I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I walked in after previously calling to get a price quote about a iPhone 6 screen repair. I own a few phones due to running multiple businesses. First comment the employee stated was, "Wow, you have a lot of iPhones" I simply responded "Its for business". Another employee priced the repair for me as his colleague inspected my iPhone. I received the fees associated with the screen repair and immediately noticed a core charge of $10. I asked what the charge is for and the employee stated. "Because we cant use the screen from your repair we charge a core of $10" How does this even make sense if your bringing a cracked screen in for repair?? I told myself ok, its only $10. My total came out to 89.00 plus some change. I gave the ok to repair my iPhone 6. The employee then proceed to ask basic question pertaining to the repair. Phone number, Name, iPhone password to unlock it. I provided the information and got an estimated repair time and left. The iPhone was disabled from using my fingerprint passcode and trying to input password on my broke iPhone. I also misplaced my iPhone and used find my iPhone to locate it. I could turn it off because i cant unlock my broke screen and the iPhone must be connected to the internet in order for the phone to reset the LOST MODE. The manager called the number that was attached to my iPhone that was in Lost Mode. I immediately answered and informed the manager that i just dropped my phone off to them for repair. He then asked me "So, why is your phone in lost mode"? After providing all the answers to his question I asked him. "Why are you questioning me about my phone if I just provided you with all the information to verify that its my iPhone"? He then replied back, "You know what, you can just come get your phone we are not going to do the repair". I said "Gladly". I felt like because I walked in with basketball shorts, 3 phones, and had dread locks I got profiled. Not knowing the background of why I have multiple phones, I got treated like a phone thief, or maybe it was because of my race. Not sure but I didnt receive proper customer service. I dont write reviews normally but I felt mistreated and interrogated from a repair company. I wouldnt suggest giving them your business as they dont care about the customers.

If i could give this place half a star or less, I would. Be careful, cheap doesnt necessarily mean good. I went to 1Up repairs to get my iphone 5c screen repaired and had to return due to it being extremely hypersensitive, they "changed" the screen for me again or so they stated. I had to leave the state and return to my home state, when I got home my screen was extremely hypersensitive and unmanageable to the point that I immediately had to get it repaired at a local place. The new local shop not only repaired my screen but they also found another problem that the tech stated had been caused by the last tech who repaired the screen, in this case, 1Up. When I tried contacting them for a refund they were extremely dismissive and completely ignored my request. So, they basically gave me a defective screen "twice" and did not assume responsibility for their actions, specially since Im in another state. I will never make the same mistake of going here again whenever I am back in Austin. I suggest you dont make it either.

My PS3 slim stopped reading discs. I did a full reformat, no luck. I opened it up and cleaned the lens, no luck. At this point I knew it probably needed a new lens or just a full drive replacement. I had a Nintendo Wii fixed at another shop a couple years earlier and wasnt impressed with the service so this time I went online to search for a better repair shop for my PS3. I saw the great reviews for 1UP and decided to give it a try. I called John to get a quote and headed over. I dropped off at 11:30 on a Saturday. He did the drive replacement and called to tell me it was fixed. I was able to pick it up the same day at 3:00PM. I was expecting to have to wait a few days for this and it only took him a few hours. Highly recommend. Thanks John.

I went to this place to replace my iphone5 screen, they replaced it and it was a really bad quality screen, it didnt works well, making me had bad times, so went for second time to replace again the screen in warranty, everything ok, also I bought a screen protector anti impacts... 2 weeks later my iphone just felt from a small distance, and the screen got brake again. really bad quality, and they cant do anything else, so I waste About 80 dolars in a bad quality screen and a bad quality protector , because the protector broke too. My cellphone had been before with the original screen 1 year and a half getting impacts and hits without proyectors and perfect.

Custom PC users beware. Ive been having serious issues (random BSOD during games) and have had my computer checked by them at least 5 times. While I understand my issue was complicated, they have now told me that if they want it to be diagnosed further, I would have to pay additional charges despite the fact the PC still hasnt been fixed. Currently, I think the motherboard is the problem, but they dont use motherboards or CPUs for testing. Im sure with simpler issues their service is good and their staff was friendly and patient during the whole ordeal (hence two stars) but the fact remains that my PC is still having issues.

I had a gaming computer that just wouldnt work properly no matter what I did. Being an entrepreneur myself, I was too busy running my business to figure out what was wrong with it and fix it, so I brought it to John at 1up. Am I glad I did! He got it all fixed up with a new heatsink and motherboard, and charged a reasonable price for the repairs. Glad to have my gaming rig in full working order, and happy to have found a computer repair shop thats trustworthy and reasonably priced. John mentioned he also does virus removal, cell phone repairs, and iPhone repairs, so definitely check him out if you need that as well!

They quoted me 45 minutes to an hour for my repair. At 45 minutes I checked in, they said they were still working on it. At 65 minutes, they said another 10-15, then said that another time. After an hour and a half, I started to get frustrated. They apologized and discounted my repair, and also gave me extra screen protection, which I really appreciate. I would give them five stars, but the sign outside their store says "around 30 minutes" for a repair. They quoted me and two other customers that came in 45 minutes to an hour. So the 30 minutes claim is not truthful. Otherwise, nice people and good work.

The power button on my Nexus 6P was sticking, causing the phone to shut down and making it difficult to restart. 1Up Repairs ordered a new part and quoted a good price. They called me a few days later when the part arrived, so I dropped the phone off. I came back an hour later. The technician explained that he had discovered that the problem had not been with the power button itself, but with the outer casing of the phone, which was bent. He adjusted it and charged me nothing. Much later, the issue came up again, so I went back and again, received service with no charge. Very happy with this shop.
