Mr. Matt Barbosa impressed me from the moment he called me back for my emergency call to the moment he effectively completed the job. The best part was that he found other issues with my system and gave me affordable options to bring my system up to a good state of repair. I contacted Barbosa Plumbing and Air Conditioning because I knew they were local, and I appreciated how they were on-site at the 2017 Carrollton 5K as a sponsor of that great event. I was very glad I gave them a chance when my A/C condensation line got backed up and started leaking water into my garage because Mr. Matt Barbosa also found an electrical short on my condenser unit that posed a safety issue. I have a small child at my residence, so he fixed this for us at a very appropriate and affordable additional cost potentially saving me or my family from getting a shock or even preventing a fire! He showed me the condition the wire was in, and he explained the proposed repair. He also took the time to check the other components on my condenser and noted that my capacitor was getting close to be out of variance. He advised it could probably make it through the summer. He didnt push the repair, but because of his approach, I opted to go ahead and have him change this out while he was at it. To summarize, Mr. Matt Barbosa took a lot of time with me to explain what he was doing and why. I could tell he has the heart of a teacher and a servants approach as he wasnt trying to push a whole bunch of unnecessary repairs on me or anything. Bottom-line, this is the type of service tech you hope you get when you randomly pick someone from the area. Needless to say, for any and all of my plumbing and A/C needs, they have got a customer for life!

I’d used Barbosa for a couple small plumbing issues in the past, so when we mysteriously had water start coming up through the floor in our house they were the first people I thought to call. I was out of town, so my wife was the one home that actually dealt with them on her own. They took a look around and ran some tests and came to the conclusion that a sewer pipe under the house was leaking, said there was no chance that it would pass a pressure test (which they did not run), and quoted us $40,000 to replace all of the piping under the house via tunneling under there. Well, of course I’m going to get a second (and third, and fourth) opinion on something so major, and every other plumber I talked to literally laughed out loud when I told them what they proposed we do and the price for it. Other plumbers said that even if we did have to replace everything under the house, that $40k was outrageously high for it, and it should be more in the range of $20-25k for a house our size. Turns out there was no leak at all, and that the pipes passed the pressure test with flying colors. There was standing water in a void under the foundation and a leak from the master shower, not a leaking pipe under the house. There’s absolutely no way I’d consider doing business with these guys again; they were dead wrong on the diagnosis and tried to charge almost double what it should have cost in the event that they were correct.

I have been using Barbosa Mechanical for about 3 years now as a yearly maintenance service. Everytime they come out, they are friendly and professional. They are very patient and take the time to explain what they are doing and educate me about my HVAC system and the pros and cons of it. They give me recommendations as to how I could improve my system, and us things that may need repair in the future, but are never pushy, and admit when "It doesnt need to be replaced right now". My most recent experience was with Luke, and he was very knowledgable about the entire desire and layout of HVAC systems. Him and I talked about the airflow problems I have had since we moved in, and he gave me am idea about my options for improvement when I am ready to do it. I cant recommend Barbosa Mechanical enough. Very rarely do I deal with a company that is this honest and trustworthy. They have earned my respect as a company, and have earned a longtime customer in the process.

Today is the second time in a year weve used Barbosa Plumbing & Air Conditioning, and I remain as pleased and impressed with the professionalism, service, speed, and price of everyone that I deal with in this company. I called Andy this morning because my AC stopped working during the night, and by 8 in the morning it was 86 degrees inside. Even with the short notice, Andy had Mathew over to my place the same day, and he was able to make repairs and have the house cooling in no time. I am completely satisfied with both service calls that Ive had to make with this company, and we will be using them for all of our HVAC needs as long as they are in business, as well as recommending them to anyone that needs the services of an HVAC technician.

Matt, came out to my house, and looked at my AC and made really great recommendations as to how to solve the problem. The question was if it was worth trying to repair the old AC or investing in a new unit. We spoke about the importance of being responsible stewards and not throwing stuff out that could be repaired. He explained how his company recycles and reuses good condition parts to minimize the impact on the environment. We decided to buy a new unit and he helped us get a bank to finance the AC. I highly recommend Barbosa Plumbing & Air, they are experts that want to find the best solution to your problem and will work with you to make it work. Great work, very thankful!

Highly recommended. Lost AC last week in 100 degree heat. Called for service and repairman arrived within 3 hours. Got unit working shortly thereafter. Unit is 14 years old so discussed replacement options with Luke. Presented with five options before deciding on one. Installation of new unit was completed in one day. Friendly crew and they took care to protect carpet and walls in areas they were working in. Will definitely use again in the future as plumbing, heating and air events occur. We have owned our home for 30 years and I have used many different vendors over the years. This was the best experience and I highly recommend to anyone having AC problems.

Complete new A/C system installed, these guys were excellent! Local and Family Owned yet still competitive in pricing! Luke took the time to explain exactly what our old A/C wasnt doing and helped us make a decision on the most effective unit that would not only save us money but make our home comfortable again! Hearing that it was time to replace our A/C as a homeowner was a nightmare but in the end these guys made us feel good about it! Over the years, we have had excellent overall service and attention from Barbosa. They are professional, great at customer care and are very good at what they do. About 3 years ago, we had a whole new Infinity unit put in. This unit has been everything they said it would be. Our AC bill dropped by about 30%! Here in Texas, that is a big deal. Also, it cools more evenly and more comfortably throughout the house than our old system. My husband and I want to especially say a big thanks to both Luke and Andy!
