This salon was horrible! They were completely unprofessional and simply rude to their customers. I went in for senegalese twists and the first woman who started my hair did a horrible job. The back section all the way to my middle section of my hair was fuzzy and you can tell when my hair stopped in the twists and the second lady who did the first part of my hair did it perfect. No fly aways, but my hair obviously looked like TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE DID IT. And the whole shop made fun of my hair and the way i had put it for when they needed to start doing my hair. And every time a potential customer came in, after they left, each worker in the shop would mock and make fun of the person as soon as they turned around and left. When my mother came into the shop just after leaving her military base, these women had the audacity to disrespect her when she also saw the issue with my hair and they had a fit when they were told to fix the issue, and they were completely disrespectful to my mother on her opinion when I thought THE PAYING CUSTOMER WAS ALWAYS RIGHT. And the fact that she just got back from deployment that same morning, and they were just so cruel but yet they wanted MY $200. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GO TO. AND NOT EVEN 72 HOURS AFTER I GOT MY HAIR DONE DID I HAVE TWISTS FALLING OUT. LEFT AND RIGHT MY HAIR IS COMING OUT. DO NOT GO HERE. And I will be posting on every review site I come in contact with just so they can know how disrespectful these people were.

I went about 8 weeks ago and had the absolute best experience. I had my daughter with me (she was 9 almost 10 months at the time) but they welcomed her with no problem as I sat in the chair to get micro Senegalese twists (at least they didnt show that they were annoyed if they were). Anywho, I got there at 4pm on a Friday and it took them 4 hours to finish my head, and I have thick natural hair. I took them down today with ease and minimal shedding. I didnt have chunks of hair coming out or excessive shedding (thats always a big concern because even tho my hair is thick, its also fine). I could have definitely gone another 4-6 weeks easily, but I typically cant wear a hairstyle for more than 2 weeks lol. They were very polite, professional, and provided quality work. Best braiding shop Ive been to in North Dallas. Thank you ladies!! Youre awesome! Oh....and there was very little pain after the twists were installed, but the next morning I was fine. No headache or soreness. Better go see them.

Microbraids were coming out on same day. Went back for them to fix and they still came out the next day. Braiders are probably not licensed. Paid $200 for these amateur looking braids. Shop dirty and roaches! Never cleaning or sanitizing of combs or hair clips. STAY AWAY! Deserve a 0 star.... And as to the claim by owner I have been using the same brand and texture of hair for the past 15 years with my microbraids. ..never had a problem. And yes, you DO have roaches, NO sanitizing ever happened and NO the braiders name was not posted as a licensed braider. Also, I not only wasted $200 but I wasted $169 for the high quality hair I purchased and the gas/time to come back. I wasnt compensated. Please do spend the money well! I will find someone professional, sanitary and skilled!

I had my twins hair braided at this shop about 8 months ago, Im super late with this review. They did a really good job, only negative thing I can say is when I made the appt I was not told that since they supplied the hair it would be extra. The owner must of saw the frustration on my face so she let it go. They did such a good job the first time, I made a second appt which I made a few days in advance. The day of my appt I called to say I was on my way, no one answered. After calling several times and no answer, I called the owners cell. She proceeded to tell me that they went home for the day because they were slow and for me to reschedule. Needless to say I was BEYOND pissed. We were going out of town and my girls needed their hair down. Horrible customer service..

This shop will Close if you are running late after 5:00 p.m. but they will remain open if they are working on someones hair. I had to work on a particular Saturday and got off at 4:00 p.m. and had to go pick up my daughter. The appt. was scheduled for 5:00 p.m. I was called twice earlier in the day to see if I could resched, way before and I told her unable to. At 10 minutes til 5:00, I called the salon and I am on my way. I arrived at 5:30 p.m. and the shop was Closed. Talking about TICKED off because my daughters previous braids were taking out. She was on a Special Program the next day. OMG I was so upset. I had to take her sonewhere else. So please Beware this particular Braiding Salon will close early at times. Have a plan B.

Mmh Where do i start. Called and made an appointment. Got there and the two ladies were ready for me. They asked me the hair style i wanted i showed them a picture .They brought out the hair which is included in the price i was in at 9 and out by 12.30.The Braiders are very polite and offered me a drink. Mostly i dont expect that at the African Braiding Salon. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is professional.The A/c was bait cold and i asked if they could increase it since i was freezing but they said they didnt know how too.Which was a bit odd.Everything else is great.The price and service is awesome. I will definitely return...

I just left there. By far one of the best experiences I have ever had. EVERYONE was nice, socialabe and just damm right out friendly. I recommend this place to anyone. Prices are reasonable. It was the little things that made a difference. Person next to me was getting her hair done and she didnt like the way it looked. Her stylist worked on it until she liked it, not once seemed to be bother by that. When people walked they werr greeted and told they would be right with them. They were finishing my hair. Marley braids medium size took 4 hours. EVERYONE WORKED AS A TEAM. I will be back!!!

I was a walk in and I was seen immediately even though they were busy! The shop was very clean and the atmosphere was nice. The lady who started on my hair was very nice and took care not to pull my hair or hurt my head. After a while a lady came to help her by doing the left side of my head. The second lady was a little heavy handed so it hurt a little bit but it didnt last long. It took about 3 1/2 hours and that was WAAY SHORTER than I had anticipated. Both ladies were very nice and polite and gave me a great experience

Got my hair done in medium box braids a little over a week ago. While they completed my hair in 3hrs and were professional; less than a week later braids have come out already. Two people were braiding my hair. The lady who was in the back didnt do a good job. My hair is sticking out from the braids and the size of the braids in the back and middle is inconsistent. I doubt these will last for 6-8 weeks if Im already losing braids. After paying $200 I expected a bit more longevity.
