boxes. Moving a big house is already stressful enough, I didnt need the Woodlands Moving crew to add to that. I filed a claim, and have the registered confirmation they received it 10 days ago - they have not responded at this time.

I have NEVER written a review before on here, but felt I just had to after my experience with this company last week. It was a very sudden move after splitting with my significant other. I booked a 3-man crew 3 days before my move. They arrived within the hour I was told. I told them it wasnt the best situation & I needed to do that VERY quickly. They were respectful & amazing & got that part done in about 30 min. Then onto my storage unit to get the rest of my stuff...only 30 min there. Then moving all my crap up to a third floor apartment with no elevator. No damage to anything, all 3 of them had a great attitude & got the entire job done in 3 hrs 15 min! Will definitely use them again & you should too!

I would diffently believe the reviews. they low balled me on the quote. then the guys moving would not load up all the stuff stating that i asked for 3 1/2 hours to move all my things. and they had other jobs to go do. they broke two items and acted as if it was broken before. to sum it all up. i paid twice the amount quoted and had to go rent another truck and 2 men to finish moving all my stuff. the worst experience ever. i felt violated.

Woodlands Moving and Storage moved our 3 bdrm house and did a fantastic job. It was the first time I have moved without having something damaged. The guys knew exactly what they were doing and showed up ready to work. They did not stop the entire time and had my whole house packed/unpacked before I noticed. I would definitely recommend them above any other company I have used in the past!

I have nothing but good things to say about Woodlands Moving and Storage. They were professional, polite and very considerate of our furniture, boxes, etc. The movers did not dawdle or take breaks; they started working almost immediately and continued until all was done. I certainly would use them again and highly recommend Woodlands Moving and Storage for your in-town moving needs.
