I could not be more happy with the price and service that I received with Frymire on the new A/C (air handler and condenser unit) I had installed in my home yesterday. First and foremost the sales rep Tony Mendes was one of the most helpful, polite and thorough A/C folks that I had come through my home, and trust me, I got a lot of estimates and saw a lot of people! Tony treated me like my family was special and truly provided me with confidence in the company. One thing that he did was to check my breaker box to make sure I had the proper wiring for the unit that he was going to give me an estimate on (only one other company did that and I had to ask them to after Tony came). My home was built in 1978 and had the original air handler so quite a few things have changed with city codes and with technological updates. Tony was concerned that my home had the wrong wire size for the new equipment. Obviously I was not happy to hear that I might have to run new wire from the breaker box. Tony gave me the estimate and it wasnt the lowest bid but it was the lowest bid for better equipment. He left my home and and said he would ask if one the Frymire electricians (they usually only handle commercial jobs) could come out and take a look at the box. A few days later the electricians came out on one of the days it was snowy and icy (impressed they kept the appointment). The electricians said that my wiring was fine and I was good to go with the equipment so I set up my install date with Tony. My time frame for install was 8- 10 and I received a phone call from the tech at 8 to tell me they were ten minutes away. Ten minutes later Jorge Fernandez and another technician named Jose showed up on my doorstep. Both were clean and professionally dressed and I invited them in. One of the things that I read about was that one of the most important thing about air conditioners was that the units are properly installed and when Jorge walked me through the process of the installation I was confident that it would be. The guys were very considerate of me and my 17 month old son that I had at home with me that day. His room was (of course) right next to where Jose was working on the inside. At nap time he started crying and Jose told me that if I wanted to put him down that he would be really quiet. I put him down for a nap and he slept for an hour and a half with work being done right outside his door! Later that day Gary Van Kirk The change out manager came out to check on the install. He looked it over and asked the guys a few questions and made sure things were going well. He chatted with me for a few minutes and again made me feel special and that my home and my business were important to him. The guys finished up the work, checked everything out, cleaned up and went over everything that they had done. It looked and worked great! The last person I spoke with was a rep from the office named Diana Galvan. She was courteous as she took my payment and offered to email me a receipt and she did immediately. If you need A/C service I highly recommend Frymire.

Had not planned to write a review, but since you sent more emails requesting one here it is. I scheduled my maintenance service for Monday. Had your tech show and give me a favorable report on both my systems. By early Wednesday morning I thought I heard a thumping noise coming from the attic. Went out early that morning, came home and heard the noise again accompanied by the smell of gas. I called immediately. I was told to shut down both systems and open a window. You sent a different tech out (who was very nice), who told me that both systems would not start up now! I had just been told a day and a half ago that everything was working with no issues, hmmm. Hours later, John got the one system to work, but said the other need at least a new circuit board. He ordered it. I would like to note it was in the 30s and would not get out of the 30s for days. He wasnt sure when the part would be in. Friday, my husband called to check on the part, and said no one seemed to know what he was talking about. Then later he was told parts were expected in at the end of the day. I got a message late that day stating the part wasnt on the truck, I would get a call MONDAY if it came in by then. I called back to inquire where the part could be coming from that it would take so long to acquire. This is where I was treated very coldly by the customer service operator. She showed no concern that we had already spent 3 days with no heat downstairs in frigid temps, nor did she seem to care if and when the part would show up. A simple Im so sorry for the inconvenience, or anything would have helped a little. I cant help but feel that something was done incorrectly during the initial maintenance call, and that the part had not been ordered until my husband called Friday with his inquiry. I received a call Moday that the part was in, but still had to wait until 5pm Tuesday for the part to be installed. So, I had no heat for six days; after I was told the system was "all good" less than 48 hours prior. So, when you ask how my "service experience" was, except for John, I am not impressed.

Ive been with Frymire for 13 years. Loved their service and how they were able to baby my system for years by doing minor repairs and then when we purchased a new unit they were very thorough. However, in the spring 2017 when I was ready for my annual spring tuneup, they were in bankruptcy so I used another company that said they were covering for them during the transition. They were fine and then Frymire called back up in June and I started back up with them under new management! The customer service is now TERRIBLE. I never got a call before they came. I had them come because of a problem with the upstairs being hot and the downstairs way too cold. They said it was the damper motor, so they ordered me a new part. 2 weeks later I call to see whats taking so long. They say its on backorder. I call a week later to see how its going - - they tell me theyll have dispatch call me. He calls and tells me the part I need cant be ordered (so it was never ordered in the 1st place?!!) and they try to sell me an entirely new damper system that they want to attach to my current one and "make it work". And of course, its twice as much money. I ask for a discount because of all the hassle and run around. I call the guy they tell me talk to, the lady takes down my name (I cant leave a message directly to him) and that was 3 days ago and I still have not received a return phone call! Needless to say...Im done with Frymire. Its very sad to see the service go down the tube after the great company it used to be. Ive gone to Berkeys which is much cheaper for its yearly plan too! And its A+ rating and they came same day I called!! They were verified and highly ranked in the McKinney and Collin County Services catalog. Wish me luck. Good bye Frymire!
