The highest level of service that can only be found in Texas by people that care! They took care of my elderly mothers hardware problem efficiently and economically. If you have an elderly parent or anyone who is not knowledgeable about computers living in Granbuy, call this business! They are friendly, professional, and you will be thrilled with the experience! That being said, heres the story: My elderly mother had a problem with her computer that I suspected (I live in Virginia) was a problem with the fan/heatsink on her CPU. Not being aware of a Granbury-based computer repair shop, I agreed with her when she said she needed to take it Best Buy in Weatherford, which is hard for her to do since its 25 miles away. She had to wait for a few days until her weekly housekeeper could load the computer into her car for her. I had called the Geek Squad at Best Buy, and, while unimpressed with the person I spoke to, described to them what to look for, and they assured me they could fix it. My mother took it to Best Buy, only to have the computer languish there for five days. When she called to see if it was ready, they told her yes. She drove back to Weatherford, again, at great effort for her, only to find that it was not fixed, and they would have to send it to Kentucky. She called to ask me what to do, and I told her she could send it to me, and I would fix it. Then she remembered seeing Action Computers in Granbury, so I told her to take it there and have them call me. When she took it there, they took it out of her car for her, listened to what she described, and told her it probably would be a quick fix, but they had to evaluate the computer first. When I spoke to them, they again agreed it would probably be a simple fix. They were able to get it on the bench later that day. They diagnosed that the compound between the heatsink and the CPU had deteriorated and a bracket had broken, and they were able to fix it right then with a $10 part they had in the shop. I asked if they could deliver it to my mothers house and hook it back up because I didnt want her to have to go through the same trial of waiting for someone to put it back into her house and then her having to figure out, with me helping over the phone, how to hook it back up. I thought the $35 home service fee was more than reasonable. They made an appointment the next day, and now shes back in business with a perfectly working computer. Important to note that she needed the computer repaired instead of buying a new one because she didnt want to have to learn a new operating system and didnt want the expense of transferring her old files to a new system. She has a Windows 7 system that works extremely well. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Action Computers! Everyone she dealt with made her feel comfortable, and they were THOROUGHLY PROFESSIONAL! Write down their number and give it to your elderly parent in Granbury. They make housecalls!

The staff at Action Computers are awesome. I orginally took my computer to another local repair business in Granbury for a virus and I was getting a blue screen error message. After spending over 500.00 to remove a virus, I was still getting these weird blue screens from the other shop when I brought it home. The other shop told me to bring it back for an additional charge and that I would have to wait 2 weeks to one month to get it back. I waited 5 weeks the first time. A friend had suggested Action Computers so I took it over there. They found the problem with the hardware right away. They also showed me that the virus had damaged my windows system. They replaced the hardware and repaired my windows system. All this for under 100.00 and it took less that an hour. They knew what the problem was right away. I will never go anywhere else. I have learned my expensive lesson. Action Computers is the place to go!!!

I went here because my laptop screen was messing up and case was broken. The man who helped us (its been about a month, so Im sorry to say I dont remember his name now) obviously knew what he was talking about. He took his time looking at it while I was there to determine if it could be fixed. By the time I arrived at his shop, my laptop wouldnt turn on, which was a big surprise to me. Very disappointing. He recommended getting a new computer rather than paying to have my laptop fixed. Then he took the time to give me advice about some good computers in my price range. I highly recommend this company. So thorough, knowledgeable, and caring.

Action Computers removed my virus in a reasonable time, (one day) for 200.00, less $20 coupon. But my computer does not work the same, had to research and replace ALL of my many bookmarks, and many of my games are not working correctly. Called Action computers days ago and still waiting for a return call. I dont think they want my business. 6/30/2011
