So, Ive had a shaved head for the past 5 years. Before then, Id just go to those cheap $5 haircut places and get the generic mens cut ha. Ive been growing it out for over 2 months now, and got to the point where I needed to do something with it. Asian hair grows out kinda weird... like puffy and straight out. So, I started researching mens hair salons in my area and came across Travis Salon and all the positive reviews. I can see why! I e-mailed Tim, let him know of my situation and that I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, and we set an appointment. The salon is pretty cool, looks like they turned a nice little Uptown house into a salon. He gave my wife and I beers as we walked in and the atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. I showed him a few pictures on my phone I pulled off the internet of certain hairstyles Id like to emulate, and we were on the same page. (messy combover kinda look) Shampoo, haircut, shampoo, and style. For a guy whos been shaving his own head for the past 5 years, this was a different experience for me ha. Love the way it turned out, Tim really knows what hes doing. My wife and I were very impressed with how everything looked. Will definitely be coming back and recommending Tim and Travis Salon in general. Great service, atmosphere, and haircut/style.

Im a guy and Ive been trying to grow my hair long for a while. Problem is, everytime it gets to a medium length, my curly hair goes crazy and I cant figure out what to do with it. It starts to poof out on me before I can stand to let it grow long. Ive been other places and they usually do an OK job but they cut too much off when Ive already explained to them that Im trying to grow it out. Tim was able to figure out how to tame my wild hair and now it looks tidy but I still have the length I wanted. The place was extremely clean and it has a nice, relaxed evironment. I have only been to one place this nice before and it literally cost me 3 times as much. If youre picky about your hair but dont want to break your wallet, give Travis Salon a try.

I love this place! I recently moved down here from up north and have been dreading trying to find a new stylist, but after talking to a few coworkers and new acquantances, Travis Salon kept coming up. I finally got up enough nerve to go in and was SO happily surprised. There was no wait, and even though Tim had a full afternoon booked, he made sure to make time to squeeze me into his schedule. He was so personable and had some great ideas about how to take care of my hair. I wound up with an incredible cut/color that was so manageable! If you are in the neighborhood, I would definitely reccommend you stop in and check this place out - and dont forget to pick up some of the incredible Bumble & Bumble products!!

I wish I could give out ten stars, because I could not be happier with my hair. Manuel is amazingly talented. I had been going to the same hairdresser all my life until I moved 900 miles away this year. Ive been trying to find someone I could trust just as much, and Im so thankful I came across this place. I had gotten highlights at a different uptown salon last week and they could not have made my hair look any more disastrous. Manuel took the time to fix all of the mistakes, add more highlights, and answer all of my questions honestly. This man is a genius!! I will continue seeing him for as long as I live in Dallas! Thank you, Manuel!

I have been going to Manuel for 17 years! He is absolutely amazing in his profession and as a person! He is an exceptionally talented colorist! I would never consider anyone else coloring or cutting and styling my hair. He is patient and listens to how you want your hair to look. Over the years, I have shown him many pictures of how I wanted my hair, EVERYTIME he would not only meet my expectations but succeed them! He has always made my hair ideas come to life even better than I envisioned. Manuel is the expert on color, always working his magic! I love the uptown location, very comfortable and personal.

I am so glad that a friend recommended Manuel at Travis Salon...he has been doing my hair for three years now and I couldnt be happier! Every time I see him, I leave the salon thinking "This is the best color ever!" I get so many compliments on his work and have recommended Manuel to several friends myself. The salon itself is wonderful--a serene haven in the heart of Uptown--and everyone there is so nice and accommodating. I couldnt be happier with my experience at this salon!

I absolutely LOVE Travis Salon. Perfect location, perfect atmosphere and what a great team. Tim and Manuel are the nicest people, and they go over and above to make you feel comfortable and welcome. Manuel has been doing my cut and color for over seven years now (wow!) and I absolutely refuse to go elsewhere. The highlights and lowlights are gorgeous and very natural looking...and his cuts are superb. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone!

Ive been going to Manuel Montante for nearly 7 years now. He is by far, THE best that has ever cut or highlighted my hair in Dallas. He is really an artist and perfectionist. He does a great job of listening to what you want and somehow making it 100 times better than you ever thought it could look. I trust him explicitly with my long hair. My husband also goes to him and he does an equally fantastic job on his hair. We wouldnt go anywhere else!

I love the no-fuss feel of this quaint salon. Services are timely, its cozy and I feel at home not like Im getting thrown in and out of the chair like other salons. Its truly relaxing. Manuel has been cutting my hair for 6 years and he never fails in making me feel 100x better when I leave. Whether its a cut or color I have always been beyond satisfied. Tim is a sweetheart as well. Highly recommend either of these men. They are fabulous.

I have been a faithful customer of Manuels for over 13 years. I have moved to 2 different cities during that time and I continue to return to Dallas because no one seems to get my hair right the way Manuel does. He just knows exactly what will make me look my best. I highly recommend! The Travis Salon is also fantastic. It is a very cute and quaint location in the heart of Uptown Dallas. Very convenient.

I have been going to Manuel for several years and he is the best! He really knows how to listen to what his clients want and make people feel comfortable. My husband is a now a client and wont let anyone else touch his hair. The salon is super cute and the atmosphere is very relaxing! I always leave there feeling that any stress has melted away. You wont regret going to Manuel or Travis Salon.
