The salon itself was nice, but I wont return due to the stylist. He splashed water all over me when he shampooed my hair (no kidding-it was on my arms, face, chest) and made no attempt to clean the hair off of me after or during my cut. There was a big pile beside me in the chair and tiny bits all over my face. Worse, he didnt seem like he knew how to style a womans hair. I came in with a pic showing the piecy, side-swept bangs I wanted and he did these awful, early 90s looking barrel rolled bangs. They were thick, blunt, and standing out an inch from my forehead. I asked him to fix them, and he just started texturing them until they look like Justin Bieber. Thankfully hair grows back, but it sucks having to deal with it until then. If you just want to try this salon, be smarter than I was and get a recommendation for a stylist thats worth his or her salt (and rate.)

Ive been visiting Sol Ben Hair Studio since they first opened about a year ago. Ive had about 4 different stylists during that time. Everyone one of them has given me a fantastic haircut. One of the best thing about the salon has to be their customer service and atmosphere. You will feel like a million dollars just being there. From the time you walk in you are greeted with a smile and asked if you want anything to drink including wine! Yes they have a bar with all types of drinks. I highly recommend Sol Ben Hair Studio to anyone wanting a great haircut or color. They have a great colorist at the salon.

I just called to make an appointment. I spoke to "Sol". He was beyond rude and unprofessional. I wanted to make an appointment for the evening on a weekday and he responded by rudely saying "Wow, thats late, you want to make an appointment that late?" Wow, thats really late, what about Sunday? Because thats really late" I asked for a 6 pm appointment. He made it sound like I asked for a haircut at midnight. Ok...what a rude moron. I just told him to forget it and I hung up on him.

Really cool salon. They did a great job with my color. Didnt act like I was crazy for wanting blonde and pink and purple hair! I just wish the prices were more reasonable! Jeeps I am a college freshman, not a king! I get that is typical of Uptown tho. They gave me a 15% discount for my first time and told me to follow them on twitter @solbendallas for $20 off... totally gonna do it. Pink hair fades fast yall!

If youre looking for a place to get your hair Japanese straightened then this is the place to go! Me and my sister have very curly hair.. the frizzy and unruly type. One afternoon with Sol and my hair was literally transformed- it is literally straight and its permanent! Im really happy with the results- Sol really knows what hes doing so you can sit back, relax and let him work his magic!

Fabulous salon! One of the classiest in Dallas. Very talented stylists and the owner makes everyone feel right at home. They go out of their way to make the experience fun, professional, and affordable. They pay attention to detail here! Sol is an amazing artist! Run, do not walk, to this salon!
